We went to Hollins farm in May and June. We are new to camping. We love this site. It's so peaceful and family orientated. The views over the bay are marvelous. We will go back. There are toilets which have been nicely painted and thankfully nice toilet roll. There are now 2 showers which are a lovely change. Whilst on our last visit we were informed by other campers that the current owner was leaving!

Lovely clean and mown site, nice view over the bay, only 1 and 1/4 miles walk to arnside, so not far to the pub and an excellent chippy in arnside. Only a train ride to grange or lancaster if staying a few days. Great value @ £10 per night with toilet and showers which were clean. Friendly owner and I would stay again. Room for children to play football etc.

Excellent site. Toilets clean and site now has two showers. Superb area of natural beauty with great walks. Careful with tides as can rush in very quickly. Quicksand also further out, so advisable to stay near land. The site owner was very friendly and charge only £10 per night but if longer stay then a reduced tarriff applies. Will def stay again.

Accommodating site that is clean well maintained but very basic. That offers no short walk to the shops or pub.
But the local wild life you can spot on the well marked NT nature walks around this site is top class.
What spoils this place is the dreaded Bank Holidays! when the Tom, Dick, and Harry, brigade bring out there tents and pitch on top of you!
Disregarding advice from the site manager or even if ever possible to use there own common sense too leave a space in case of fire etc. That practice needs to be addressed.
But find yourself able to get here outside of those 'camp at all cost times'. Then you will enjoy that long lost tent/field /cheap, camping holiday.

Been going to Silverdale for over 30 years but never stayed at this site - what was I missing. Price excellent value, views superb, owner very helpful, other campers very pleasant, site extremely tidy, grass cut, recycling facilities. Yes, toilets are basic but very clean. No showers but not a problem for short stays. Would highly recommend.

I love Silverdale and Arnside as the views across the bay on a sunny day are just so stunning. We went to Gibraltar Farm nearby, but not fancying a country and western event, came here. It is very basic but was really peaceful for the whole weekend as there were few people there. Great walking, gorgeous views, friendly owner.

We have been to this site a few times and enjoyed it every time. No complaints apart from they are still using IZAL toilet roll and the spiders in the toilet are getting bigger. A Nice Quiet friendly site. Farmer is Great. Basic and Friendly. Cute miniature animals too. Will go again

Nice location but very basic site. No shower and had to wash dishes in sink where you wash your face later. All in all, you get what you pay for! Owner friendly enough but could do with more control on site late at night when the drinkers seem to come to life! Lovely village of silverdale near by with nice walks.

As previously stated, site consists of several 'fields', where tents seem to be kept to the higher ground - where there is a slight slope. The toilet block is clean and basic - though there is hot water, do bring your own loo roll, unless you like the hard slidey stuff! Not so sure where we were supposed to wash our dishes - a specific wash basin would hae been handy, as I felt awkward washing them in the hand sinks - there were signs asking you not to take hot water from the toilets, and I don't want to throw grey water with bits in it in the hedgerows. Great location - near Leighton Moss RSPB reserve for birdwatchers/nature lovers. Lovely stroll to the beach, and what looked like a beautiful walk over, or round to Arnside - maybe next time. We got up early (after a dreadful night with blaring music from newcomers - who I think must've been sent packing) and took the train to Liverpool one day. Drove to Blackpool another - so a very mixed holiday for us (one adult, one teenager), where we enjoyed the beautiful countryside, and a bit of townscapism too! Would return - but not for a few years.

Visited for our first time last week and would certainly go here again. The children were very impressed with the goats and ponies and had lots of room for games of cricket, which almost every child on the site joined in with (and a few adults as well). If you like comfort don't forget your andrex as they only provide izal type loo roll. Great for access to the estuary for a spot of sea fishing and there is a lovely bakery in arnside for delicious pies. Could do with a shower being installed, but able to manage with a sink for a wash otherwise.
