Just back from a week at Hollins Farm. We had 3 large tents and a Gazebo for 3 Families with 5 kids (ages 2 - 12)
Good points:
Very friendly staff and site facilities were very clean. Nice quiet site well away from the road with friendly chickens who came visiting us at breakfast time most mornings. Nice space for the kids to play and the younger kids in our party really enjoyed the animal feeding and holding interaction on the Thursday evening.
The site was mostly quiet after 11pm which was great and by 12am it was silent. Except for us adults giggling tut tut.
Use of the Main sites indoor pool, sauna, steam room and restaurant/bar included in the price was great as I think we spent 50% or more of our time over there.
All the guys enjoyed the 9 hole pitch and putt course too. Thanks you've now got my eldest son addicted to golf!
Bad points:
The pitches we were on were on quite a slope making it quite hard for one of our tents especially to get a level enough spot to sleep on. Not great!
No play park in what we considered the more family orientated campsite (being a farm etc.) in the holgates group - A separate play park for the kids would top this site off nicely.
Summary:
We'd love to return but would not want to be pitched on such a slope - maybe build a children's play park on the slope? and put some electric hook ups in what looked like a much flatter field where no hook ups were.

We stayed at hollins farm for 2 nights, Initially we were concerned with the fact that the toilets were converted Portable cabins. The worry was short lived, these are the cleanest poshest Portable cabin toilets and showers I have ever seen. The staff are exceptional, site is neat clean and tidy.
I would recommend making use of the facilities at the Holgate site (10 mins walk). The site is 10 mins walk from a beautiful beach and the site sells a leaflet showing different walks you can go on(it only cost 25p for the leaflet)
Cant fault the site or the area.
I would not hesitate in going back to this site again.

Just spent our first ever two nights camping at Hollins farm. Apart from the bad weather it was an enjoyable experience.
The site manager is a nice guy who gave us some good advice about how to put the tent up. He returned every 15 minutes to see how we were getting on. Good facilities that were clean. Nice area. Will return again when weather is better.

Just been for 2 nights here, 2 adults and 2 children. This was our first camping trip and we loved it!
Nicely situated next to the sea - the view was overlooking a bay.
We were shown to our pitch on the tent field and chose our own spot. We chose the far side as it was in the sun more, however I wish we had pitched opposite as it was a little more sheltered there. The field was very flat and as the tents were pitched around the edge of the field, it left tons of space for the children to play.
The toilet and shower facilities were spotless, and I never needed to queue. There is only one pot wash however, but I only needed to wait once for this.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly at all times. There are ponies, goats and chickens on the farm, and every day the children were allowed to feed them and also collect the eggs. They were allowed to keep one of these eggs and the warden wrote their names on. My daughter was very excited to eat her own hand picked egg for breakfast!
A little warning however regarding the goats. My daughter was among them and one managed to butt her in the face. No real harm done, and the warden was so bothered by it that he came to our tent later to check she was ok, and he let her go back on her own the next day to collect more eggs and let her sit on the pony - made a real fuss of her!
There isn't a great deal going on in the area so I don't think I would like to stay longer than a couple of days, but we will definitely be going back soon, and the goat incident has not put my daughter off! Would definitely recommend.

We've had a great weekend at Hollins Farm. Booked the day before we went - a little more than we wanted to pay but well worth it. This was our first time camping and it couldn't have been better.
We were shown to the tent field by the friendly warden which was a great space. We got to choose our own pitch on the right hand side as you drive in. Lovely view over the bay.
Straight away our 3 yr old went to play with 2 boys from the next door tent. Nice safe area in the middle of the field for him to play so we got the tent up without any mither!
The facilities at Holgate - 5 min drive or 10 min walk across the field were great. Good kids playground and excellent pool. Hollins Farm shower and toilet blocks were spotless and were cleaned regularly throughout the day and evening. We visited Arnside - 10 min drive away. Good fish and chip shop, The Albion pub served good food and was family friendly, A lovely bakery / cafe and more.
We ate breakfast on the day we left at the cafe at Holgate and this was also good. We will definitely return but would like to see a children's playground on site as there is plenty of space. Oh and the weather was fab! - dry / sunny but also a little windy on the tent field.

We have just visited this site and stayed for 2 nights. It's a really good campsite, I was really impressed. The shower blocks were great and cleaned regularly.
The field for tents is good as you pitch on the outside so there is a lot of room for children to play. Some are on a slope though. If I had to say anything bad it would be that there is only one sink for pot washing.
All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Definitely go again!

We normally go to Holgates but as they are having more caravans there Hollins Farm was offered instead. We where up for the weekend with our grandson to see if he liked camping.
When we arrived typical it was pouring rain, the people in charge were very welcoming, took Cam over to the field on the quad, and asked him did he want to feed the animals Sat night. They were very friendly and helpful.
The field were we pitched the tent was large and there was no overcrowding. Although some people did not adhere to the quiet after 10pm. We had beautiful views over Morecambe Bay and the surrounding countryside. Cam enjoyed feeding the animals on the Saturday and even the rain did not stop him from enjoying his weekend.
There were portable cabins for washing and showers, these were spotless the site was immaculate. We went over to Holgates to use their swimming pool and have a hot meal. Everyone was very friendly.
We have even booked for next year for a week to take Cam again as he loved camping. So looking forward to a peaceful week at Hollins Farm.

We went to this site for 3 nights and loved every bit of it. We took my sons are 15 years and 17 months and they both loved it. My little lad loved it running around the field and chasing the hens that walk around the farm. It was very quiet and not very far to the swimming pool. Only took us 10 minutes to walk though the fields to get to the poo. And that was very clean and the shower blocks was always clean and tidy. The only problem that we had was we was on a bit of a hill but we will be going again

Great site. This is now a firm favourite.
We stayed in a huge flat field which was great for ball games and cricket, everyone had plenty of room. The toilets/showers were very clean.
One drawback was that there was only one sink for pot washing and the water was frequently cold.
However, that didn't spoil anything, there are so many walks, all very well signposted from the site. We purchased a walking map at the small shop (25p) and will definitely be back to follow the other trails. Staff were very friendly and having the use of the facilities and the Holgate site added to a great camping trip.

Excellent site would definitely recommend. We wanted to go EHU but fully booked. However this turned out to be a godsend for us. The EHU field with tents/caravans to me was quite undulating. Caravan pitches very roomy as were the tents but not much room for kids to play. However the tent only field was absolutely huge. Tents pitched all around the outside, so gave the kids plenty of room for running around, games etc. On turning into the field left hand side against the hedge backs onto main road, but fairly quite. Gets the sun all day, right hand side shady with trees gets sun for most of the day.
Shower facilities were extremely clean and well kept for portable cabins. The staff work extremely hard to keep things ship shape. This was a busy week and the toilets and showers were always being cleaned, only minor point hand dryers for hairdryers, not great, hopefully this will be rectified once the portable cabin is removed. Also only 1 pot wash sink for the whole site, however for how busy the site was we only had to wait once the whole time we stayed. Grass was being cut daily and the whole site was kept very clean and tidy.
Lots of animals for the children to enjoy rabbits, hens, goats, ponies.
Short walk to the beach and nearby main site of Silverdale. We used the swimming pool there which was good. Word of warning the pool was quite cold when we went, which resulted in a quick swim with a 5 year old getting cold. They also have a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. This facility is included in the price.
We will be returning again.
