Just returned from a lovely four night break at this fabulous site.
Wow wow WOW!
We were shown to our pitch by John, (Who we have nicknamed 'Happy')as he was happy, whatever time of day & whatever job he was doing.
Our pitch was in the newly opened Kerry section. We were so impressed with the size of the pitch & how the pitches were laid out. No two caravans overlook each other & there is loads of room between each pitch.
Each one has its own connection to electric, fresh water & drainage & you help yourself to tv aerials left for your use.
The toilet block is currently being erected on this field & in the meantime there is a port-a-loo cabin housing toilets & wash basins which would put the normal facilities on some sites to shame.
The main block in the next field is awesome! Each facility is a bath room which is heated & contains a wet room shower, wash basin, toilet & hairdryer. Loads of hot water & always spotlessly clean.
The dog run is excellent & the views of the surrounding countryside is second to none.
There is no bar or club on site & if you want peace & quiet & somewhere just to chill out, this is the place to be.
All this for the price for our stay of £17 per night. No extras!
To Mark & Nicky I say, 'this site is a credit to you & I will be back as fast as my little legs will carry me!'

This was our first stay both in Wales and at an adult only site and we were not disappointed. Mark the owner gave us a warm welcome and walked with us around the whole site showing us vacant pitches and if we had any preferences ie a view of the hills or facing the sun.
We decided to pitch in the newly opened part called Kerry. We had a fantastic view of the hills and were close to the dog walk. The pitch was fully serviced so no lugging water along behind you which was a real treat. The area we were in had a porta cabin for ladies and gents toilets which were clean but the shower block was a bit of a walk from where we were sited but once there you could not fault them, they were luxurious.
On site there is also a small pitch and put green that you were welcome to use at any time which was just behind the information hut that was also well stocked with leaflets, books to read and even DVD's to hire.
Just down the road from the site is a great shop called Harry Tuffins which sells everything and has a great cafe. On Sundays they have a big car boot were you can get some real bargains.
A bit further on is the remains of Montgomery castle which is worth a visit as the views are splendid. One of the towns that we liked to visit was Welshpool it was wonderful and also it had the Welshpool steam railway station there where you can ride the steam train to an adjacent station approx 55mins away.
We would definitely pay another visit to this site again.

Had a wonderful stay here. One of the best sites we've been on. Nicky and Mark were very friendly and helpful. Our pitch was wonderful with a view over the fields to the hills.
Very quiet and relaxing. The local pubs were a bit iffy but there is a fantastic supermarket a mile away. I shouldn't be writing this as we want it all for ourselves. If you like walking this is the site for you. Great enclosed dog walk on site too. Offas Dyke path is on the doorstep and when we went it was covered in bluebells. Bliss.
One small point is the chemical disposal point is in the middle of the site right next to the caravans. Not the best to see or hear as you're having your breakfast.

Well this was a lovely site, we can see why they have won loo of the year awards most years. Lovely, clean. Pleasant owners. It does say no tents, but they do take tents, but you have to book up early as they are limited. Very quiet site, and peaceful. A visit to Harry Tuffins down the road is an absolute MUST! We will definitely be using this site again.
Most pitches have waste water, clean water, electric hookup and they even give you a TV aerial to plug in for your stay, so you don't have to fill your Aqua Roll barrels or attach your wastemaster, it all comes straight out of the pumps at the pitch. Enough room for caravan, full awning and your car on each pitch. Well impressed with this site.
The views from the site are stunning up the valley. A visit to Montgomery which is only a small village but has an old fashioned Iron Mongers where you will be able to get anything you want plus more. Montgomery castle ruins are worth a walk, especially for the views, and a sit down to wile away the time. The Aquaduct at Llangollen is worth a visit and if you don't mind heights, you can walk across it too to the cafe for a cuppa the other side.
Cant fault this site at all.

We were very impressed with this site. The owner came out to greet us on arrival and showed us around the site in order that we could select our pitch. The site was very well maintained and the owners were constantly out and about doing maintenance. The shower and toilet facilities were the best we have ever seen, with individual shower-room facilities which were fully heated and always clean. We found the site particularly good as we had a dog and there was a dedicated dog walk. This was a long fully-fenced in run along the length of the campsite and we could let our dog off the lead for a proper run and play. The area had poo bins and so was also very clean. The pitches themselves were hardstanding and most were fully serviced, the owner even gave us a cable to connect to their built-in TV aerials. Another great facility was the wi-fi, which was really handy for us in finding local walks and facilities. The owners were extremely helpful and gave us their mobile numbers in case we needed anything. They were only too willing to help, and even lent us their local walking map for the few days we were there. The only negative thing about the site for us was the road noise. Although on a B-road, the stretch of road along the campsite was straight and cars were travelling around 60-70 miles per hour at all times of day or night. We did get used to it after the first day / night, so it wasn't as bad as it seemed upon our arrival.

Upon arrival at the site we were met by the owner and provided with a nice easy pitch for us to get onto, and were very pleased to find out that all of the pitches were fully serviced, which included an ariel hook-up and free loan of the cable required.
The site itself is very well maintained with nice large hardstanding pitches, most of which have some views of the beautiful surroundings. The on-site facilities were excellent with individual showers that included WC's and basins and were always kept warm and clean.
The dog walking area was one of the best we have seen, being completely fenced off and including seating at one end to enjoy the local views from.
Towards the end of our holiday we enjoyed using the free pitch & putt course, which was next to the information hut, where books and DVD's could be borrowed for free.
Mark & Nicky Bell, the owners, were very friendly and had good local knowledge and always willing to help or answer any questions.
Close by is Harry Tuffins supermarket in Churchstoke and there is also a chinese takeaway there that did really nice chips!
The site is very close to lots of great walking in the surrounding hills.
One of the best sites we've used so far. Highly recommended.

This lovely little site is, without question, one of the nicest you will find anywhere in the UK. We have stayed there twice now and intend returning as often as we can. Quiet, peaceful, tidy with exceptionally clean toilets it is everything you would want from an adults only site. This visit we took along Brother in law and wife with their recently acquired unit and they were as equally impressed. We this time used it as a base for a trip up Snowdon (well I didn't as I have more sense)and the location of the site is ideal for all of the attractions of N Wales, Shropshire and surrounding areas.
The only criticism I would have is that it is difficult to spot the entrance to the site when approaching at night as the signs are not lit up and it is easily missed.
But what a great site - we love it!

Say no more - this is 'one' of the best we have stayed on, nothing too much trouble for staff. Toilets, EXCELLENT, there are wet rooms, which have heating, toilet, sink, shower, chair, paper towel, hair dryer, hand lotion, hand cleanser and flowers
Dog walk is enclosed, and overlooks a very pleasant outlook, one excellent point, there are a lot of seasonal caravans, BUT they have'nt got the best pitches. All the better pitches seem to be vacant for tourers, how good is that and such a welcome change. Although next to a main road, don't notice too much noise. So well done to Daisy Bank, and thank you for a lovely break adult only site, the only down point as my grandchildren would love it.

Should not be reviewing this site in case it gets too popular! This was our first foray out in our new van having been canvas campers for over 25 years and have to say that the campsite was excellent. The Owners could not be more friendly (but not 'in your face' so to speak) and facilities were immaculate at all times of the day. Pitching of vans were also good due to the positioning so nobody was looking in to each others vans.Good dog run which was well respected.
Just like to mention a local supermarket / general stores close by in Churchstoke (Harry Tuffins ) if you cannot find what you need you weren`t looking properly, they had everything bar the kitchen sink !
Summing up , a site we will be returning to very soon .

We stayed here for a week and did not want to leave, a really peaceful and relaxing site, very helpful and friendly owners Mark and Nicky even rescued our sun canopy when the wind damaged a pole! Toilet and shower facilities are excellent and consist of full wet rooms with toilet, shower, basin and mirrors, hand washing foam and hand cream also provided. The chemical waste point is hidden away nicely and also provides an antibacterial hand rinse for your use which is a great idea. The dog walk area although not huge is ample for using to exercise all dogs and is well maintained and clean, lots of doggy bins and shovels provided so no excuse for not clearing up after your dog. There are good recycling facilities on site also nicely hidden away. The pitch and putt course is great for some fun and is free of charge, the information hut has a collection of DVD's that you can borrow and if needed you can hire a DVD player as well for a small charge,Wifi is also available and has a good reception. Local supermarket is Tuffin's which is great for all your needs, it has a pound shop, garden center, cafe, hairdressers and petrol station attached to it.The local area is very scenic and ideal for visiting Shrewsbury, Welshpool, Ludlow and Newtown. We did not visit any pubs in the area so could not comment on them but there is lots of info on them in the information hut on site. All in all a great site that we cant wait to revisit.
