This campsite is fantastic.
The site is well kept and it is lovely and clean. The shop is really good and serves hot food.
I took 30 teenagers for the Duke of Edinburgh Award, they loved the spacious site, which was quiet.
However, the best part of this campsite is the warden who is incredibly helpful.
We would definitely use it again and recommend it.

My family and I have been coming back to Pennymoor for over 50yrs. We first discovered this site when we were newly weds and have been coming ever since first camping with our children then with our grandchildren. We now hire a static caravan and I can assure you that the standards in this site are first class and rate a 5star.
The toilet blocks are immaculate as are the showers and laundry facilities the whole site is clean and tidy, with the children's play area always in use.
The static caravans are in exellent condition and always clean, tidy and well equipped.
I recommend this site as the best I have ever stayed in.

A perfect haven in South Devon something I feel should be kept as a secret its that lovely.
Located off A379 up a minor road is this lovely campsite hidden away in Devon yet its very handy to get around the area to expolre the many coves and beaches.
The site does gently slope but don't let this be a negative for it as its very gentle and its not hard to get a caravan level on here. If you want all singing all dancing site with endless noise then this is not for you. If you want a site where you feel safe your children are safe and everyone is welcoming to you then this is the place.
The hot water is plentyfll never had any issues with it and the showers were always hot and powerful none of this silly 2 seconds for a dribble of water here. A mop bucket if provided to clean your shower with afterwards which most people did use. The only problem is the electric hook up is a distance behind your van so you may want to ensure you have a long enough lead to reach it. A bulk head light is on each hook up point and around the toilet blocks and other then a few lights around the static area its a dark site so perfect to enjoy the stars of an evening. Pricing is spot on charging for a family unit with just a small charge if you have a larger family unit and small charge for awnning.

Pennymoor is a beautiful campsite lovely flowers, very clean, the toilet blocks are modern and kept very clean. We received a pleasant welcome from Roger who immediately took us to our pitch explained all we needed to know in just 2 minutes and left us to it with no fuss.
Lovely safe play area for children just outside a well stocked shop run by 2 lovely people. All in all a lovely place to stay and explore Devon. Thank you Roger and Helen you should be proud of your site.

What a brilliant place to stay. Lovely clean facilities, a nice playground for the youngsters, grassy pitches, all neat and tidy, no rubbish, pitches are rotated so still grassy.
Weather forecast, said rain everyday, we only had rain on one day, so ignore the weather forecast, it always seems to be wrong for this lovely place. Cant wait to go back again, thank you all for a lovely time.

Stayed one night at Pennymoor and it was lovely. Friendly but unobtrusive staff, clean facilities, peaceful environment. I am sure we will be back one day.
The bacon bap in the shop in the morning was a very welcome bonus.
It was quiet in early June but that is what we were looking for. Thanks to the other people who have left reviews, it has restored out faith in camp sites.

We came before the easter holidays, 3 uni students on a study break, chose the site as we thought it had free wifi and was close to the area we needed to be.
Absolutely brilliant site. Spotlessly clean facilities, lovely warm showers, play ground for kids and slightly tipsy adults alike! :)
Sloped site but easy to level up as it is sloped downwards.
WIFI access is not free and this needs to be made more clear on the website! But it isnt majorly unreasonable. (2 hours- £3, 4 days - £10). The site has brilliant phone 3g coverage (o2/Giffaff & Vodaphone networks) for tethering/mobile broadband dongle so we didn't need the wifi in the end.
Bloke was lovely, only had a 10m electric hookup cable, and the hook up point was about 25m away, so he sold us a reconditioned hook up lead for a tenner, well chuffed, thanks!
Site bloke is always around on his golf buggy, keeping things neat tidy, he really does take such pride in the site, and it certainly shows!
One last note, there is some brilliant directions on the website, follow them. DO NOT USE SAT NAV! It sent us down some hair raising lanes, with inches to spare on either side of our small ABI Monza caravan!
Price was very reasonable when we were there, I think in peak season its a bit pricey but obviously this is supply and demand so its understandable.
Highly recommend, we will definitely be back!
We never found a pub close by which was a bit of a downer, but Modbury is not far away and a bit of a longer drive we found Bantham beach, highly recommend a walk around there, its gorgeous!

Just got back from an amazing stay at Pennymoor. Everything was so clean and tidy, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The warden even helped us set up our caravan, and showed us how to operate everything as we were new to caravanning. The local beaches are beautiful and only about 6 miles away, while some of the lanes were narrow (avoid sat nav, it takes you down some very small lanes, the site provide good directions)they are big enough to take the big lorries that deliver the static caravans to the site. We had an amazing time, cant wait to go back, fantastic holiday had by us all. Thank you for your help.

Site very clean, quiet and owners very helpful and polite. Half the site is taken up by statics and caravans left there for the season. Plenty of room for tents and touring vans. The 10 days we had, there were only 3 tents and a tourer. Very quiet. Site is sloping. Facilities were very clean. Site entrance and routes into area are lets say narrow roads. Very narrow. Drive to sea is pretty much the same roads. Narrow and narrow. One beach wanted £5 to park. NO WAY ! So the area is somewhat difficult to drive. Especially when busy. Or with a big van! Oh yes. They offer fish and chips on site on a Sat night. I would give them a miss ! Would I go again. No don't think so. The roads and distance from beaches, put us off. Value for money was good.

What a wonderful site, on arrival we had a warm and friendly greeting from the warden and his wife. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff always said a cheery hello, toilets and showers were always spotless, a small shop on site, slightly expensive but lots of supermarkets nearby. But for us the best bit was the care taken by the warden to make sure everything was ok, every evening he would come round on a golf cart (sometimes with his lovely dog)just making sure everyone was happy. I would recommend this site to anyone. We are definitely going back. Thank you.
