We arrived at this site in the rain and in the dark to find that we were not allocated a pitch but had to find our own. This was not a good start as none of the pitch area is lit so the first part of our stay was not good. The site was a quagmire of mud, very badly drained.
The electrics were only 6 Amp so boiling a kettle proved impossible as the trip kept tripping out.
On the plus side the staff were friendly, the club was good and the toilets were clean with hot water ample for the superb showers.
It was in my opinion over-priced

We visited this campsite 2 years ago with a tent and had a great time so thought we,d go back again only now we have a caravan the weather was very wet and rainy every pitch was like a mud pit. Make sure you take your wellys here. A man came along and put our van on a pitch which was very nice of him with the sites land rover. The toilets were rather pongy and covered in mud (i think there due for a revamp personally) The electric was forever tripping out which was very annoying (think its only 10amp sockets) in the rain. We asked in shop if the club would be open to watch football on tv and told yes it was but when we got there it was closed (very annoying) If you do goto clitheroe camping make sure you go in the Black Horse pub near the cement works as the food is spot on and home made 10/10 for that pub. Tv reception is pretty rubbish too around there could get a picture even after we went and bought a brand new aerial

Staff friendly, ample toilets and showers. Shop had funny opening times?? Kids had lots of fun on both the playgrounds. Swimming pool small. Went to pub on Friday night kids loved it and had a good time.
Stayed on hard standing (gravel) which was level and spacious. No noise - had a good weekend all round would go back.
Narrow getting to site.

It looks as if the site owners have taken on board some of the criticisms. Having just returned from a weekend at Three Rivers we are pleased to report that the showers are now much improved from the previous trickle. And whilst the shower cubicles are ok they would be even better if the cleaning extended right into the corners.
The hardstanding aren't the prettiest but they are adequate: spacious with some privacy and good drainage (which might be important if you arrive in torrential rain, as we did).
Be aware that the bridge at West Bradford is closed for repairs for 6 weeks (i.E. Most of the school holidays) and the diversion signs are poor. We would recommend the route through Clitheroe and Waddington instead of Grindleton.
We didn't use any other facilities on this occasion but have previously enjoyed evenings in both the family room and the bar. If you want peace and quiet then this probably isn't the site for you as it can be quite noisy late into the night.
Clitheroe is a good place to shop for wine, sausages and sweets (unless you're on a diet!). The Black Horse in Pimlico Village is an excellent pub with a warm welcome and good food. We've been going to this site for years - it's not perfect but we like it and the area has something for everyone.

First impression when we arrived on the park, lovely floral entrance, the reception has been redecorated lovely hanging baskets on reception, and on clubhouse entrance. The toilet block is lovely and clean, the showers have plenty of water pressure, since all the cistern upgrade. The touring field grass is excellent, has been cut very short and the grass is collected, so tredding grass cuttings into the van is avoided. The electric never tripped while we were there. Excellent well stocked shop. The swimming pool, was very clean, but we can not comment on bar, or cafe as we did not use them.

Have visited this site 3 times now - very good facilities, clean shower block, well stocked shop and decent bar. There is a warden who ensures that it's not too noisy late at night. The site is well placed for visiting local villages, the Lower Buck pub in Waddington serves great food.
The site can get very busy, but is large enough to accommodate this without being overcrowded. The area for tents also has decent drainage and is not too cramped. Will be returning.

Spent 2 nights here, first off the positives,
1, Site set in a lovely setting close to some outstanding countryside, and charming villages.
2, Toilets and showers clean, though you have to leave a £10 deposit.
3, Food at the cafe is basic ( avoid the hot dogs ) but on the whole fairly good.
4, The pitch we had was on fairly level ground, though some pitches are on a slope.
5, The swimming pool is fine, if a little pricey on top off what we paid.
6, The family room was quiet on a Thursday, but was faily busy on the Friday. Our daughter enjoyed the disco, so a big thumbs up there!
Now the negatives.
1, The pricing seems very steep when you compare what those in caravans pay, and what campers have to pay. We paid £28 per night without electric, for a 5 berth pitch. Whilst a family of six across from us, only paid £19 per night with electric. Apart from this a lovely site spoilt by the pricing policy!

Booked to stay at this site over the Easter weekend. They insist on payment in full at the time of booking rather than the usual deposit. Don't know if this is the norm or just because it was the bank holiday.
This site has the basis of being really good but seriously needs some upgrading. First impressions as you drive in are fine but as you pass the club with its dirty stained curtains and enter the touring area it starts to go downhill. I have got to say that the hardstanding pitches are some of the worst I have seen on a site with a small patch of tatty uncut grass alongside and some of them also require a lot of levelling. None of the roads are tarmacked either. The whole area needs some serious groundwork as it all seems unkempt and in need a very big makeover.
Pitches are not allocated, you just pick your own. This was fine when we arrived on the Thursday, but by Good Friday, when people were coming on thick and fast, it all got a little bit chaotic with people driving round and round looking for pitches.
The toilets were clean when we arrived and stayed reasonably okay for the remainder of the weekend. The showers are the worst I have encountered. You will be lucky if you find one that works okay and if you do it won't be much more than a trickle! On the plus side though the cubicles were a good size and there were plenty of them.
The site was full to capacity being the bank holiday weekend but the shop still only opened for about an hour in the morning, which seemed strange given the amount of people about. If you want a newspaper you need to order one.
There is a snack bar on site. We spent a night in the club which has a family room and an adults bar. The family room had a disco going on which everyone seemed to be enjoying when I looked in. We had a good night in the adult bar which had karaoke.
We didn't use the swimming pool so can't comment on that but it looked fine.
On the whole we found this site very noisy. If you like dogs barking early in the morning and very late at night, people partying until the small hours and teenagers hanging out around the toilets in the early hours of the morning then this is the site for you.
On the plus side the area is lovely and there is lots to see.

Weather was wet when arrived, however staff were great as they moved me on to hard standing for the weekend.
Good facilities, did not go in clubhouse, but kids loved it in the pool. Also the two playing areas were well used by our children and our friends children.
All toilets and showers were clean and tidy
A little noise at pub kick out time but nothing too much and quickly died down as people settled down to sleep.
All in all will be going back with the kids. Nice quiet getaway for the weekend. Thanks

We booked this site at the last minute, to try out our new Kyham Michigan Tent before we went to Dorset in July.
Upon arriving at the site, it looked very clean and appealing. What we didn't like was that they said our tent was over a six man tent and that we would have to pay for 3 pitches! even though it actually took up only one. We were charged £40 per night, plus £2 electric hookup.
Once we had pitched our tent, we tried out the bar area and is was ok, the snack bar was very limited but it was good value for money.
Upon looking round the site the next day, you realise that everything is past it's best and could do with a good clean (the showers & toilets especially)
The shop was open for one hour per morning, but didn't seem to sell anything other than sweets anyway.
We went out for the day and this site is well placed for visiting the surrounding area. When we came back, the kids wanted to go swimming but the pool was open 3 times a day for 2 hours each session. We thought that we would kill time with a drink in the bar but they shut at 3.00 p.M. Till 7.00 p.M. (even on a Saturday!)
The kids eventually went swimming at the evening session and this cost £2.80 per adult and £1.80 per child on top of our £42 per night.
The pool area was again very grubby and it is not manned by any staff. They let you into the pool and you are then on your own. There was probably 15 people swimming and none of us could find the lights or any staff to help, so in the end we all got out as we couldn't see where we were swimming!
I don't want to call this site too much as it had the basics but I would say that it is overpriced for the level of service it offers and I feel that we were ripped off. If we had paid a price for a basic site then this would have been great.
We spoke to several campers and they were unhappy about the charges as the caravans were charged less!
