Spotless campsite, facilities really clean, barrier controlled entry. Only 4 or 5 hard standing pitches that are not seasonal, all have hedges between them, can be tight to put an awning up on a couple of the pitches as rocks separate grass from gravel.
Plenty of grass pitches for tents and a couple of camping pods.
Can be really quiet if no seasonal campers on site if it’s not a weekend. Short walk to sister site with bar and pool.
Good butchers in Silverdale plus a Co-op store.
You can walk round to Arnside if tide is out along beach, otherwise follow shore/cliff path, loads of other walks available to do.
Access roads are a bit tight especially if you meet the bus or a truck, best to follow access instructions on website.

Hollin's Farm is a top campsite. When booking, we did our research to make sure our choice was a well-informed one - and we were well-pleased.
The site is excellently planned out with a natural, yet purposeful feel.
The site shower/toilet block is the best I have seen, with several suites rather than separate toilet and showers. Loved that.
The staff are friendly and welcoming - which is always nice.
We have a Nissan NV200 van with a drive-away awning, and thankfully the van was small enough for the surrounding thin roads, whereas some larger vehicles and those with trailers, would often experience several stops and more time to allow for passing. If you are patient enough, then this is not a big deal.
We do like to get out an about too, and due to the nature of small country roads, going a bit slower enhanced the ability to view the scenery which is beautiful, and don't expect to just nip to Carnforth, it takes about 20 mins.
In the overall price of the stay: The sister site 'Silverdale Campsite' (also a Holgate Holiday Park) is approx. 1 mile away. It has a bar that serves food, and has a shop for the essentials.
It has a swimming pool and fitness / sauna suite (of which you get a limited pass during your stay).
Unfortunately, we did not fancy the walk through a field (public path) at night to go to the Bar at night - and would have loved an actual on-site Bar at the farm site, or at least closer/nearby. We did not make use of the pool/fitness features, and as it is in the total cost, we lost out there (our bad, not theirs)
The Friday night live entertainment was provided by a hard working female acoustic guitarist, (guitar, mic stand and one tower speaker ) however, as an ex-pro act, I think many pubs and clubs have gone down this route, rather than solo acts, or duo's/trio's with more comprehensive set-ups and sounds. (It's each to their own, just my opinion)
To conclude: This campsite is excellent for those who need to get away from it all. It is superbly clean and child / pet friendly. The site has several extended wi-fi poles on site for wide coverage (if you do need to access the web)
This is our first visit to Hollins Farm Camp Site, and we would highly recommend for those reasons.
Safety wise - An electronic barrier into site requires a code.
The area - There are plenty of public paths in the area - and one on site, great views, quiet and child-friendly

We liked the location of this site and walked through the woods to Arnside. We also enjoyed the walk up the hill to the back of the site with its splendid views.
However, this was not the sort of site we enjoy. There are spaces for just three touring units among many units that have been left there set up for the owners to visit. It means that the site is full of touring caravans, but not people. While we were there it was very windy and windbreaks and temporary fences were blown over without anyone in residence to sort it out.
The toilet/shower facilities were good and always clean.

Excellent campsite, very friendly wardens kept the site in top condition, showers and toilets were immaculate and cleaned everyday.
Only a short walk to the enjoy all the facilities at Silverdale with swimming pools, restaurants, bar and shop.
All touring pitches were hardstanding with water, drainage and electrics.
Will definitely return.

Very clean site with well cut grass and hedges.
Washing, shower and toilet facilities exceptionally clean and of a high standard for a farm site.
Great to have a fully serviced pitch.
Fantastic walks straight from the site and beautiful views of the bay and surrounding woodland. Use of nearby leisure facilities at Silverdale site.
Great location for trip to the Lake District and other attractions. If you want the access to all the facilities but a quieter site, then this is ideal.
We would definitely love to come back and stay longer.

Really nice facilities. Everyone was lovely.
Nice to be able to walk to the silverdale campsite too. Had lovely food there for tea in the pub area.
The next day we went for a swim (good facilities) and played pitch and putt (this could maybe be done up a bit better as the ground wasn't amazing).
Overall it was a really nice stay.

We have stayed at Hollins Farm twice now and have thoroughly loved both stays and can't wait to get back there this year.
The staff are all friendly and helpful and facilities are 2nd to none, we used the sister site facilities for free with our passes which are absolutely perfect for kids with a pool, bowling alley, soft play area and play parks we were entertained the whole time.

I have yet to stay at a site with better shower & toilet facilities.
However the motorhome pitches are not very big. There is free use of the pool at the main site which is 30 - 25 mins walk taking the footpath across the fields.
There is also a cafe & shop on the main site.
There is a good walk over to Arnside & an excellent chippy.

The site was lovely and the toilet facilities one of the best, but there must have been a wasps nest somewhere as we, and others, were absolutely plagued with them. We killed over 100 on one single day. It was awful and the children were scared most of the time.
You couldn't even sit out with a cup of juice. If you did you were attacked. Just awful

It's a farm, expect sheep poo. Expect dogs barking and sheep bleating.
Staff very friendly and more than happy to assist.
Shop limited, you need to pay to use the dryer/plug sockets however, the showers were warm in the evening.
