A spotless site, level pitches with hardstanding and owners who were friendly, helpful and welcoming. We found Bury a lovely town with a good range of quality shops and places to eat and some beautiful countryside to tour. We visited Ickworth which was stunning, Sutton Hoo which was fascinating and lovely Lavenham. The highlight was seeing a Dartford warbler at Dunwich Heath.
The site was perfect apart from the noise from the nearby A14 which was intrusive even in weather that meant we spent the majority of the time in the caravan.

We are a regular at this site. Why? Because it is spotless.
This is a very friendly site with a nice feel. Nicely laid out with adults only and family areas.
Always very well maintained with a combination of hard standing and grass pitches.
The toilet block facilities are immaculate. Modern and always spotless. They clean them several times a day.
There are a couple of good pubs near enough for a wander. The bus to Bury stops at the campsite at specific times, check the timetable. Bury itself is a lovely town, with a great Sat market, high street shops and many independent shops. Lots of lovely places to eat and drink.
The have free Wifi and a good TV signal.
Perfect site.

Just returned from our first visit at The Dell. We have just bought our camper and was so pleased to have discovered this wonderful place. We received a warm welcome from both the owners. The site was extremely well kept. The facalities were amazing it was like staying in a hotel Dawn the owner was always there making sure it was spotless. They had thought of everything. The toilets and showers spotless washing up area clean/I cannot praise this place enough so well done all your hard work and passion for the place really does shine through. The pitches all well spaced out. The only critisism was the suggested walks were along a main road not at all safe especially as we had our dogs with us and road noise but that can't be helped. Great pubs near by we went to The Dog great food lovely staff and atmosphere. All in all a wonderful stay we will be back. Many thanks The Suffolk Fairydogmother.

Lovely campsite, with level pitches and an adults only field. Very impressed with the toilets and shower block very clean and fresh. There was a fridge and frezzer for campers to use. Only a mile to the pub in the village which served huge portions ( if you have a small appetite order half portions of chips)If walking back at night from the pub don't forget your torch. Well placed to get out and about in Suffolk. Leaflet with walks straight from the campsite was given to us by the owner on arrival. Would stay here again as its a great location, but do be aware that the noise from the A14 is loud until you learn to tune it out!

Spent 3 nights here recently and absolutely loved it. The site has spacious pitches overlooking rolling countryside. The shower and toilet facilities are spotless. There is a great dog walking area along the side of a field and the owners are very friendly. All this at a very reasonable price.
If it had a pub a couple of hundred yards away it would be an 11.

The site itself was full of excellent facilities and very clean and tidy, but we did not feel as if we were made welcome, only saw the owner to pay, the 10amp electric is a pain trips out easy and you cannot reset it, pitches are a bit close together and if you are in the adult only field there is a lot of noise from the A14 which is a main route for lorries etc from the midlands to Felixstowe docks and we could hear the traffic plainly at the weekend so a busy week day would not be pleasant

What a superb site! From the friendly welcome when we arrived and throughout our stay, I can't think of anything to criticise. We were offered a choice of pitches for a long weekend stay during which we held a lunchtime barbeque for family and friends. No problems and no restrictions. The facilities are spotlessly clean, with plenty of hot water. There are plentiful fresh water and electric hookup points. The site itself is beautifully landscaped with mature trees and well-kept grass. There are hard pitches too, although we were happy with a grass pitch. The whole site is level.
One end of the site is for campers with small children, the other for adults, so if the noise of kids playing is a bother, you can easily avoid them.
The Dell could hardly be easier to access, even with a large van, being literally a couple of hundred yards from the eastbound A14.
I'm giving it 10/10 in every category. Will we be back? 100% we will!

Total agreement with the other reviews! A wonderful caravan site, the owners, Dawn and Andrew, are friendly and extremely helpful, nothing is too much trouble. There is a security barrier at the entrance, an area for families, and an adult only area. The pitches are well positioned, the park overlooks fields where you can watch brown hares. The amenity block is first class, one of the best we have seen, and an excellent, well equipped, disabled toilet and shower room. There is also a laundry room and a dishwashing room. We made use of the free WiFi, and also found the TV reception very good.
Information is available regarding local walks, and the bus to Bury St Edmunds stops outside the site. Easy access to/from the A14.
We will definitely be visiting again.

I recently stayed at The Dell for 2 nights as a stopover on a long journey to visit relatives. I was travelling in a hired motorhome with my carer, a new experience as neither of us had used a motorhome before! The Dell was highly recommended by my parents who had stayed on the site with their caravan.
Booking was dealt with promptly by email and as requested we were allocated a pitch close to the amenities.
On arrival we were welcomed by the owners Dawn and Andrew who were very friendly and helpful. The site is secure with barrier entry and the grounds were nicely kept. Andrew escorted us to our hard standing pitch and kindly plugged in the electrics. The site was extremely flat and clean. The toilets and wash facilities (sinks, showers and bath) were first class and spotless, each wash basin was equipped with a lovely hand wash. I was given a key to access the separate disabled toilet and wet room, again spotlessly clean and well presented. The wet room included wash basin, shower with stool and safety grab rails, toilet also has grab rails. The washing up room included two large sinks, again very clean. Dawn cleans these facilities daily to the highest standard and you can smell the cleanliness as soon as you open the doors. I noted there was also a baby changing room which included a bath for children.
Wifi is available and it's free! We had no problems connecting our iPads and the network was fast, better than my home internet! A chat with Dawn revealed the Wifi had recently been updated, it was great.
As we only used the site as a stopover we unfortunately did not have time to explore the area. On arrival we were given a map of circular country walks of varying time lengths and we did note a bus stop opposite. I am sure, if asked, Andrew and Dawn would be more than happy to point you in the right direction and pass on their local knowledge.
I have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending a stay at The Dell.
Thank you Andrew and Dawn 😃

This site was wonderful. Dawn and Andrew were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We found this to be a perfect location with excellent, clean facilities and abundant wildlife. My friend and I enjoyed sighted red deer, hares and a variety of birds. We would very much love to re-visit. Thank you once again.
