If you are looking for adults only, peace and quiet and a good dog exercise area (important to get the peace and quiet bit!) this is one to consider. We had a very relaxing week here, didn't go far as we were just so chilled! We did go to Llangollen which was interesting and to the aquaduct / canal at Froncysyllte. There's a small heritage centre there about the canal and you can walk across the aquaduct, if you really want to. We also took the dogs around the reservoir at Llyn Efyrnwy. There is a couple of shops and a cafe there and an RSPB centre. Nice for lunch.
The site is beautiful and facilities are very clean and tidy as already mentioned. We couldn't fault them. The best bit for us was the quiet and the best bit for the dogs was watching the sheep in the valley field. Kept them amused!

Just spent another 5 nights here - lovely clean site toilets and showers excellent - very peaceful wonderful views from the meadow. Mark and Nicky owners very friendly and most helpful. Walks from Bishops Castle, Clun and Church Stretton fantastic. Cannot wait to return later in year.

Just to confirm that this site has kept its extremely high standards as reviewed previously. They have individual "bathrooms" i.e. Having toilet, shower and vanity unit, two with hairdryers. Also single toilets only. And what was really appreciated this year - all heated. The owners - who have only been there since December - have added internet access [at an extra charge]. The pitches all have their own electric, water, waste & TV plug in inclusive, as well as free use of the pitch & putt. We were disappointed that the weather prohibited us from having a go. And the site fees were extremely reasonable. The really friendly, hands on couple [sorry - I'll remember their names as soon as I've written this!] even operate an "honesty box", where you pay for and take change if necessary for any purchases, when they're away from shop. And anyone staying here must visit Harry's [supermarket]. Also accommodating a cafe, £1.shop [I got a full length padded coat for £1. Which I bought for gardening in] a Laundrette, Petrol Station - 10p a litre off if you spend £60 in supermarket. One warning if you arrive on a Monday and want to eat locally in the evening - no go! Everyone's closed. Highly recommended fantastic site and wonderful area to visit - despite this year's floods.

Just spent 5 nights here and it is the ideal site to just chill out. easy to find and get into but beware the entrance to the site itself is signposted only a very short distance from the entrance and we shot past and had to turn around in the supermarket about two miles further on. Hard standing serviced pitches with TV Ariel's if you need one. The owners couldn't have been more helpful. The site is spotless and the dog run ideal. The toilet facilities are the best we've been to and the wet rooms are a great idea. the weather want good while we were there but it didn't spoil our stay. be prepared to travel a bit for a pub or bigger shop, church stoke is about 2 miles away but you will get everything you need and more at Harry Tuffins supermarket and there is plenty to explore further afield. We would return and will be recommending the site to our friends

We arrived without a booking, but the owners were kindness itself, and gave us a lovely pitch with all facilities, including a TV aerial and pole if we needed one. The toilet facilities were the best we have ever seen, with great wet rooms for the whole family. There was also a pitch and putt with free golf clubs and balls! A visit to Tuffins supermarket highly recommended, also a car boot on Sundays in the car park. There is also an animal park there too, which the children will love. Take some feed for the ducks as they will follow you round!

What a wonderful site, my daughter booked us into the site and she said the lady sounder very nice on the phone, what a understatement, both hosts were very welcoming and if you wanted anything nothing was to much trouble. We stayed 4 nights and were sorry to be coming away, the toilet facilities, were the best we have used in our 30 years of caravaning they were spotlessly clean and ample space in them. We certainly will be going back hopefully with our daughter and son-in-law

Absolutely fantastic site. 10 out of 10 for everything. Owners friendly/helpful, site spotless and very pretty. Pitches very spacious. Individual bathrooms excellent idea and immaculate. We stayed for just over a week and rarely moved off the site as it was just so lovely and peaceful to be there. There is loads of extra TLC put into this site and we will definitely be returning. Fully recommend it.

A lovely site as everyone has stated, with excellent facilities. However our stay was marred by the incredibly busy and noisy road adjacent to the site. If you stay at the far end near the dog walk then it is more peaceful, but stay at the top end you will not escape the noise, which is 24/7. After three days we had to leave in order to regain our sanity. If you live in a town or near a main road then this will not be a problem to you. Other than that we cannot fault the cleanliness and the friendliness of the owners.

July 2005 This site is absolutely outstanding, run for adults only it is absolutely idylic. The owners live on site and it is manicured to perfection. A last minute weekend turned into exactly the relaxing break we were looking for. We will definitely be going back.

June 2005 This site takes caravanning to a new level......it is amazing in every way possible. The owners take immense care of the site and it shows! Every pitch is fully serviced, there are no children and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Plus the dog walk is excellent.
The site has fabulous views and the surrounding countryside is lovely. It is difficult to imagine anything but relaxing while at this site. Anyone visiting should also visit Harry Tuffins (turn left out of gate, on left hand side) which is the local supermarket - well worth a visit even if you don't want to buy anything!!!!!
Only minor drawback is that there is no pub within walking distance - but if driving the pubs in Bishop's Castle are well worth visiting - 6 Bells is very tradition pub that brews its own beer.
