We stayed here in June it is a very peaceful and well maintained site. The toilets and showers were excellent. There are separate toilets and also wet rooms with toilet and showers. The site was quiet when we visited so had no problems in a queue. There was a block for our field and also another block so I think that would not be an issue. Tv signal was very poor but we borrowed a pole and aerial which helped. Free wifi was good. Supermarket not to far away. Some lovely views. Some footpaths were not easy to follow due to farmers removing posts and gates. Some nice walks but bit busy for cycling. Pitches were good size. Good site and no kids.

The best thing about this site is its location. It is situated right on the Shropshire / Wales border amongst fantastic rolling countryside. There is plenty to do nearby-
- Lovely little towns and villages to visit (Shrewsbury, Bishop's Castle, Church Stretton, Much Wenlock, Ludlow etc)
- There are great walks (including along Offa's dyke)
- There are Iron age forts etc
- There are garden centres to visit
The site itself has a nice feel to it. It is quite well broken up into different sections, some overlooking the hills beyond, some providing pitches nestled amongst trees etc. It is located just off the A498 and there is some road noise, especially at the top of the site - there is considerably less lower down the site.
The reception is tiny and the so called shop sells very little in the way of produce. However about 1 mile down the road is Tuffins - a complete treasure trove.
The site has a reasonable dog walk - must be at least 200 metres long and well enclosed with gates at either end for access to different parts of the site. However there is nowhere else to walk your dog from this site. There are no paths that lead into the countryside and the main road isn't a great place to walk, so you are limited to the dog walk and walking your dog around the site.
The site was quieter than it first looked as at least half of the caravans on site were seasonal pitches and so had no-one at them.
Toilets were clean and the wet rooms are well done.
The overall feel of this site was that it was in need of some maintenance - it had a slightly unkempt feel to it (e. G. All the grass cuttings were piled high in the flower beds - probably very eco-friendly but doesn't look great).
The free Wi-Fi was also pretty much unusable from our location on the site.
We ate at-
1) The Ganges Indian in Bishops Castle. No alcohol licence so the food is exellent
2) The bar in the Castle Hotel in Bishops Castle. Good food and good service.
3) Golden Moments Indian in Ludlow. Food ok but very pricey for what it was.
Overall we had a good stay and would definitely return as the location of this site is excellent.

We have just returned from another relaxing break at Daisy Bank. It really is a lovely place to spend a holiday. We couldn't get out and about much due to mobility problems but it didn't matter at all because we had such wonderful views from our caravan windows.
As already mentioned in many of the other reviews, the facilities are superb with individual, heated wetrooms in two blocks. There are tidy areas for rubbish disposal but more important for me is the provision of recycling bins.
Pitches are really well spaced and thoughtfully laid out. Each has its own water tap and drainage point. We also had a TV point which was useful since our old style Status aerial isn't very efficient. Cables are available to borrow from reception.
However, what makes our stay so special each time we visit is the helpfulness and friendliness of the owners and the staff. I think the fact that so many of the people we meet at this site are on return visits speaks volumes.

We have just returned from our first visit to Daisy Bank - it certainly won't be our last!
It is probably the best site we have been on - the individual wet rooms comprising of sink in vanity unit; shower and wc all have under floor heating as indeed do the separate wc's- heaven ! You can even borrow a television aerial if required complete with pole and cable. The dog walk is not intrusive and is very well maintained by dog walkers and staff alike.
The staff are exceptional in every way - friendly ; informative and very helpful even to the point of taking you to your allotted pitch and assisting the less than proficient caravanner's to set up their caravan by putting jacks down and levelling etc that's what we call going the extra mile !
We were on Kerry and had plenty of space between us and other units with fantastic views across the valley - each pitch is hard standing fully serviced with electric ; water and grey water disposal. There are chemical disposal points and re-cycle bins within easy reach. The site is exceptionally well maintained - there is free Wi-Fi - free book and cd borrowing and free putting green all of which adds to the overall ambience of this location.
It is well situated for travelling to Shrewsbury; Ludlow and Clun amongst other delightful villages like Bishops Castle. You are within easy travelling of Tuffin's - a store a few minutes drive away where you can purchase virtually everything you require. There are also plenty of pubs and restaurant's to suit every pocket and preference. We went to watch the Red Kites being fed at Bwlch Nant yr Arian a forestry commission centre 9 miles east of Aberystwyth - it also has a café, mountain bike trails and several walks to suit all capabilities - well worth a visit.
Overall an excellent site - a place of peace and tranquillity which we would recommend anyone to visit - it's well worth it.

Stayed here for few days in May during bank holiday weekend.
Easy access from Shrewsbury along A488. Lovely friendly staff who on arrival showed us to our pitch and all the facilities. The staff were happy to help and always greeted you with a smile. Pitch was level, we were in Kerry field, some had slight slope but nothing of any concern. There was plenty of space between pitches too. Views across valley from our pitch was stunning.
Facilities were excellent, we thought we had died and gone to heaven when compared to some sites we have stayed at. Lots of room and full en suite wet rooms. No restriction on showers, or stupid push buttons, and plenty of hot water. Whilst we didn't use the other facilities, further from our pitch, they were also wet rooms and were kept exceptionally clean even though the site was full. They are a little older, but none the worse for that. We didn't use the dog walk, but it seemed more than adequate being fenced off from the site and farmers field and waste bins provided for owners to put the dog mess in.
Free Wifi was welcome as mobile reception can be hit and miss, but we were here to get away from all that. We did use the pitch and putt and thoroughly enjoyed our couple of 'games'. There are plenty of footpaths off the site, but being a rural area dogs would need to be on lead because of the livestock, with walks for all abilities.
It is a birdspotters paradise and whilst there we watched Red Kites, Buzzards, Peregrines, as well as Robins, Thrushs, Blue and Great Tits, Chaffinchs and Goldfinchs, Woodpeckers. We even had Pheasant's wondering through the site. This is probably helped by several vans having bird feeding stations. The sunsets are wonderful too.
There are plenty of villages and small towns dotted around the area, our favourite was Clun, with castles to visit, mostly free, and lots of cafes and pubs for refreshments. We cycled around the area and once off the main roads there are lots of lovely almost traffic free lanes to explore, with Montgomery and Bishops Castle within reach. For the more adventurous Shropshire has good mountain biking trails a few miles away.
Overall we cannot recommend this site highly enough, although we did want to keep it a secret for ourselves.
Being a Tranquil Parks site seems very apt as we had a most relaxing few days and were loathed to leave. We will definitely be back.

I stayed here for six nights in a very wet period in May 2013. The ground remained well drained and there were no problems with flooding or soft ground.
An adult only site close to rural South Shropshire it is just across the border in Wales. It’s about 23 miles from Shrewsbury, close to Church Stoke where a supermarket and post office can be found at Harry Tuffins, which is sadly going to be swallowed up by The Coop. You can buy almost anything there.
Bishops Castle, a centre for good pubs, music, with a great atmosphere, is nearby and there is a vast amount of accessible walking country down around Clun, the Long Mynd, the Kerry Ridgeway and Offa’s Dyke is nearby.
Access with a caravan is easy enough, but from Shrewsbury you might be better to go via Westbury and Chirbury rather via Hope Valley as the A488 road is quite twisty and a little narrow in places if you meet a tractor or a truck. The entrance to the site is easy to find and negotiate.
The site itself is adult only, and so fairly quiet, but not exactly tranquil when I stayed. Pitches at the lower end of the site (mine was Kerry 15) are right by the dog walk which is a little irritating when dog owners have to shout at their pet pooches to stop them attacking other pet pooches. Then they look in your windows as they walk by, impairing your privacy and have loud conversations. Dogs were allowed to run free by some site users on very long leads which were useless for control purposes and such dogs barked incessantly. Why must dog owners be so selfish? Perhaps it would be better to allow children and ban dogs and dog owners.
The facilities are OK, their design is nice with a large wet room, shower, basin and WC for each user. They are award winning but the last award I could see was in 2006, so the cracked basin and the partly defective WC flush detracted from the overall impression. Perhaps a little refurbishment wouldn’t come amiss to bring it back up to a really good standard. Water was hot, no restriction and good quality toiletries were provided.
The bin area had suffered a fire and was tatty and the chemical disposal area was not sign-posted but was satisfactory.
Staff were very helpful and pleasant, showing you to your pitch and the little shop was basic if rather expensive.
Road noise was quite intrusive at times even from the furthest away pitches, if you like your windows open. As I said, not as tranquil as claimed.
Wifi is free, if very slow, I tested it at 535Kb download; mobile phone reception is almost nil.
When I stayed, there were numerous pitches occupied by unoccupied, deserted, caravans. This gave a somewhat depressing ‘ghost town’, dead, abandoned feel to the place, which personally I didn’t like. I would rather a site was actually empty or full of people quietly enjoying themselves.
Overall Pros: Pleasant views, friendly staff, well maintained pitches and well spaced out.
Overall Cons: The dog walking area for some pitches is too close and intrusive, the road noise is sometimes intrusive too and some smartening up wouldn’t go amiss. The numerous unoccupied caravans on site were dead and depressing.

Daisy Bank is a lovely site, the facilities are some of the best we have come across, and exceptionally clean and spacious.
The dog walk was however very disappointing, just a narrow strip between campsite and a field. Walks direct from the site are limited. We had to drive out, but, on doing so visited the lovely Clun, very pretty village with nice individual shops and castle ruins. Montgomery nice town with castle ruins, and Bishops castle. The national trust site at Bishops castle had a lovely walk, with a shop café and toilets by the car park.
Having two dogs and enjoying walking this site was not the site for us, just because we like to pitch up and walk. However driving out and about does have it's benefits as we got to see more of this beautiful part of Shropshire whilst we were there.

Spent 4 nights at this very nice Adult Only site. We pitched our 'van on the 'Meadow' bit of the site and decided on 'Towbar in' to get the most of the great views! We were greeted by a very friendly warden, who walked us around the site to help us choose the pitch we preferred, and showed us where the facilities were located.
The site was very quiet, given the time of year, and no road noise. The individual 'Wetrooms' are just amazing! Those in the newer block have underfloor heating, toiletries are provided, together with a hairdrier, and wouldn't look out of place in a 5 star Hotel!
The free WiFi is a great bonus, and the signal was excellent even at the bottom of the Site.
Daisy Bank is a great base for exploring this lovely border area. We visited, Montgomery, which is a beautiful Market Town still retaining much of its character, Welshpool, Newtown, Presteigne, Bishops Castle and Church Stetton. We enjoyed a very nice meal at The Three Tuns in Bishops Castle, which serves excellent Beers brewed right next door and is a must if you're a Real ale fan.
Harry Tuffin's Supermarket just a couple of miles from the site is excellent for groceries with a huge range of products and a Butchers too. Spend £60 and you get 10p off every litre of Fuel. There's a limited range of essentials available in the site reception, and we didn't get to try the homemade Cakes, unfortunately.
We headed a little further South to visit Croft Castle (NT) which has some nice marked walks and the Castle itself is very interesting. You can combine this with a visit to Berrington Hall.
This is an excellent site, and it's easy to see why it has a 5 Star rating. We'd certainly return.

We spent 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year at this site.
We received a very warm welcome, including a mince pie, from the owners and were able to choose our pitch in Kerry field which has fantastic views. The pitches are all fully serviced which was great.
The individual shower rooms are excellent with plenty of hot water and under floor heating. TV signal is not great but with a digital aerial you can pick up the basics.
Despite the almost constant rain we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Daisy Bank. A lovely site with helpful and friendly owners and superb views.
Tuffins at Churchstoke is well worth a visit, the shop sells pretty much anything you will ever need and the cafe does a great value breakfast.

The site was easy to find and was only a few yards off the main road. We received a very warm welcome and were shown to our pitch in 'Kerry' field, which had lovely views across the valley.
The pitches weren't laid out in rows, which gave a less 'regimented' feel to the site. Our pitch was on a slight slope, but not enough to warrant levellers, and was made up of largish chippings and grass, with its own water tap. One little comment - we had to walk across the grass to get to the roadway to go to the amenities block; a small pathway of chippings would have helped avoid this, as the grass was rather wet and 'lush' - (perhaps the weather had prevented recent grass cutting?).
The amenities block was lovely, if a little unusual in that there was just one toilet/sink cubicle each for ladies and gents, and 4 unisex wetrooms, and at busy times if you have to queue for any of them you would be outside. The temperature and water pressure in the showers were excellent. The underfloor heating was great, and totally effective as even though it was October the rooms were lovely and warm. This would be extremely welcome in the depths of winter. They also had what I call 'proper' (free) hairdryers, which is good to see. There are just a couple of suggestions I would make: (1) to have more hooks in the wetrooms, as there was only one small double hook near the door, with nowhere near the sink/shower to hang towel/sponge bag/clothes; and for a grab rail in all showers, and (2) a small mirror in the ladies toilet. Also, usually a mop and bucket is provided to wipe out the shower, but here there seemed to be a 'squeegy' outside between 2 wetrooms, and I wasn't sure if they were to mop the floor with. If they were, then they weren't very effective. In summary, despite my minor points, the facilities were excellent.
The tv reception for us was non-existent. Our van is 6 years old and has a 'status' aerial, which was not up to the job, but we were able to borrow an aerial on a long post, although the connections on the 4 that were available were missing. When I mentioned this to a lady coming from the house (not sure who she was - owner/warden?) she found a connection for us, which my husband was able to fix (although she did kindly offer to look at it for us). We had to remove our jockey wheel to accommodate the post.
There is an enclosed section at the top of Kerry field for refuse, recycling and chemical waste.
This site is in the middle of countryside and you will need to drive to places of interest. The nearest shop is Tuffins, about 2 miles away, but it does sell a huge range of goods, and on Sundays it holds a boot sale/market. During our stay we visited Shrewsbury and Chester, both of which were lovely, if a bit distant, but worth the journey if you're looking for a day out shopping or sightseeing.
All in all Daisy Bank is a really nice, adults only site, and if you're looking for peace and tranquility, this is the place to go.
