The caravans are really clean and the swimming pool is warm and relaxing and we we're all really pleased with the camp site as a whole. No problems except to go to the shop you had to ask someone to open it and when you go swimming as well overall 10 out of 10

Just spent a very, very wet three days on this site. First impressions a very beautiful peaceful site, shop supplying basic items but most essentials available, plenty of toilets, hot free showers, only three washing up sinks but I never had to queue. Water points and bins in many locations, family clubhouse, games room and adult bar, two good playparks and a pool which my children thought was good. A nice walk to the village of Waddington which has a few nice pubs, cafe, post office etc. Staff on site seemed ok but I didnt really have a lot of contact with them. Downside a awful lot of negative notices, shower heads need replacing as the water just sprays out ok if over 6ft tall. The all quiet at 10 oclock is very severe especially as the regular weekender children run around screaming at 1 am. Site does have rundown, neglected feel about it rather than a rustic feel. Prices a bit steep plus having to pay for the pool (should be free) still worth a visit though.

Excellent site, staff very warm and friendly! Thought the price was a little OTT in light of the additional session charges for the swimming pool (which was also very cold!) Facilities were very good with plenty of showers, wash basins etc. The toilet block was also very clean and well equipped. Shop was not overly well stocked but Tesco was just down the road in Clitheroe

Arrived for long weekend Friday to Monday site very clean and tidy impressed with toilet and shower facilities. Although shop on site not very well stocked, okay if you just eat chocolate and can drinks. I thought the site was very over priced for what was there especially when you had to pay extra to use the (small) swimming pool - for price we paid I think it should have been included. Had nice mini break, although I prob would not go back again. As you can get a lot more for a lot less in price

Just returned from a two night break here, this site has been recommended to us by several people and I can see why, it is lovely. Although the prices are a little on the expensive side, I think it is still good value for money. The trailer tents are given specific pitches which are very wide and fairly level. Fortunately, they are right next to the playground too which meant are little boy could play and we could watch him from the pitch. The site is peaceful even when busy, there is a very helpful warden. The facilities are excellent, loads of showers, very spacious and very clean. The site is well laid out too so that even at busy times it still seems a very quiet and peaceful site somehow. There is a clubhouse that has a disco on a saturday night, we gave this a miss but it looked good for families. There is a pool but at an extra cost. Also an on site shop that sells most essentials. The location is excellent, only 5 mins drive from Clitheroe and lovely villages with pubs en route. We will definitely visit again as its only an hours drive for us and perfect for a relaxing weekend.

This is the second time we have visited TR campsite. The site is well laid out with a couple of decent play areas for the kids. The tents are mainly in mid field with most vans in RH field, with a mix of grass and hard standing areas. Plenty of space per pitch, which are all well marked.
The shower block is clean and warm, but the shower heads are all built for six footers so kids don't get wet! There is a useful dog walking area at the back of the RH field. There is a pool and bar on site but we did not use them so cannot comment. There was some loud music, not sure if from other users or club but not too offensive. A bit pricey (£19 p/n inc awning and dog), but in nice surroundings and plenty to do within reasonable drive so we will therefore probably go again

Just had a weekend at this site and really enjoyed it. The site wasn't fully booked and the weather was fab so perhaps things always seem better under those conditions. The site was spacious and clean. The toilet block was warm, modern and very clean. the kids enjoyed the swimming pool and the disco is okay for younger kids. We went for a lovely walk and paddle in the nearby river and had lunch in the picturesque village of Waddington - well worth a visit. The site is a bit pricey but we'll definitely be going back again. My husband also found the 3.00pm departure time very convenient.

We went to Three Rivers for bonfire night. They had a bonfire but no organised firework display - people were just letting their own fireworks off around the fire - which seemed a little risky. Pie and peas supper provided for free though. Despite the pouring rain the site was quite busy, but not too crowded, and we had the swimming pool to ourselves in the afternoon. Nice family disco in the clubhouse on Saturday night.Lovely clean and warm toilet block.
The site is in a really nice area for walking or driving through the Ribble Valley. I would have liked to see a cash machine on site - the nearest one is at Tesco in Clitheroe - 3 miles away, and also considering the cost of a pitch it would be nice if the swimming pool was free. It opens and closes three times daily and you have to pay each time you use it. The games room was good and kept te kids entertained.
I used to camp on Three Rivers 20 years ago, in those the days the residents seemed to resent outsiders - it was a clique. It's changed a little since then and we will definitely return but probably in low season. All in all a nice site.

New to caravaning and this was the first campsite me and the family visited with our new Caravan. On arrival we had booked a grass pitch and was told to pick any pitch on a field just past the toilet blocks. The pitches were very slopey and quite boggy (would hate to go there when its rained for any length of time). Being new to caravanning I found it quite difficult to set the caravan up ( but this was probably just me and nothing to do with the site).
Once set up and fed we decided to check out the onsite bar (only opens at 7.30). Its quite nice and there is a seperate room for families which has a dance floor for the kids, However on our stay the dance floor was being used for a game of football with an empty can of Coke by 6 young lads, who it later transpired lived on site in the statics. This was quite annoying as my youngest is only 2 and could of been injured. They carried on playing football until challenged by the bar staff as to where their dads where they said they where stopping in tonight and they were in the bar on their own????? The eldest could only have been 13 at most, but they were allowed to remain in the bar.
Second night of our stay was a saturday, and it was advertised as a childrens disco, great for the kids who enjoyed themselves until all the drunken adults from next door came in and decided to put on the most annoying display of linedancing I have seen in many a year causing the kids to flee the dancefloor in fear of being trodden on.
From entering to leaving it felt like we were not welcome and invading the territory of the people who lived on site.
One good point the toilets and showers were extremeley clean, however the gents did smell strongly of sulphur no matter what time you went in.

August 2005 Just got back from a weekend here and have mixed feelings. We arrived at lunch time and managed to get a good pitch as some are on a slope and a slant! We were starving rushed to the club house (at lunchtime on a bank holiday weekend) to find a snack bar that was closed! Found hardstaning pitch good. Water pressure in showers at around 9.30 am was non existant and stood around for 5 mins full of suds before I got even a trickle (but nice and warm when they were on). Had friends on the extra camping field and it was a mud bath. They had no electric and paid little different to us with awning and hook up & we thought it was expensive. Spoke to reception about the issues (but didn't complain) & was told that the owner isn't really interested about solving the problems because the site is always fully booked at weekends! So I would avoid this site until he changes his views and posts a notice on this site because I have told them about all the negative comments on this notice board.
