My husband and I visited this site over the bank holiday weekend, but only for 2 nights. This was booked unfortunately last minute. We were pitched in the Roundton area. The pitch was close to the road, which was busy during the day to the point you could not keep door open whilst listening to music ect. Lots of very early morning noise from crows. There is very little option of sitting out in the sun due to trees all around. A lot of dogs barking in this area also, mainly occupied by seasonal vans. Toilet / shower block good with wet room approach, with good showers (not push button). Visited Welshpool and Bishops Castle both worth a visit. Would probably have had a much more positive experience at this site if we had been pitched in either Kerry or Meadow areas, may try again in the future, but will not accept a pitch in Rounton again.

This is a very well organised and friendly adults only site. On arrival we were met by Nicky who showed us to our pitch. There is a small shop for basic provisions, and newspapers available at the weekend. Good information centre on site.

We had a three night stay and were allocated a large level pitch with lovely views across the valley. The facilities were only a minute's walk away - good sized shower rooms including toilet and basin, all very clean. At no time did we have to queue. And the underfloor heating was great! We have a dog and the site has a dog walking area where you can let them off the lead.

The site is divided up into different areas at different levels on a gentle slope but most of the pitches were pretty level.

The road running past the site can be quite noisy at times so if you want a quiet pitch I would suggest you ask for 'Area K' which is where we were or area M. Both have spectacular views.

The free wi fi was dreadfully slow but there is a note to that effect on the site, with an explanation.

Also, a polite note to other dog owners: Most of us clean up after our dogs but some of you don't - and you know who you are. Why should the few selfish/lazy owners spoil the enjoyment of the many? So please clean up after your dog or else site owners will withdraw their 'dog friendly' policy.

We had booked into the Roundton area as it was listed as being suitable for motorhomes. On accessing, there was hardly any room to manoeuvre our small 'van in and once pitched, the outlook was really gloomy, with seasonal caravans surrounding us and no view whatsoever. We also had electrical problems and initially thought they were our doing. However, it turned out that our pitch had a defective socket and we were fortunate that the neighbouring pitch was free to use that one.

We asked to move the next morning and happily found a lovely pitch on the Meadow site with nice views and an open aspect.

The wetroom shower blocks are excellent and we were glad to have piping hot water everywhere. Please note that there are modern domestic-type controls on the fittings, so you can select your own perfect temperature. I also reckon that as they are all unisex, then the males amongst us tend to keep them cleaner than normal!

The only downside to the site is that there are no pubs or shops within walking distance, though it didn't bother us as we cycled everywhere. Some folks on site told us they wouldn't return as there were no nearby walks apart from the dog-walk.

One other great thing was the home-made strawberry cake on offer as we arrived. £2 for an enormous slice and on a loaned china plate. Scrumptious.

Lovely quiet site- with a lovely view! The staff are friendly and welcoming.

The shower rooms are clean with plenty of room. The shop was well stocked. We particularly liked the pitch and putt hut which had lots of magazines, books, dvds and games and we had a couple of free games of pitch and putt! The local shop Tuffins is about a mile away and stocks everything you could possibly imagine.

This was our first visit to Daisy Bank and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We were located in Camlad which is partly in the shade but still had lovely views across the valley. We could not fault the toilet / shower facilities (except that the water was too hot in a couple of the showers) but the wet rooms are great, giving plenty of space to move around. The free loan of an aerial cable was gratefully received.

It is a great area to visit - for eating out we particularly recommend The Inn on the Green at Wentnor. We went for Sunday lunch - they weren't running their usual carvery but we enjoyed the choices from the Specials Board; it was beautifully cooked, well presented and a very reasonable price. They recommend booking for Sunday lunch and while we were there they were trying to book people in for future weeks and were already just about full so would definitely advise contacting in advance.

We will be going back again and recommend this well-maintained site.

Although this site is everything that is described in previous reviews we did not really enjoy our stay here. Yes it is in a lovely area and the facilities are excellent. The owners are lovely and helpful and the views from most of the site are second to none, but the site is also around 90% seasonal pitches with some of the vans sited for so long they had fences and gardens, outdoor furniture covered in tarp and huge, closed up awnings. Most of the vans were also unoccupied during the time we were there and I found the whole stay a little soulless and dead. Not what I would expect from a touring site at all. Not even an adults only site which you expect to be peaceful and quiet.

Visited the site after Christmas 2014 and over the New Year.

The location is great, we were sited in the lower field with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside.

Very peaceful and quiet great area for walking, really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to just chill out or use the site for a walking base.

Large entrance to site off a busy road.

One way system around the site.

TV reception is terrible.

Views if you are on the edge of the site.

The site is quite slopey all over.

Toilet/shower ok.

Grass not that well kept.

A lot of caravans obviously there permanently,

With all their fairy lights and plant pots etc. Tacky I think.

Big independent store not far away for all your provisions.

Overpriced I thought.

Smashing 'Adults Only' site. We were pitched on Meadow with gorgeous views across the valley. The toilet block and Wet Rooms are second to none and very disabled friendly. Laundry and dish washing facilities alongside are excellent.

The dog walk is brilliant and very well tended as is the whole site. Well behaved dogs can run off lead without disturbing the sheep in the next field.

Half a mile along the road is Tuffins with everything you could possibly need including fuel.

Nicky and Mark the owners are very friendly and knowledgeable about points of local interest. I have to give Ian the thumbs up too!

We journeyed to ZipWorld at Bethesda this year. Well worth the drive for scenery and the adrenalin rush of 'flying' for one mile over the quarry!

I have to mention Nicky's home baked cakes (sinful!) and homemade jams. Oh and I almost forgot her apple crumble! I will be going on a diet when I get home!

Wonderful site, highly recommended.

This has to be one of the most scenic sites we've visited. Excellent site and very well maintained pitches, with lots of space and randomly sited, not in regimental rows.

Good dog exercise area which most people seemed to keep clean and despite there being lots of dogs on site, it was still quiet and peaceful.

Staff can't do enough for you - always polite and helpful.

Our only disappointment was the condition of the older toilet/shower block which could do with a deep steam clean to remove ingrained dirt and mould. This block facility was obviously cleaned at least once a day but was a bit 'tired'. Water and grey waste on the pitch made life very easy and the TV hookup was absolutely necessary on this site. Would we visit again? Yes, definitely.
