August 2005 Have just returned from two nights at this site. Agree with others that the best feature is the well maintained and clean shower block. The tent area was quite scruffy and there was a lot of noise at night. It was the most expensive site we have stayed on so far, and very poor value.

August 2005 Quite a good family site although a noisy one and very busy. Found it hard to find a pitch when we arrived as they are not allocated, then had to choose a sloping place very close to other tents. Toilets and showers very clean and nice although we couldn't get the swipe card to work half the time and had to get people to let us in the block. The pool is good and not busy in the mornings. Good place for older children as there is a games section of the bar with pool etc, and Saturday night kids disco which our seven year old loved. Also a quieter adults only section of bar where kids are barred. Didn't like the children's playpark much though as it was some distance from the tents and geared towards five years plus with no swings and slides, only balancing bars. So our two youngest ones couldn't really use the equipment. We enjoyed it here but there is some room for improvement.

July 2005 Just visited this site for a weekend with family and friends. There is no pitch allocation and on the warden's days off thing get a bit disorganised on the camping field.
Very noisy site, pitches are sloping, some boggy and generally scruffy. Shower block is large, clean with numerous cubicles but showers lacked pressure and were disappointing. Touring area generally not well tended.
Pool is good, but doesn't make up for the negatives.

March 2005 Just returned from Easter weekend with our son & family, the leaflet and the website looked beautiful. When we arrived at 7pm it was going dark and the campsite is poorly lit the roads & hardstanding pitches are very poorly maintained with black charcoal soil underneath a small scattering of stones. My son had 2 dogs and because it was like this they were constantly dirty which would not wash out of their paws. In our opinion the whole campsite needs tarmacing. The best thing on the site was the shower & toilet block which was very clean.

September 2004 We stayed on this site for 2 night's in a tent. Ground wasn't fantastic, quite boggy and did think was rather expensive. Toilet's were clean and did like the idea of the card to get in. Although wasn't told about this on arrival so only found out about it once we had pitched and it was dark and reception was shut!!! (Got a card from the bar in the end.)

June 2004 The shower block at this site was fine but we were generally unimpressed. The children's playground near our pitch was very close to the busy site road, the shop was not open when we were there and the site was generally noisy. We would not go there again!

August 2004 Shop was poorly stocked, staff were mostly miserable (except for the good looking girl on reception!), admission fee for pool despite high pitch charge and no lifeguard, no non-smoking areas, toilet block was very smelly, bar area was OK but no entertainment and it didn't open until 7.30pm. We were told it was more of a weekend site once we were there and pitched up....would have been useful to tell us that beforehand!! Charged high season prices but low season facilities.

August 2004 Just got back from here, we have spent the week in the tent with it raining the kids had a good time fishing on the little pond. We spent a lot of time swimming as well - nice pool. Clubhouse was good on saturday night with a disco for the kids but nothing else was on through the week. On the down side shop not well stocked and only open for about an hour in the morning.

July 2004 Quite a nice site, does not have specific pitches, hence first come first served, we got there around 4 on the Friday and most of the good spots were already taken!! Plenty of space for kids to play. Used the indoor pool (weather was very wet!) small but nice. Small shop. Be warned we were bitten to death by midges (thought this was only a problem in Scotland!) Some quite noisy campers as there seemed to be groups of families and friends together, but mostly subsided by midnight.

Although the showers etc were very good this site did not impress us at all. It was very busy yet the shop was not open when you would expect. The play area was near access roadways and we did not feel that the children were particulary safe on site. There was a lot of noise and we did not generally feel comfortable there.
