Just returned home from a Three night stay. , which was booked for our wedding anniversary. Three Rivers is set in a beautiful area. The views are amazing a lovely 3 mile walk to Clitheore through Waddinton. The site has a club house but only open at weekends. There is an indoor heated pool which looks lovely ( didn't use as no swimwear was brought with us) the shower and toilet blocks are clean and tidy. Reception and staff were great.
But. It's such a shame as the only area that seems to be looked after is the tent field which was completely empty. The bins was full to overflowing and there was lot of them. The electric hook ups for the caravans are hard standing but it is crushed hardcore not gravel/stones which when windy is very very dusty and wet very dirty/ muddy. The grass areas around are not well kept. There seems to be a lot of German/ Netherlands caravans in the centre of the hookups pitches and it makes the site look like a travellers site, the grass is a foot high around their vans and surrounding areas( the guys seem to leave for work around 8am as they leave their cars revving for ages before they leave for work)
The noise level from some other vans where playing loud music and making a loud racket until 12-45 am, even though there are signs saying quiet after 10-30pm. We didn't know there was a warden in otherwise we would of complained.
I was very disappointed with this site BUT the staff ( especially the young girl on reception) was so polite and friendly and couldn't do enough to help you.
If you guys tidied up the areas and got rid of the crushed hardcore and put nice gravel down like other sites and maybe got rid of the the travellers looking areas we would definitely return.
This is first first complaint review I have ever written and feel bad, but sometimes if want people to return you need to read reviews. Sorry 😔

We arrived at Three Rivers with a little in trepidation after reading previous reviews and rightly so!
Arrived on a sunny Friday evening, checked in at the bar and told to pitch where there was a pitch free, Well we pitched where there was space hoping it was a pitch! Pitch slightly sloping but manageable for 2 nights. Close to electric hook up and water tap.
Site very busy and lively but as early evening not a problem. Big sign at entrance to camping and touring field to keep noise to a minimum after 10pm and that there was a warden on site. However at the site office there was a sign saying 'Ring warden's number only in emergencies'!
Music was still blaring from club house at 11pm which could be heard on the whole of the site, when this stopped there were several large groups of guests playing music, singing and talking and swearing very loudly at 3am!
Unfortunately this happened again on the Saturday night but 1 group carried on throughout the night, due to the amount of alcohol they had consumed speaking to them was not an option.
We have been to lots of different campsites and this is the first negative review we have wrote.

This is our second visit after having such a great time on our first earlier in the year, Lucky we missed the American weekend after seeing this advertised we decided to come the following weekend. 19th till 21st July Quieter we hoped. Oh how wrong
The camp site was total chaos too many tents crammed next to each other, safety hazard indeed, Large groups of people that were shouting Ogggy OggyY till the early hours of the morning, large group of women whos language would make a navy blush. A cider festival locally meant people were drunk and abusive swearing and threatening, We telephoned the warden who was very polite and most apologetic and explained he was off work sick, No surprise if he has to deal with people like this. The bar was closed, office closed. Its such a shame when on our previous visit everything was great. On a good note the cafe still has as previously described the lovely lady running it and the food was delicious, great value and service, Will we be returning Not on your Nelly

We've just stayed for 2 nights (Fri 19th & Sat 20th July) and I'm sorry to say that it was spoiled for us - and I'm sure plenty of other guests - by the extremely late and loud noise levels and total disregard for other campers from a number of groups.
Friday night was loud til midnight, which I expected given the great weather and first night excitement of everyone, but Saturday night music and noise went on til 3am.
There were a few large groups who played music well into the early hours, and highly offensive swearing given that the majority of campers had young children with them. I understand from a fellow annoyed camper that someone was fire-throwing surrounded by the noisy crowds at 1am!
Dogs were running loose in the middle of the night and an extremely drunken loud bloke threw up outside the tents near to us followed by his foul-mouthed friends screaming in laughter and taking photos of him!
When the site warden was contacted in the early hours, our neighbour was told he was off sick and there was no stand-in or anyone from the site who would take responsibility.
We appreciate that there was a cider festival up the road (great cider and sausages!) but some people have no control and its totally disrespectful behaviour for a 'family-friendly' site.
Rant over! Otherwise, it's a good clean site and the staff I spoke with were friendly and helpful (despite our complaint this morning!) The play areas are well maintained and all children played really well with each other (the weather certainly helped!)
Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a quiet break.
My ratings reflect the overall site and experience this weekend.

We are a couple just returned from this campsite. The weather was glorious
The plus side. Camp site had good facilities with clean showers & toilets. Swimming pool & club house. They held an American Themed weekend and the band in the evening was very entertaining.
Now the minus points.
There were too many caravans and tents crammed on to the field. We were asked to move our car even though the car and tent was within the marked pitch. I am sure that so many on one field is a health and safety hazard.
There were notices on the entrance to the site and within the shower block asking that noise to be kept to a minimum after 10pm.
On the 2 nights that we stayed, there was music blaring out until 2am, adults & children shouting, crying babies, car alarms going off and dogs barking. At no stage did any warden come onto the field to try and address these issues. It was absolutely manic and the worst 2 night I have ever experienced on a camp site.
We will not be returning to Three Rivers and would suggest that if you want a peaceful camping holiday that you go elsewhere.

Just returned from a 3 night break and we really didn't want to leave. Even though it was a bank holiday and it was busy it didn't feel like it. Was quiet. The shower block was great, plenty of room. In showers to dress which made a nice change. Bar area very quiet but we did have sun so I think most people stopped by tents/caravans. Staff very friendly, cafe very good value for money with a very nice lady running it. Swimming pool did have opening and closing times throughout the day but they kept it open all day so not to disappoint the children. Definitely going to return

We were a little apprehensive having read earlier reviews. We have spent the last 6 months preparing our first van which we bought cheap off eBay, and wanted somewhere close to home to take her (an us) on our Maiden voyage into the mysterious world of caravanning.
We needn't have worried, our arrival and check in we're straight forward and the girl on the reception desk was most pleasant, told us where the tourer area was and said we could set up anywhere. We picked a gravel hard standing with bags of room for our van and car alongside. It's lucky the site was quite empty on our arrival as it would have been quite tight reversing onto the pitch had the site been busy. Electric hook up alongside and fresh water 20 yards away. Pitch not level and took a rookie like me quite a while to ge t somewhere near level. (n eyed to invest in some good wedges).
Toilet and shower block 40 yards away and entry controlled by keyfob (£10 refundable deposit). Very clean and with loads of hot water, however shortage of loo roll throughout our weekend stay.
Didn't use club but did have a look into family bar and games room. A few machines, a football table and a couple of pool tables but no cues. All looked clean and would probably have a good atmosphere whe n busy. Could not hear any noise from club at night, but was woken by the great sound of the local birds.
Site shop shelves were a little empty but plenty of good shops and supermarkets a short drive away.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, our 8 year old son loved the play facilities although a little more green space where he could play football and frisbee would have been welcome.
The road leading up to the site is a good test of the tow cars clutch and brakes and will certainly shake stuff up in the caravan, but no fault of the site.
Thanks for a relaxing weekend.
We will return in the not too distant future.

We were on a grass pitch and although we have only just come out of winter, the grass was not muddy just a little soft in places.
There are water taps every few yards around the touring area, so no long walks to fill the aquaroll.
The toilets and showers are clean and modern, good hot powerful showers with electronic sensors rather than the push tap. A good couple of minutes per wave of the hand.
The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, it is a site to let your hair down and have fun rather than sit in silence.
For those with kids there are a couple of areas of play equipment and on sunday there was an easter egg hunt

Just got back from a long weekend at three rivers. I enjoyed myself there like we did last year. The shower rooms are clean and tidy and so are the toilets, can't say about the pool, never been in but my friend and her son did. The shop well stocked with toys and sweets. The cafe they have a new lady in there this year, her food is very good. There was 10 of us eating and it wasn't a problem for her, everything was nice and hot, didn't have too wait long, priced reasonable. Such a lovely lady. The bar area is nice, if the manager could smile he would get more people in. There was two young girls behind the bar, they were very chatty and nice. It does not cost anything to smile or talk to the punters. Overall about the park is they could do to do up their hard standing caravan pitches and level them out

We visited this site on 01/feb/13 and were a little disappointed, this use to be a great site for camping or caravanning but I feel that its gone down hill in the last couple of years. Firstly we were charged £36 for 2 nights only to find that the van next to us were charged £20 for the same stay. Also found the electric kept tripping off after checking with other caravanners we found that this was common for everyone on site. There were no lighting at all on the site. So all in all we felt a little cheated and very much doubt we will be back
