Excellent campsite with immaculate facilities. Everything you could possibly want. Short 5 minute flat walk to clean beach with gorgeous views. The walk up to town is hard going but once at the top you are rewarded by spectacular views of the sea and coastline. Few shops and essentials on the main street of Harlech. Public transport is easy and a there is a wealth of information around the site on noticeboards etc. Campsite hasn't got much soul or atmosphere but if you don't mind that then it's a great, well run and reasonably priced camp.

Great site. Wonderful Toilets and showers, only offered one card to enter the toilets. This could be a downside when there are more than one of you in the group. Lovely views from the site and the site is near a beautiful beach. Shop and good pub within walking distance. The castle is a good walk up a steep hill but worth going to. The village seems a bit down at heel but there was a good cafe at the top of the hill which did a good breakfast. Would visit here again as there are bus and rail links to other places.

Came across this campsite by pure chance whilst touring west wales - what an absolute gem of a site - all hard standing spacious pitches, fully serviced, loads of space between pitches, and the washrooms are 5 star - beautifully clean, warm, accessed by a electronic key - card, All campsite owners should go check them out and learn from them ! no wonder they repeatedly win loo of the year - fabulous - the location is perfect, opposite the golf course and beach road - 5 mins from railway station which has a train service to all of snowdonia, connecting to the steam trains via Porthmadog and Barmouth, Barmouth is worth a visit - delightful, we found the train service excellent - punctual, clean - nothing like we are used too ! Harlech is a small town, couple of pubs and of course the castle, the walk up to town is very steep, but worth it - all in all one of the best campsites we have experienced and we look forward to returning soon.

Just returned from a long weekend at this site and was really impressed. Our party included my brother and his wife in their caravan and my daughter with her family. My daughter was late arriving due to her husbands work, but the staff were really helpful and said if they were really late they could book in the following morning.
The toilet and shower block could put many a hotel to shame. To say they were exceptional is an understatement, always clean, warm and piped music too. The site is really well kept and the pitches spacious and good quality with full services to all.
We walked up into Harlech and went around the castle, lovely quaint little town to roam around even though its quite a strenuous walk up there. We will definitely be going back here, we usually stick to Caravan Club sites, but even they could learn a thing or two from this one

We have just returned home from a super holiday at Min y Don Camping Site. The site is in an excellent location, about 5 minutes walk from the sand dunes and beach. There is a lovely golf club bordering the site. Harlech town, with lovely coffee shops and a great traditional pub called The Lion Hotel, is within walking distance (about 10 mins). There is a small supermarket within 5 minutes' walk of the site, selling most things.
The set itself has static caravans at the entrance, and the large touring fields are just beyond the static caravans. The site is mostly grassy, and level, on sandy soil, which does not get boggy in the rain. ALL pitches have water and drainage, which is great. The site owners are currently putting down some hard-standings for some touring vans. The toilet block is exceptional. We normally go to Caravan Club sites, and of course their toilet block facilities are excellent, but the toilet block facilities at Min y Don beat even those.
A great bonus on this site for those interested, is the FREE WIFI, available via a password. So, so handy for keeping in touch with family at home and for researching the immediate vicinity.
Dogs are welcome on site, and there is an adequate dog walk. There is a good playground for children, too.
Part of the Snowdonia mountain range is visible from the touring field. All in all, we had a lovely time here.

Lovely tidy campsite with scrupulously clean toilet facilities. easy walk to supermarket at the end of the road, which stocked most things. The excellent clean beach is only 5 minutes walk away and town, although up a steep hill, is easily walk able. Very good food and beer in the pub by the castle. However, we were made to feel most unwelcome when we arrived at the campsite. We arrived just after 5 and clearly this was an inconvenience to staff. Hence we will not be going back.

This is all about the 5 star toilet block you could not fault it.
Beach 10 minute walk up the road, lovely sand but the flies were very annoying only stayed 2 hours could not sun bathe
Plenty of castles to see
Carmarthen was £10-00 each bit pricey for a family with teens
Dog walk clean and adequate also children's playground clean but not many kids using it as they prefer to cycle and scooter around campsite very annoying

We stayed here during the busy Jubilee weekend. I had stayed here many times as a child and so was looking forward to going back with my children. The site is a great site for family's. The entrance is spacious with areas to pull up with your van while you visit reception. The welcome was warm and friendly. The site has static caravan's with the tourer's at the farthest end of the site.
We asked for a pitch near the children's play area and were given exactly that. The play area is one of the best we've seen with great facilities for the kids, loads of space and a cycle track which was a real bonus for our boys. The pitch was a nice size and we had no problem getting our van into it although there were some which would have been more tricky. The view from the site of the castle is wonderful. The fabulous beach is only a 10 minute walk away even with small children. Harlech itself is very small but quaint and the boys loved exploring the castle and pretending to be knights! The facilities on site ie the washrooms etc were fantastic as others have said.
Unfortunately we could not control the weather and woke up after a glorious first day to a collapsed awning with bent steel poles from the weight of the rain. There were 3 vans in the same predicament! Sadly the wardens on site were less than helpful simply giving my husband a card for the local outdoor equipment shop. No help was offered at all. Most sites we've been to would have at least asked if there was anything they could do to help. So we took the awning down in gale force winds and howling rain by ourselves and managed as best we could. The next day a warden did arrive at our pitch and asked if we would like to put anything into a spare bathroom they had - but this was a little late in the day. The weather forecast was awful for the rest of the week and with no awning and 2 small children we felt we had no choice but to head home. We were disappointed we could not have any refund given our predicament. However, this is one of the best sites we've been to especially for the children with the great play area and facilities plus the beach so close so we would love to return with hopefully some better weather!
Overall we've given it 7/10 but this is purely because of the lack of help we received when we had problems - the site itself is great!

We stayed in our 2 berth camper van on this site last week for only 1 night and thoroughly enjoyed everything about it.
The location about 5 mins walk fro the vast beach alongside the golf course was stunning as was the view of Harlech castle from the site.
The toilet etc have won many awards and surely could not be betted, What a joy to listen to Ella Fitzgerald whilst showering.
There is nothing I could find wrong at this site and we will be returning in the near future, The next time our visit will be longer

I drove in from the North and the roads are a little narrow in places for larger units. The site is well signposted and the entrance large with a lane for units checking in to stop in.
We arrived at 1pm which is the earliest check-in time to be met by a friendly lady who told us all about the facilities. She also directed us to the local attraction leaflets in the reception and the toilet block.
The site is a mixture of statics and then further in a dedicated touring area. The site is spotless and commands a great position between the castle and the beach. St Davids golf course is next to the site. The pitches are laid out in 6 roads. Most of the pitches are grass with 5 all weather pitches. All pitches are serviced with water and gray waste. They are quite large and even with it being Easter it was not full so plenty of space. We had a grass pitch and it was in great condition.
They do have WIFI which is free as it can be a bit hit and miss. They just request a donation for the local swimming pool.
As mentioned by previous reports the toilets are simply the best I have ever seen! Brand new, spotless at all times, well heated, plenty of space in the cubicles and music playing as well. Every other site needs to emulate this standard.
As well as walks to the beach and the castle there is plenty of things to do. Portmerrion is only 20 minutes drive and the lunch at the Castell was superb. If you take two courses you gain free entry into Portmerrion. We used the Lion pub in Harlech which is child and dog friendly - very nice people and a great meal for no money.
Will I go again? - I can't wait!
