A very nice site we stayed on 'Kerry' field with excellent views and vistas. It advertised as to having 'fully serviced, level and large hardstanding pitches' - well our pitch struggled to be fully serviced and defo wasn't level had to use chocks to level up - the post, water tap and drain was uphill above the pitch (which we also noted on other similar pitches) and positioned mid way down the back end of the pitch ours excluded electricity, which was on the next door pitch over 20 feet away and had no TV point (however literature did state they could supply an aerial if required! btw no freeview reception possible with omni-aerial on caravan so put up Satellite dish which worked fine in Kerry Field (other areas are quite sheltered by trees/shrubs))- so defo not fully serviced in our opinion but still nice - would revisit! Just select a pitch around the edge not in centre of Kerry.
Toilet block in Kerry Field ok - has 1x toilet and 2x wet-rooms (incl toilet, washbasin and shower) for both men and women and 2x wash up sinks - wet rooms got a bit neglected with regards cleaning/tidying - to many spiders for me! - and Chem disposal / bins a bit messy all it needed was a tidy around and a wash down with bleach.
Note : There are over half the pitches on the whole site used as seasonal touring pitches with decking and flower beds around them.
We write this merely to advise future campers - We would recommend it as a site to stay on but we felt these points need mentioning; the owners/ wardens are very friendly and offered free veg to the occupants whilst we were there - all we would say is it could do with a freshen and tidy up and spring clean both inside and out and being more honest about its pitch types when advertising defo not level - but worth a stay!

We visited this site in early September and by the end of the month our brand new Willow was sited there. Mark & Ian are the ideal persons to run a site. You never see them. But they are always around if you need them.
As far as the only 200 yards long dog walk. The Savoy in London's dog walk is ???? none existent and their site fee's are higher. We have always found the loo's very warm, clean enough (they are not kitchen area's)and the whole site feels homely. It is not a manicured lawns and flower beds site. And does not try to be.
But for us oldies it's very very quiet, average of three or four vehicles going past our pitch on Meadow per day. No grey waste to empty. No aquaroll's
To fill and lug around.
In our opinion it hits the spot.
Thanks 100% from us two

Just returned from a couple of days at this fantastic site. Can't fault Daisy Bank at all, from the friendly helpful welcome, to the spacious superpitch (no lugging water around!)with a wonderful view, to the best shower / wetrooms we have seen on the many campsites we've stayed on over the years.
Lots of places to explore within close driving distance, or if weather permits just sitting outside watching the many wild birds that visit the feeders around the site.
Thankyou for a lovely comfortable restful short break. We definitely hope to return.

We have just returned from a week at Daisy Bank. There are four separate areas - Roundton (lots of trees), Camlad, Meadow and Kerry. Mark (the owner) sited us in Meadow (Kerry and Meadow have the best views). A first for us were the two slabs on each pitch where you place your 'van wheels, thus ensuring you are level. The pitches are fully serviced and you are able to connect to the site's tv aerial if you have the required cable. In fact, we had excellent reception from our roof aerial. I would describe the site as friendly and rustic, in a charming way but everything works and the toilet blocks are the best we have used. The view across the valley is exceptional. Just a very short drive away is Harry Tuffins emporium. This is a major find as it sells everything and the Golden Fish takeaway supplies excellent Chinese, both within 5 minutes of Daisy Bank. The surrounding area is beautiful with more places to visit than we could fit into a week. Try to see Powis Castle and Ludlow is an absolute must. We recommend this site and will definitely be coming back.

Fantastic site, very well laid out and the amenities are superb, it's good to see a full wet room were you can go about your ablutions without moving from shower to toilet to wash basin for a shave. Decent dog walk (met many new friends along the way) fantastic views from our pitch. The local towns are good for shopping and meals and the supermarket down the road is like Aladdins cave
Will definitely visit again

We stayed here many times years ago but haven't been back for some time and now wish we had come back sooner. The location is amazing and the views from the 'Meadow' and 'Kerry' are lovely.
We were greeted by a very friendly warden who showed us to our pitch. Near to the dog walk, with the evening sun and with that view and still not too far to the loos (doesn't get much better than that for us)
All the pitches are serviced and hardstanding and all looked large.
Two loos blocks (only one when we last came!) right up to standard, clean and well appointed.
I was worried they had done something with the dog walk having read some previous review, but thankfully not the case. It is perfect for the necessary morning and evening stroll. We tend to go for our 'proper' walk during the day, as there are some lovely walks nearby.
All in all glad to be back, lovely site, friendly atmosphere. Will be returning sooner this time.

Have used this site for several years now and have always enjoyed our stay.
The owners and staff make you feel welcome and are extremely helpful at all times.
The site facilities we have found clean and well maintained no matter what time of year we are there.
The shop provides basics including very nice homemade cakes but for other shopping and dining out there are plenty of nearby places.
Fabulous area, fabulous site and fabulous people, recommend it to anyone.

A lovely peaceful site where owners and warden couldn't be more helpful and friendly, toilets and showers always clean lovely maintained grounds and caravans well spaced with great views. We had a fully serviced pitch and could plug into ariel facility. There are lots of surrounding places to visit market and car boot on a Sunday, village fetes and fairs and we even managed a day at barmouth, Ludlow, Bishops castle, Newtown and Welshpool all within a small run out lovely countryside.

On arrival we were made very welcomed by the lady warden. The site was tidy, but we found the hardstanding for the awning had a very coarse surface which was uncomfortable under foot. The most disappointment to myself and wife, was the 2 toilets block. They were of good size, but in the week we spent on site, we never saw them been cleaned properly, like we have seen at other sites. There was never a notice displaying outside the blocks stating, ie apology out of order for 1 hour due to cleaning. The flooring was never moped in the toilets nor the shower cubicles. There were times that the soap bottles were empty. We had to protect our feet by having to ware our flip-flops to shower. The other fatal fault for us was the crack right through a basin in one of the ladies toilet. I honestly cannot see how this site can be classified as 5 STAR rating, I doubt it if we will ever use this site again. The plus side was the fact that we were supplied with a tv cable for connection at site, thus enabled us to have v/g reception. The wifi was very poor at times, but there were efforts made to provide same.

The site is off a busy road with no paths, so leaving the site to walk anywhere isn't very realistic, but there is really nothing in the immediate area to walk to.
We stayed at the bottom of the site with glorious hill views. There was some traffic noise, but not too intrusive.
The site warden was efficient but somewhat abrupt.
The toilet and washing-up blocks were beautifully planted outside and clean and welcoming inside.
The site shop was very basic and only had milk and cake when we were there.
Apart from one other van we were the only people staying in the field - all the other pitches were occupied by empty touring caravans - which made us feel we were staying in a caravan storage facility.
The dog exercise area is very small - too small.
The site is very quiet but lacked atmosphere and didn't feel very welcoming - so we would not return
