Just returned from a magnificent 12 night stay at Treloy. We were met on arrival by the owner and given a choice of pitches, we chose a pitch near to the toilet block, a good sized pitch and with a good sized hedge for privacy.

The toilets and showers were immaculate at all times and we never had to wait even though the site was busy.

We ate in the on site cafe and thought the food was of good quality, maybe they could invest in a coffe machine as instant wasn't to our liking.

Our grandson really enjoyed the play park and the swimming pool, the new shop is conveniently positioned next to the pool, so getting a feshly made coffee or an ice cream was easy to get whilst watching him in the pool.

He was gone from the caravan from early in the morning and had to be found at meal times, we hardly left the site.

The entertainment in the bar was good and had something for everyone during our stay, I particularly liked the Belfast Busker and the illusionist, whilst the grandson enjoyed the Punch and Judy show, all free. The bar prices we found were similar to pub prices and not overpriced.

All in all another great holiday at Trelow, we will be back again.

Just returned after our 10 night stay and didn't want to leave.

When driving up to the park I was a little nervous when seeing how close it is to newquay airport and raf mawgan as I choose the site for friends and my family. However I can honestly say it was not an issue at all. I read a review on another site about gun shots upsetting their dogs etc but I we didn't hear any throughout our stay. In fact we loved the fact we were only a few minutes drive away from mawgan porth beach which is our favourite!

We arrived at 8:30 after driving all night from Norfolk and were greeted, paid the remainder of our holiday as only deposit was taken on booking and shown to our bit of the park (partridge)and offered a few options, we chose to be right away from everything as the pitches were larger and we were set up by 10 and in the pool by 11. Kids were very happy as were we. Pool was lovely not too cold but refreshing as it was really hot during our stay.

We paid for the internet but didn't use it for much and to be honest the signal wasn't great so would say don't bother if you can live without. , but not a big deal for us. The toilets and showers were all nice and clean, showers hot (a little too hot for my 4 yr old really) baby bath (big sink) for my 9 month old with baby change and sterile wipes provided which I thought was a nice touch. We used the washing machines (£5) and dryer (£1 for 10 mins) both great. We bought gas whilst we were there, no more pricey than home. Shop was nice maybe a little small but fine for what we needed (shopped at morrisons and aldi would say aldi is easier to get to as traffic is always bad near morrisons). Selling local produce and if you get there around 8 they have freshly baked croissants and pain au chocolate yummy! Kids enjoyed the playgrounds and playing fields.

We stayed at hendra last yr but were put off due to the noisy road into Newquay and the price (loved the pool but don't use the other facilities like clubhouse and entertainment etc) so chose this cheaper family run option and very glad we did. Would definitely recommend and stay again if returning to newquay.

What a friendly place to go. Richard, who I suspect is the owner couldn't have been better. Took our payment and guided us to the site, a good sized pitch with concrete base and with all services in the right place. We chose this site because it has a shop, restaurant/café and a take away advertised. Unfortunately none of these was operating during our stay. Whilst this was disappointing it did not ruin our visit. What did was the poor TV reception for the England match in Brazil. A great site, well looked after by the staff who, without exception, were friendly and efficient. Well done to you all. We will come again when the site is in full swing to test all the facilities.

We booked a week for a caravan pitch with electric hook up for a party of 3 adults, 1 child and an infant for 7 nights commencing 25thAugust, we were quoted a price of £167. 00 which I found to be very reasonable and duly paid over the phone using card, although there is a £1. 00 fee for paying in this manner which I thought was reasonable.

Finding the site is really easy and is very well sign posted from the main A road, on arrival checking in was seamless and we were guided to our pitch by Richard on his quad bike which we found really helpful, no blind trawling round a new campsite looking for your pitch number! Richard even offered his help to get the caravan on the pitch which we declined but it was a nice touch.

The pitch itself was on “Squirrels” and was all grass and slightly sloping, it was easy to maneuverer the caravan onto and there was plenty of room to set up the awning and park the car alongside, electric hook up was within 10m and kicked out 16 Amps so no problem with power, all water and waste was close by and we were set up nicely with our first cuppa within an hour awning included!

The site itself is very well maintained and there are site staff constantly tending to their daily duties and everything is spick and span, there are plenty of facilities to keep most entertained, whether it be a nice quite night by the van chatting with new neighbours or having a sing song (If that’s your bag) at the karaoke in the club house! There were a few bands etc. Whilst we were there which were ok, nothing to knock your socks off just adequate. There were children’s entertainers too, I took my 5 year old Grand Daughter to see her very 1st Punch & Judy Show, she absolutely loved it, there was a little magic show to begin with by the same entertainer (Bit of a filler really) with some simple little tricks but the kids loved it, the Punch & Judy Show itself is a far cry from the ones I remember as a child and has gone VERY PC, then again I don’t suppose advocating beating your wife with a stick leaves a very good impression! However, what was put on show really worked with the kids and it went down a storm.

Sticking with the children theme the Play Parks were well used and our 5 year old and indeed our 20 month old had a lovely time and always wanted to be there! Splitting the park by age ranges really worked with the little one content to play in the sand were as the elder loved whizzing down the slide. We found all the facilities from the Club House to Swimming Pool and even the on site Café to be very functional, clean, tidy and all the staff to be really friendly and helpful, never too busy for a bit of natter even if they were indeed busy.

The Toilets and Showers we found to be very clean, water to be warm and we never waited once to use them, although, admittedly we didn’t use them at peak morning time so can’t comment about that time.

The Park Wi-Fi system worked ok, a bit slow but adequate, it cost £12. 00 for the week which I thought was ok, another nice touch is the Reception insist you go to your pitch to make sure you have a signal you are happy with before purchasing, which is opposed to how I have had it sold to me on previously where you can only use it in a “Hot Spot” or it has rubbish coverage and its like it or lump it. Well done Treloy!

The Park is situated quite close to Newquay Airport and indeed St Mawgan RAF Base but it really never bothered us, Newquay Airport certainly ain’t Heathrow! We did see a bit of Helicopter action from the RAF Base but if anything I found it quite interesting! Nothing that is going to spoil your time, in regards to location it is central to LOADS of beaches and the town of Newquay itself whether by car or public transport there’s lots going on and we had many very enjoyable day out.

In summary we found the Park to be Lovely with lots of nice touches even the Chemical Disposal had a sanitary spray to cleanse your hands once you had finished which I have never come across before! I will wholeheartedly recommend this park for families with children, it’s not massive, so if you are used to a “Haven” type experience then this may not be your thing, however, if you appreciate fantastic customer service, a superb location, close to all that is great in Cornwall and fantastic value for money get yourself to Treloy, you will not regret it!

Best caravan site I've visited in all my time camping. I've 3 daughters aged 6 {twins} and 10 and they loved the play areas and the little swimming pool. The club house had some fantastic bands on as well as a couple of kids shows {Punch & Judy} Excellent café. Showers well my wife is like most women {high standards or stuck up} and I've know her join a gym/spa to use the showers on some site while we were on holiday BUT HERE SHE WAS VERY IMPRESSED! All the staff was pleasant and more than happy to help. Every time I'm visiting Cornwall I'll be staying HERE!

Booked for myself and my husband at the last minute (waiting for the weather) and what a brilliant site. Actually very large with loads of space, but didn't feel impersonal as the fields were all carefully sectioned off with hedging. We were greeted on arrival and allowed to pitch early with a choice of where to go (grass pitch only no electrics) and the gentlemen clearly took note of our grey hair and put us close enough to the bathrooms for convenience! The toilet/shower blocks were clean and well maintained and although it is a large site I never had to wait for a shower. Hairdryers were provided free of charge, and sockets for straighteners etc. There was also an ironing and laundry room (didn't need them but good to have). The washing up facilities were indoors and immaculate and again I never had to wait or go back later as there loads of sinks available, each with its own draining board and rack. The site has its own swimming pool and bar, again didn't use them but had a look and both looked great, evening entertainment is also available. The shop was well stocked and reasonably priced. We had breakfast at the cafe on arrival, again reasonable prices and good sized servings.

We visited Porth Beach, Mawgan Porth, both beautiful beaches. Walked the South West Coast Path from Porth to Mawgan Porth - amazing. Porth Island at sunset - breathtaking. Perranporth a bit too crowded for me. Excellent big Morrisons nr Newquay for shopping. Great bootfair on the same roundabout too each Tues/Thur at midday. 10 great days.

We are a family of 5 & spent 12 nights at Treloy.

Overall, the site was very good. On arrival, we were shown to our pitch which was on a slight slope, but was quite large. We did have a light just outside which illuminated the inside of our tent on the first night. But after a chat with the owner, he switched it off for the rest of our stay.

There were a couple of occasions when other campers were to lazy to take their rubbish to the bins, which there were plenty of and only a 30 second walk away, which resulted in seagulls spreading it all over the place. Also on the pitch next to ours, which was empty for the majority of our stay, there was dogs mess. I am not sure whether it was cleared before the new tenants arrived.

The toilet block was kept clean & the showers were nice & hot.

It has a small shop where they sell the usual stuff at campsite prices (slightly more expensive). The playground was great for our younger children, which closed at dusk. The swimming pool was well maintained & we used it several times. It is not supervised & there were some older children who did not observe the safety signs & were dangerously jumping, bombing etc and had no respect for other pool users.

We did not use the clubhouse or games room, so cannot comment on these.

We went out most days, and the location was great for visiting the north coast.

Would we stay here again? Yes we would.

Just back from holiday at Treloy, was nice site, plenty of flowering shrubbery making the sections of the park more secluded, and peaceful, our pitch was a good size, was slightly sloping in Rabbit section, we have a son, who enjoyed the parks and pool so would have been more ideally situated closer to those areas. Was nice that they had some kids entertainment in evenings, and the Zoo visit on Tuesday was good. There was a cafe on site, although it wasn't open when we went to investigate it, plenty of washing up facilities and laundry, and ironing facilities, plenty of showers and toilet facilities, never had to queue, although had to clean them before using every time, we never saw them clean, which was a bit of a let down. Also, no supervision of any kind at the pool, which due to good weather was always full, they had CCTV cameras up, but despite lots of no diving signs many kids (and adults) were and there were a lot of youngsters in the pool, no staff asked them to stop diving, or checked on pool at all whilst we were there

What a fantastic site. We loved it

The children were on the park or in the swimming pool, all very clean and well maintained.

Toilets and showers, plenty of, very clean, always hot water for showers, nice touch of having hairdryers with a chair and mirror.

Washing up facilities inside.

Club house with bar open of a night time, only went once, but the great thing was we never heard any disturbance from it, shuts at 11pm.

Great family site, children loved it, adults loved it.

Close enough to Newquay, all the beaches, shop on site with all the basics.

Would we go again- big yes

LOVE this campsite. We visited during a heatwave, so it was like being in the south of France!

The pitches are large and well set out and the site is beautifully maintained. There is a separate playing field for children, where ours went to play football, and an excellent playground (our boys were 2 & 5 at the time). The outdoor pool is excellent and we took our boys to it every day.

There is a bar on site but it is nothing to shout about. It's pretty basic but serves its purpose. There was entertainment on in the evenings but it was all fairly low-key, but that was fine as the children were all on the playground anyway. One morning there was a visit from Newquay Zoo who brought various small creatures to show the children, and this was excellent and well attended.

There is also a cafe on site but we didn't actually use this as preferred to eat at the tent to keep costs down.

Location wise, there are no beaches in walking distance, but it is only a short drive into Newquay where there are lots. We visited Fistral and Porth in Newquay and also drove a bit further out to Perranporth and Chapel Porth (which is so, so beautiful).

In terms of shopping, there is an Aldi in Newquay which was great for food shopping, and there are obviously lots of touristy shops there as well as the usual high street shops.

I would highly recommend this site to young families- our boys made us promise to go there again as we were leaving, and we are planning to go back next summer.
