What an amazing campsite, we have been several times now this year and would recommend to all.
The staff are lovely, and would do anything to help. The toilets are immaculate and even when the site was full this week remained in pristine condition.
The site is in a fantastic location walking distance between Silverdale and Arnside and is perfect for dogs as you can start several walks straight out of the campsite.
As an extra bonus you also get use of the swimming pool and other facilities at Holgates.

This site is wonderful from the moment we arrived we loved it. We took 4 children with us from 15 months to 13 years and they all loved it! Kevin and his 'better half' were great always friendly and always there, must clean the toilets, showers and pot wash at least 4 times a day spotless! My daughter was allowed to be the chief egg collector she was made up, was allowed to keep an egg and have her name wrote on it lovely touch.
The pool at Silverdale just down the road was fantastic too there is also a small soft play area. Games room, and shop and a playground there too,no extra charge to use their facilities would definitely recommend this site and will be returning with friends. Would have preferred hook up but booked too late.

This is a great site with clean facilities and great views. If you want a quiet site but with the choice to take advantage of swimming pool, bar, games room etc on the neighbouring site of Holgates Silverdale, then this is the perfect location.
We were only at this site for one night so perhaps need longer to get a feel for it, but in our experience it caters ever so well for families and pet owners.
The toilet block and shower room was spotless, as were the grounds. Not a piece of litter anywhere. Regular thorough cleaning going on.
Our pitch was in a great spot, had EHU and a TV aerial.
Have booked to return during whit week. EHU pitches were not available but we enjoyed it so much have still booked for a regular pitch.

WOW! What a site.
When we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and was shown to our pitch (A3 with EHU). The pitches are spacious, level and very well kept. The toilets / showers / pot wash are without doubt the cleanest most immaculate I have ever seen on a campsite.
We used the swimming pool at the Holgates site next door which is all included in the price.
On the friday evening we walked into Silverdale which took us about 30 minutes and ate at the Italian which does good food.
Arnside is about 5 minutes drive up the road, Where there is a couple of pubs, a cafe, chippy and a few shops.
A great weekend on a great site, we will definitely return ;-)

This is a fantastic campsite, in fact the best we've been to.
My husband, our 3 yr old daughter and I all had a wonderful time and have nothing but praise for the site and the staff.
On arrival we were made to feel very welcome and were taken to our pitch by Kevin. We had electric hook up and our own water tap and tv connection (we didn't use this so don't know how good it is).
The ground was rather stony to get metal tent pegs into, but kevin explained that the site had been landscaped years ago which explains the problem. However we got our pegs in on an angle which was fine. On our next visit (and yes, we will be going back) we'll take pegs more suitable to the ground for ease.
The owners are currently in the process of seeking planning permission for a permanent toilet / shower block and have portacabins in the meantime. However these are new, have decking around them and are actually lovely! They were exceptionally clean at all times.
The campsite was perfect for our little girl. Lots of space to run around and make friends with other children. She loved the animals and the highlight of her weekend was going with Kevin to collect the eggs. She was given one with her name on for breakfast the next day.She could barely sleep with excitement! She loved the goats and their kids and all the chickens roaming around the campsite (truly free range!).
It is a lovely walk to the sister campsite which has indoor pool, sauna etc.
All in all this is an idyllic site. Very well maintained, very friendly staff and in beautiful surroundings. It isn't the cheapest of sites but worth every penny.

Had our first caravan holiday here and returned for our next just a couple of weeks later - only problem is it has spoiled us for going anywhere else. Just returned from another site which we were constantly comparing to this. The facilities on this site so clean and the customer service excellent. Location good for dog walks, beach and visiting local area - will definitely be returning next year.

Went with three other mums and 9 kids had a great couple of days, plenty of room for kids to play, clean bathrooms which are currently in portakabins but due to have new ones built - the wardens cleaned them every couple of hours so could not fault. We used the pool at Holgates which was great and not too busy - lovely sauna and steam room included and as part of the camping cost a nice addition. Could have done with another washing up sink on site as only one which meant a wait at peak times. Beautiful views across the bay, animals on the farm to entertain the kids and a lovely walk on public footpath from the site to arnside knott and down into silverdale passing some jaw dropping houses along the way. Would definitely go back :-)

We have just returned from a 3 night camping stay here and had a wonderful time. Family were staying at the main Holgates site which was a short walk either through 2 fields (of cows & pats!) or along the main winding road (20 minute walk) We stuck to the road mainly as we had a double pushchair for the children (2 & 3 years old).
The 'portakabin' toilets, showers & pot wash area were clean & tidy. Only had to wait once for the pot wash! Which ran out of hot water quickly! (My husbands only gripe!)
The swimming pool that you can use on the main site was really good. Unisex changing, 50p for lockers needed (returned). Small shallow area for the young ones, sauna, steam room and hot spa for the adults!
We pitched in the non service area which was just a field with a cold water tap but a short walk to the toilets. Just how you should camp! We overlooked the sea and the sun shone down, ideal.
Great site and already planning a return visit with more family!

This was the first time we have been to this area and it really is in a stunning location. We were pitched on the non electric field and we got to choose where we pitched ( around the edge only ). The field was large and we decided to pitch at the bottom of the field so we had sea views infront of us and it was a short walk to the toilets and pot washing.
The toilets were very clean and the pot washing area has a freezer in for your ice blocks. We used the pool at the nearby holgates which was a lovely pool and didn't seem to crowded when we were there. We also used the play areas at holgates which the children enjoyed.
The site had a really friendly feel to it and even though there is no play area the children enjoyed making up their own entertainment with their new friends.
Overall I would definitely return here for a great rural camping experience with fantastic clean amenities.

If you, like us, have been coming to Hollins farm for years, enjoying the relaxed informality and the basic, but entirely appropriate facilities and traditional feel, then think again about ever going back!
Now the site has been taken over by the large commercial outfit that has always surrounded the peace at Hollins farm. Gone are the ramshackle toilets with spiders and charm, replaced by stark sheds festooned with decking and bannisters. Hard standings now dominate the once green pastures, Water at each pitch and electric hook ups sprout like gravestones around the field. The charm is all but gone.
We recently enquired about using the Caravan Club certificated location - within the site - we normally pay about £8 - £12 for such a pitch. Imagine my surprise to be told it was £25 per night!?? This is no longer a site that gives value, no longer a site that makes you feel welcome. It has been ruined by greed, ruined by commercial grasping.
How can such prices be justified? apparently it includes use of the facilities in the 'butlins' style caravan park over the valley - who wants that?? if you do want that then surely that's where you stay.
We had been going to Hollins farm for 15 years for peace, relaxation and calm. We will never ever go again. Think hard before you support this trashing of a once lovely site.
On a positive note the staff were very helpful and the place was very tidy and very clean.
