This site was lovely. Could lay back and relax and let my child down the park as we had a view of her from our pitch. The outdoor pool was a added bonus
The shop stocked what we needed and the café had a great selection of food and staff were friendly.
The entertainment for children was great, loved the visit from Newquay Zoo.
The facilities were clean and tidy.
A site we would return to in future.

Just leaving this wonderful campsite. We only wished we had booked for two weeks instead of one week. We arrived after a 7 hour journey, to be greeted by the lovely staff at reception. After a prompt check-in, we were shown to our pitch (Rabbit 5) with EHU. This was a large well laid out area and a very good sized pitch.
The campsite is well thought out and beautifully landscaped in order to aid in privacy and help define the different areas. The facilities were excellent, always clean and tidy. Good sized showers with plenty of hot water at all times of the day with use of the free hair dryers. There are ample toilets and showers with plenty of stock ie toilet roll. The washing up facilities are excellent with ample hot water and drying drainers available above each sink unit.
There are also free irons for use with ironing boards. There's a baby bath and changing room. The chemical disposal room was clean and hand sanitiser was always available. There is an on site shop (well stocked for the bare essentials) and a launderette. We used the outdoor swimming pool which was clean and very inviting. The kids loved it! There is an arcade and games/tv room to use in the evening. Adjacent to this is the surfers bar/entertainment room which is good but too small for the size of the campsite. That would be the only downside to the park, but if like us you don't frequent the bar that often it wouldn't affect your stay. The two parks available are of a good size, clean and free of debris and brilliant for the kids. It is an excellent site and very well priced compared to some sites with less amenities in the area.
The campsite is well placed for a visit into Newquay for the beaches and surrounding areas. Fistral beach is lovely after the difficult navigation downward. Lusty glaze and Tolcarne beach are smaller and easier to access. All 3 beaches are beautiful.
We enjoyed our time at treloy so much, we will be returning to this site for two weeks next season.

Campsite was excellent, very clean and very well kept. Pitches all seemed very spacious and well drained. We did request an extra large pitch which certainly was extra large. The heated pool was kept very clean. Plenty of shower/toilet facilities with very hot water! We would definitely go back to this site when back in Cornwall. Situated a short drive from fabulous beaches. We didn't use the club house which was not at all noisy. Site is close to the airport but this was never an issue (especially as not many planes take off/land). We all highly recommend this site.

One of the most telling things about a camp site when looking at reviews is knowing whether or not we would go back to the same camp site. In short, the answer is most definitely YES.
We are a family of 4 with kids aged 8 and 11. They loved the site with the large play areas and surprisingly warm outdoor pool. Also lots of wooded areas to explore and a large field dedicated to playing games. It is great when a camp site can see the benefit of leaving such a large space, even in the summer, without feeling like they have to fill it with tents and caravans. What is also nice is they have left tree-lined paths between pitches around the site meaning you can move around from pitch to shop or toilets etc without necessarily having to walk on the site roads. Not that these were busy, but it is nice to have a scenic route to walk about.
What really makes this site stand apart from many other sites is the attention to small details which end up making a huge difference. For example, many pitches had their own water supply and most had electric. If you didn't have your own water supply, the nearest tap was never far away. Ours was close enough to walk to that it almost made having a water bottle pointless. Then there was the little touches I mentioned. The tap we used had a short piece of hose attached to it, meaning the bottle could be left on the ground and you didn't have to try and aim the water into it, you could just insert the hose into the bottle. Such a simple idea but it meant the area around the tap didn't get all wet where water had splashed about.
The washing up room had plenty of space and drying racks attached to the wall. Another small but brilliant idea that meant you could wash and dry yourself far more easily.
The facilities were always clean, rarely any queues at all and everything was well maintained.
In terms of location, it is a little out of Newquay and the the road in can get busy but never too bad. We were in Newquay during the Boardmasters Festival so it was probably busier than normal. We spent a lot of the time at one of the nearest beaches, Lusty Glaze. I cannot recommend this beach enough and if you get chance, definitely eat in the restaurant on the beach. We had a great evening at the Lusty Glaze restaurant, something we won't forget.
Just some practical advice. Some of the pitches are a little sloping, just enough to ensure the water drains away nicely when it rains. It did rain when we were there and unlike other sites we have been to, we never had a single puddle to content with. However, take some simple wedges and you can always use these to level your table or camp kitchen.

We've just had 16 lovely nights at Treloy.
We were pitched on Swift, which was right next to the road (couldn't see road - separated by a tall hedge), but it didn't cause any problems.
There was a slight slope to the site, we were pleased to be near the top when the site got a bit boggy after a nights horrific rain - our area drained quickly once it stopped.
It's a fairly big site, but didn't feel it on our secluded pitch. Never queued for showers, toilets or dishwashing. Facilities clean at all times. Hint to owners: showers sometimes too hot and dishwashing water sometimes not hot enough.
Play park suited our kids well (4 aged 6-9). It was shut by security at dusk - nice if you're camped close by! Still late enough for our kids - 9pm ish. They also loved the stream in the dog walking area. Pool was nice, and not massively busy even on hot days - I suppose many went out sightseeing?
Club house had OK entertainment. Got busy. Drinks reasonably priced. Used shop a few times, no problems.
Near enough to nice beaches - we visited Mawgan Porth many times.
Note to owners: was whatever you did with the drains in the area next to our pitches essential at 8am? The noise and whistling did wake us most days.
Would definitely return :)

Family of 5 (3 kids under 6) stayed here for a week in August. We were welcomed on a very wet day by polite and friendly reception staff who took our payment and showed us to our generous size pitch. It was very wet in the first 24 hours but the pitch drained very well and we had no problems with surface water. The site is very well equipped with plenty of hot showers, toilets and washing up facilities, pool, bar, shop. However the toilets and showers were often unclean and found ourselves searching for a clean shower. Water and bins were easy accessible and getting around the site was very easy. There is a large field for kids to play, a playground and a heated swimming pool. There is also a dog exercise area and a nature trail. There was a punch and judy show and a visit from Newquay zoo which kids enjoyed a lot. The site is also very well located with easy access many beaches and local attractions. All in all this would be a great site if it wasn't for the unruly nature of a large number of the guests. Despite site rules regarding supervision of children there was regularly large groups of children roaming the site and being quite anti-social until gone 11pm. There was no attendant and therefore this was not addressed by the site. The pool would have been a great asset to the site had it not been again for the unruly behaviour of some of the unsupervised children bombing and fighting in the pool. It really was not welcoming for a 2, 4 or 6 yr old to enjoy the pool. The same could be said for the children's play park where again children were loud and disturbing until gone 11pm. The accommodation on this site is great it's just a shame about the sites management. We will not be returning.

Have just returned from a great 10 day trip at this fab site. Pitches are a good size, we were nice and close to the children's park which they really enjoyed. Plenty of clean toilets and showers, always had hot water, toilet roll and soap available.
The inside dishwashing room was excellent with racks for your plates, also in the room were irons, ironing boards, washing machines and dryers.
Also on site is a small shop, a cafe and a bar with some entertainment, we only went to the children's entertainer one night which they really enjoyed.
The children tried the pool on the one hot day we had and again they loved it, I never went in but it looked nice and clean.
All in all this is a great site and reasonably priced, I would definitely return.

Two adults plus two kids (aged 13 & 11), Vango Maritsa 700.
Stayed on Owl which only has 8 pitches in total which are surrounded by hedges. This gave us a feeling of a small site which we loved. Pegs went in with ease. The pitch was on a slight slope and had EHU. This was further away than some other pitches from the playpark and facilities which again we found a plus point as it seemed to be quieter.
Ample clean facilities. One of the things we loved was that the washrooms which had sinks, showers, baby bathing areas, hairdryer points etc were in a separate block to the toilets (these too were kept clean and always stocked with loo roll). The facilities were kept clean & the free push button showers were lovely and hot.
Dishwasher/laundry room available with washing machines, dryers, iron & ironing board, plenty of sinks & draining areas. Lots of information leaflets in here too giving ideas of things to do/places to go etc.
A couple of play areas for kids with swings, slides etc. Lovely outdoor pool, games/tv room, bar (didn't go in so can't comment on the bar area), small shop selling everything you may need and on site café. Couple of dog walking areas.
Site around 5/10 min drive from Newquay town centre & beaches, situated near RAF base & Newquay airport - don't let this put you off though, did not disturb us at all.
Would definitely recommend and definitely return!

What a gem of a site.
On arrival we found the owner very helpful, filling us in with all that's about the area, and the do's and don't's of the site. Pitch size are great more than enough room for a tent/caravan awning car wind breakers, some on a slite sloop nice pool although we did not use it toilet blocks were spot on nice and clean hot water and cleaned twice a day!club/bar was great first look you would think twice but once inside warm and cosy with different things on every night. And some good nights we had!The site shop and cafe are ok but there is nothing nearby, but all said and done if you want a quite site with things for the kids then this has it, price's are very good. Oh we don't have children but there seemed plenty for them to do.

6 of us visited this site for 7 nights, including kids, 11, 5, 5 and a baby. On arrival we were given a choice of EHU pitches all of which were a very good size. We had a 6 berth tent plus extension, plus pup tent and car and we could easily have fitted another car on the pitch. The pitch was sloping slightly, but not to the point where it was a real issue.
The toilets / showers / washing up facilities were all as clean as can be expected on a busy campsite and the site in general was quite pleasing on the eye with summer flowers in full bloom.
The play area was well equipped although my younger children did complain of 'bigger children' taking over certain areas of it. We also used the club house on a few occasions which was fine if a bit 1980's.
The only thing that really tainted our experience on this site was the disrespectful nature of some of the other campers. We had a pitch quite a reasonable distance from us that insisted on playing their radio non stop everyday, nice and loud so we could all hear it. Then the other side of the bushes we had a charming couple of families whose use of expletives was far too frequent and far too loud for a family campsite, and I'm talking about the adults here, not the children. These same families also decided to pack up their tents at 5:30am on their departure day waking up my children in the process. Surely the park shouldn't tolerate that.
Now the tariff at this campsite is very low, I've just paid £150 more to stay at another campsite with similar facilities minus the pool. It seems like a strange 'complaint' but perhaps if they charged a tad more, they may deter the type of guests we encountered.
I would quite happily visit this site again based on the facilities only, but will not return based on the clientele it attracts.
