Just had 5 great days at this site. The site was excellent the facilities were 1st class, very clean and warm. The owners Andrew and Dawn are two of the nicest people you could meet. There is a dog walk, I would say it is long enough for the dogs to do their business, this runs along the side of a field. I understand that at one time you were allowed to go right round the field but due to some unruly kids running through an destroying crops the farmer has restricted the use.
Bury St Edmunds is a 10 minute ride away with a lovely shopping area, Stowmarket is the other way about 20mins drive. The village of Thurston is 15 minute walk from the site, and has a Post Office come genral store. As we were there in the snow we didn`t get to walk around as much as we would like. We will be going back again later in the year and hopefully the sun will be shining. There is plenty of information in the reception also books that you can borrow if you like a good read.
On the day we were leaving it was that cold that the key to my wheel clamp snapped in the lock, Andrew went out of his way to get me an electric drill to drill the lock out, Dawn and Andrew were willing to let us leave the van there and return later in the week to sort it out, Luckily I managed to get it off ok.

A great little site with excellent facilities. Arrived and welcomed with a smile and shown a nice pitch. Bearing this was mid Nov we chose a hard standing but the grass everywhere was well drained.
The site is nice and split into a couple of sections. The facilities are top notch they really are. Every thing was spotless you can see they really take pride in the site.
The only down side is you are not too far from the main A14 and this can be noisy early in the morning and later into the night.
There seemed to be quite a lot of long term residents on the site leaving for work early in the mornings. May be because it is out of season and the site owners are getting in winter revenue. The give away was cars parked at vans without tow bars.
Over all a really nice site and will go back again. Ideal for Caravans, Motor Homes and Tents. Highly recommended.

We Stayed here for the weekend arriving on Friday evening. The site is spotless, well kept and the toilet block is probably the best we've ever seen, it was absolutely immaculate and lovely and warm. Andrew and Dawn made us extremely welcome and we were offered a choice of pitches either in or out of the adults only end. We chose adults only, which is nearer to the A14 and although we could hear the road it was not that bad and this is from a light sleeper. I have been to noisier sites than the road noise presented so don't see it as a problem. We would definitely return here either in the winter or spring.

We stayed at the Dell in September, found the site to be first class, pleasant owners and very clean toilet/shower blocks.
Bury st Edmunds lovely place plenty of things to do and see.
Only downside A14 traffic, but after a while you get used to it.
Pubs in nearby village very good all with reasonably price food.
Would recommend.

Stayed at the Dell for only 1 night but couldn't fault it. We phoned and got on a short notice, the owners welcomed us at the gate and gave us the option of a couple of pitches. Facilities were spotless. Yes you can hear the A14, but even for me, who likes absolute peace and quiet,it wasn't a problem really. Some pitches have picnic benches nearby which was a nice touch. About a 15 min walk either way outside of the site will bring you to a village and pubs. We didn't get the train into Bury but it looks like it would be easily possible. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again sometime.

The dell is a small but modern site, great facilities, hair dryer and sockets for GHD's available for 20p for around 10 mins. When we arrived the site had only around 10 units on it, mainly caravans and seemed spacious however on friday it became full and started to look a little cramped. Owners really nice and helpful, however one night we did get asked to keep the noise down by the lady, and we were playing very sober game of scrabble and was talking, which seemed a little odd, but did not ruin our time at the Dell. The A14 runs along the side of the site and seems loud at first but after a little while you forget about it. Dog walk is small, Tesco is the nearest shop which is in Bury about 10mins drive. Great site but due to location nr the A14 we would probably look for another site for our next visit.

After reading review's on this site we chose the Dell Touring site to be the first site for our first ever camping trip with our new tent. We could not have chosen better, Andrew and his wife made the whole experience a pleasure and we had a wonderful 4 days at the Dell. The site was easy to get to, toilet and washrooms very clean and tidy with heating and the site is well looked after. We will be returning to this site again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a small clean and tidy site.

We have just returned from spending one night at The Dell. Lovely facilities which were very clean with even a bathroom. Excellent recycling facilities also.
The site is fairly close to the road which does cause some background noise but is not too bad. However there was a large group camping for the night we were there and they were noisy until the early hours of the morning. We feel some guidance could have been given as to when 'quiet time' was expected and then a check could have been made to make sure later.
Owners very pleasant and helpful and we would return.

Just spent weekend at Dell. A wonderful site, excellent facitities, spotless. You have choice of available sites on arrival. Plenty of space and room for sun on each pitch. Owners very friendly and helpful. Good mix of tents, motorhomes and caravans this weekend. There is and adult only area. Few minute drive to local shops, pub etc. 4 miles from Bury St Edmunds on back roads. Very impressed and will visit again.

Just spent 3 wonderful nights at The Dell Touring Park. Andrew & Dawn keep the site very clean & tidy, can not fault the facilities block, always spotless and very well lit at night. Plenty of room between pitches, ground was a bit hard to peg, but that was due to the hot weather! Yes it is very near the A14 which you can hear, however the drone becomes part of the background that you forget about it - we were too interested in watching the wildlife and the bats at night! Will definitely go back, when we want another few days in that area as it was perfect for the surrounding area - only 20 mins from Ickworth House & West Stowe country park. Congratulations to Andrew & Dawn!
