If you want peace and quiet, this is the site to come to, the wardens Sue and Stuart are amazing and have restored my faith in human nature, with a few hiccups throughout our long stay, they were so helpful and went far beyond their job description, facilities are perfect, everything you need is there, so clean you could eat your dinner off the floor. Area is lovely, lots of walks, although the only downfall is the beach, it is more mud flaps rather than sand, but the views from the site are brilliant. With the main site about a 5 min walk over the field, you can use all the facilities including swimming pool, and they have a decent priced restaurant, all in all we had a most relaxing holiday, and could not have asked for more

Myself husband and two girls aged 3 and 15 have just come back from a wonderful stay at hollies farm
This campsite is by far one of the nicest sites we have been on it is kept beautiful and clean. It is a family campsite all round although weather wasn't good when we pitched up (intact very heavy rain) we are glad we did all the kids on the site got together and had a game of football and rounders (everybody was so friendly) while all the adults got the bbq going.
Silverdale campsite a ten minute walk through a lovely field with beautiful views along the way, silver dale has a kids park a soft play area and a swimming pool which you can use. Nice bar and restaurant a very good prices.
All the staff were very nice and could not be more helpful my hat goes of to the work they do at hollies farm
There are beautiful walks to look right over the bay a direct walk to far arnside
If you looking for a campsite that has everything then hollies farm if the place to go

Stayed here for two nights with my partner and our two year old.
This has to be one of my favourite sites ever. The pitches are organised with easy access to electric hook ups and space to park the car next to your tent. We were on a slight slant but not so much that it was a problem. We were right next to a water tap and electric hook up and close to the facilities block.
The toilets and showers here are fabulous. They are well heated, clean and spacious. The shower cubicles have space for getting changed with a sink. In the same block are washing up facilities in a dedicated room, also kept really clean. There is a chest freezer for everyone to use as well.
Our daughter loved going to see the farm animals while playing on the basic playground and was really amused with the free range chickens who came to say hello!
We walked to the beach which is good for a little paddle but not exactly your dream beach.
The facilities at the main Holgates site are fab, though we spent more time out and about at the various attractions in the area.
The owners are really friendly and show real care for the site and their visitors.

Spent a long weekend here and was warmly welcomed by the owner. He kindly showed us to our pitch and also offered to help set up the tent. The campsite is kept immaculate. Chickens was wandering around but they weren't a problem at all. In fact, they were quite amusing. Nice playground for the little one. Great views across the bay. We had a mix of weather over the weekend with nice sunshine one day and strong winds with rain the following day. We were on a pitch closest to the entrance to the site, which was quite exposed from the wind coming in from the west. If possible you should ask for a pitch a little further up the field as these are in a little bit of a dip and don't received the wind as much. The facilities on Silverdale ie pool, bar etc are all excellent and a nice little walk from Hollins Farm. We will certainly be returning very soon and we would highly recommend this site.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at Hollins for 4 nights in July 2013. I wanted to write a review on here to let others know how perfect it was. As we don't have children, we asked for a 'quiter' pitch if possible. Our request was accomodated and we were placed right at the top of the site, up the lane and away from any related noise.
It was idyllic - with shetland ponies opposite and a beautiful open field, plus a view of the ocean to the left and a view of the hills to the right. The facilities on site were always quiet and clean, even at peak times. The nearby swimming pool was lovely at Holgates and included in the cost, though for those without children the 'adults only' pool time is recommended as made for a much more relaxing swim.
We also had several lovely walks along the coast and further in land up to Arnside Tower and through into Silverdale. The weather was great which helps, but I'm sure that even with gloomier skies the place would still have been an absolute pleasure.
I felt that the cost was very reasonable, with no extra charge for an awning, and a water tap and EHU. Staff also very friendly and helpful.

Hollins farm is a small touring site which is really a satellite for the larger mainly static caravan site both owned by Holgates. I have camped on many different sites for over 40 years and if this isnt the best site I have been on it is certainly in the top 5. The only possible criticism I could think of is the tent field is quite undulating but this isnt much of a problem. The toilets and showers are brand new and kept absolutely spotless. The wardens are friendly and very helpful. The chickens wandering the site are quite entertaining and not a nuisance in any way. It is only a pleasant short (10mins) walk across the field to Silverdale caravan park where you can use the excellent swimming pool and leisure facilities free of charge. Also there is a very nice bar/restaurant where we had some nice meals. We also had a couple of nice meals in the Silverdale Hotel and a not very nice one in the Albion at Arnside. We enjoyed Carnforth (Brief Encounter) Railway Station and Museum and also a short train ride from Arnside to Grange over Sands, lunch at the Commodore pub, very nice. There's a nice little cove just down from the site but obey the warning signs about walking on the sand. Brilliant site, will definitely return.

We spent 2 nights here at the end of the half term holidays and it was lovely. The warden was friendly, as was the chicken who helped pitch the tent! The toilets were immaculate and warm. There are a couple of cubicles with shower, toilet and wash basin so myself and 2 daughters could shower together without our clothes being on the floor or it being cramped. Our pitch had EHU and a tap very close by and a beautiful view of Morecambe Bay. It was lovely to sit in the evening with a glass of wine watching the sun set. The site has a very small children's play area, again well kept, but small; just 3 swings and a tiny climbing frame. Because it's part of a chain of sites, there are facilities available a short walk away at Silverdale. These included a lovely pool, sauna, steam room and gym, a cafe where we had a coffee and a cake, the meals look quite nice too, and a shop which sells nice Rioja and other essentials. There is also a golf course there. We had a walk down to the 'beach' which is actually just mudflats and along the coastal path through the woods. Beware of the mudflats, whilst we were there, someone got stuck in quicksand and had to be rescued by the fire service and the police. Scary stuff. All in all, we loved the combination of quiet, farm based site but with the added bonus of pool and other facilities nearby. We'll be going back to Hollins Farm.

Just returned from a long weekend at this site - and booked for a return visit for a week in the summer.
Genuinely friendly and helpful greeting on arrival from wardens - wonderful. I arrived with my 3 year old ahead of my partner who had the tent - warden suggested waiting in warm TV room (though he then turned up!) Warden offered assistance to pitch tent when our kids were playing up.
Best toilet/shower facilities we've come across, though lacking hair driers (and just 1 hand drier despite plenty of everything else). Immaculately clean and layout of showers etc brilliant.
As also seems to be the case elsewhere and much to my annoyance, only one temperature for water (not great for sensitive skin for little children - though great hot showers for adults). Must find solution for my 3 year old who can't wash her hair when we're away though as wherever we go the water is too hot for her (same problem in pool showers at leisure centre).
Great pot wash area with freezer - stored food and ice packs. TV room and laundry looked good though didn't make use of it.
Children's play area a little restrictive and away from main area (though beautiful views and quality equipment).
Plots not very flat so do need to pitch with a bit of thought. I think all pitches have EHU and water.
Facilities on sister site up the road:
We always drove - could walk across the field (would not recommend walking on narrow road - not safe).
Leisure complex on sister site included in price - very good. Pool lovely and clean, with great family changing facilities (though again, no hair driers (?!) - did have a couple of head-height hand driers). Pool temp not bad (if I'm being picky I'd prefer it 1-2 degrees warmer for playing around with the kids but for a swim it's perfect and the kids were happy). Also had 2 lifeguards on duty so no unruly kids :)
Small soft play area in restaurant - though out of view from most tables which meant lots of getting up to check on children. Children not allowed in bar area so there is respite from children if you need it.
Food in restaurant reasonably priced and very good quality (with the exception of the disappointing burger). Arrived on first night a few minutes after they stopped serving. Explained we got stuck on a closed motorway though and they made us some sandwiches. Breakfast very nice!
Shop: friendly and not badly priced. Small but well stocked (inc swim-wear). Stocks quality items, not tat. Nice bacon etc. 5 year old very impressed with warm Toblerone filled pastries for breakfast!
Overall a great site and my negatives are niggles rather than complaints and I'm looking forward to returning.

Just got back from a weekend away at Hollins Farm. What a fantastic little site.
Everything from the field to the toilets was spotlessly clean and the staff where very friendly and pleasant.
Took my grandson, who is eleven, and teenage daughter.
The games room was a big hit as it was rather cold in the tent on the Friday night (hailstone!)The games room is lovely, a few board games and a table might be handy in there if like me you forget to take such things, but all in all the kids where happy to play pool while I watched television for an hour.
The toilets /games room/ laundry and pot wash are in a brand new block and are fantastic. Very clean and lovely hot water. Showers are roomy, so not struggling to keep clothes dry whilst showering. A couple of the shower cubicles have both a toilet and wash basin in, handy for when you have younger kids with you.
There is a small playground, and everything looked sturdy. It also looked very secure with a new fence all round it and a good quality gate with heavy duty latch on it.
Being able to use Holgates facilities was a huge bonus given the weather and there was no problem with access to Holgates on the two times we made use of the swimming pool/sauna/steam room.
We ate at Holgates and the food was reasonably priced and was a lot better than I expected. Would definitely eat there again.
Never got to check out shop on site, not even sure there was one, but think the reception area sells a few things, but the shop at Holgates is very well stocked, more like a mini market.
The location of this site is great, and has lovely views across the bay. Lots and Lots of walks very near and Silverdale itself is only a sort drive away. Silver dale does have a pub but we did not visit it this time so cannot comment. Wolfhouse gallary is also near which has a lovely café, although not a lot of choice suitable for kids.
The only negative thing I would say is that there is no hair drying facilities which I can understand in a way as every pitch has an EHU, but as we don't take EHU it would be useful for there to be somewhere to use a hairdryer and straighteners! as my hair does not like wet weather and has to be tamed
All in all, this site is a little gem and I would rather have given it a bad review as I don’t want it to be fully booked next time I want to go! But its truly one the nicest sites I have been to and am already booking again when the weather is warmer and we can explore the area more.

We stayed at this campsite over the jubilee weekend. We loved it as it was a really friendly and extremely clean campsite.
The facilities were excellent, even have a freezer to put your ice blocks in.
The warden really maintained the site well. My daughter loved the chickens that roamed about. The pitches had their own water and electric hook up.
The beach was only a short walk away. We also enjoyed using the facilities of the sister campsite across the field.
There was an excellent swimming pool, park and restaurant. We enjoyed a great vegetarian breakfast.
