We have just returned from our first visit of the year to Treloy. On our arrival, we were greeted by Richard, the park owner with an offer of help to site our caravan and to give him a shout if we needed anything. The attractively landscaped park was looking immaculate for the beginning of the season with the buds on the neatly trimmed trees, hedges and shrubs just starting to open ready to provide both privacy and also shelter from any windy weather, as well as an attractive view from your pitch.
The amenity blocks, including showers, toilets, dishwashing and laundry facilities were spotless as usual. A thoughtful addition for this year has been the construction of a small room within the enclosed swimming pool area, providing a toilet, hand basin and baby changing facility, very useful for families with younger children. There is also a huge sandpit area also containing play equipment and swings for younger children plus an adjoining grass playground with swings and a large play tower with cargo net, rock wall, curved tunnel slide etc. For slightly older ones.
I recommend this excellent touring park for anybody visiting Cornwall, as it is in an ideal location for exploring the whole of the county, or equally to visitors who just want to have a restful holiday enjoying the scenery.

This was our third visit to Treloy, as the children loved it and asked if we could stay again this year, the children's ages range from 12 years to 5 years and we always find plenty for them to do. They loved the swimming pool, which was clean and was heated as children stayed in for over an hour, the younger ones loved the smaller 'half moon pool', as they could play safely. We also made good use of the huge recreation field to play football and cricket. The play park has plenty of things for all ages and is well maintained and looked after.
The showers and toilets were spotless and were regularly cleaned throughout the day, the same has to be said for the the dish washing and laundry facilities, with plenty of hot water, even at peak times of the day!
The site staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and we shall definitely be staying again next year.

Lovely and clean site toilets and showers were spotless. Site waswell run and friendly staff it is about 5-10 drive into newquay town and most the beaches but traffic around newquay at peak times is slow.
Lovely outdoor pool and play areas for the childrenmine are 10 and 8 they loved it. Only bad point is our pitch got a bit waterlogged when it rained and you can't really walk anywhere from the site but a bus does pull up right out front the site.
I would go to the site again as value for money was brilliant, but wouldn't have the same pitch on swallow as I said it got a bit waterlogged in our awning and there was a very rude man in one of the sited caravans who swore out very loudly when our dog was barked at our children who were playing by the caravan.

This is our camp site of choice in the area. The swimming pool is a must for our youngest 2 kids. They love the little park. The facilities are great and cleaned, and with 2 shower/toilet/washing up blocks when one is being cleaned there's always another to use.
Didn't use the food facilities on site, but did use the WIFI. Costs £10. 00 for 7 days or 2gb worth of access, its a bit hit and miss around 9pm when the kids comeback from the park, but works well enough most of the time.
Has a view of Newquay International airport, which has about 5-8 flights per day, mostly turbo props, and is the home of the local air ambulance. But this caused minimal noise problems.
We did have problems with a few people on one pitch and we complained, they were spoken too but they persisted with the noise including loud music with swear words in it.
The security guard did caution them about the noise at night and asked them to be quiet by midnight, when the quiet period started at 11pm.
Other than that which can happen to any camp site and shouldn't detract from the overall experience. I would recommend this camp site to everyone.

We visited this site with grandson (9) for a week in august, from the time we arrived till we departed we were impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the the owner Richard and his staff. The children's playground was excellent (the sand was raked level every morning) with lots of equipment to keep the grandson entertained for hours. Th park was spotlessly cleand including the shower and toilet blocks. The clubhouse had a good quality of entertainment every night.
The heated swimming pool was well used by us all and a great asset to the park.
The play park was locked every night and the friendly security man ensured no one climbed back in. The site was quiet in the evenings even though our pitch was adjacent to the road.
The on site cafe/takeaway was good value for money and run by friendly staff, we ate there twice and the standard of cuisine was excellent.
It was nice to be shown to the pitch on arrival and many thanks to Edward the maintenance man for the loan of a few tools when we had a tv aerial problem.
We will definitely be back for more! Great site, Great value for money, didn't hear a single complaint from any other holiday makers for the week we stayed, all thought it was a good place to stay whether in a tent or tourer.

I have just returned from a weeks stay at Treloy. This campsite is the best I have been to in Newquay. The campsite is well presented with lovely flowers, well sheltered from any wind as all pitches are backed by trees, and most pitches are almost level.
On arrival we were shown to our pitch by a gentleman on a quad bike. We had requested an EHU pitch but were even more pleased when we had our own water tap as well. Our pitch was quite large and we had loads of space.
The toilets and showers were modern, and always clean. We used the swimming pool several times, but the only down side was it closed at 6. 30pm.
We loved the food at the park chef. Good value food, and all homemade by Paul and Tracey who were very friendly.
The bus service is great to, with the bus stop on the campsite entrance. The bus comes at 6mins past every hour into Newquay and is £4 return for adults.
Overall this is a fantastic campsite and I would definitely return.

A beautiful site which is very well run. We stayed here with our two daughters aged 12 & 11yrs in a small T4 with an awning. The pitch was plenty big enough, but very slightly sloping which gave us a bit a trouble with our fridge which we now know has to be on the level!
Nice small pool was fun for the kids, but we were quite lucky with the weather when we went, would have been better if there was an inside pool too for those wonderful english summers.
Our kids made lots of friends, most around 10 yrs old and younger, but despite our daughters being a little older, they still had loads of fun around the playpark as did many other children.
Hats off to the owner of the site though, who not only puts his pride into every aspect of this lovely kept, clean site, but also kept everyones happy holidays in mind when he had no choice but to ask one family to leave after their children had terriorised the playground, bullying and beating other children on a daily basis. He was professional and we feel, did the right thing.
The site is a small drive from Newquay itself, which is packed with things to do and places to eat. There is a RAF base not far from the site, which means you get the odd helicopter, but felt this did not bother us, and we do like some peace especially at night and would not put us off booking again here.
There is a small bar on site, which has some family entertainment in season, i. E bingo and singers etc which was quite enjoyable when you wanted to stay on site.
Toilet and bathroom facilities immaculate. Never ran out of hot water and never had to wait for a shower.
All in all, I would definitely go to this site again when I next visit Newquay.

Just come back from another wonderful stay at Treloy, this time for 2 whole weeks.
This site has got to be rated as 1 of the best sites in the whole of Cornwall.
I would fully recommend this site to anybody.
The Facilities, the site as a whole, the Swimming Pool, and last but not least, the friendly, helpful Staff.
Great little site, a little gem just outside Newquay. Well within distance of all the attractions Cornwall has to offer.

This was our second trip to Treloy tourist park (Newquay), it is a great site with an ideal central location to explore the whole of Cornwall.
The site facilities are excellent with serviced level pitches, free showers and washing up area all of which were regularly cleaned throughout the day.
The children's play area is well planned out and is suitable for all ages and was thoroughly enjoyed by our children as was the pool area.
I found the staff very friendly and the facilities clean and tidy at all times.

Our first time at this site after looking up on ukcamp sites web site and reading reviews.
We had booked Saturday to Saturday but had to phone to change dates to Sunday/Sunday, we found the reception to be most helpful with no issues with us changing dates even at a couple of days notice.
On arrival the reception give was excellent with booking in straight forward, the price even came to less than we were expecting, we were give choices of pitches, the first was by the pool and club which we declined as we thought it may be to noisy.
All the pitches were large and in the main flat(ish)the site it self was larger than we were expecting but due to the layout of the site we didn't feel crammed in, in fact there was plenty of space, we were allow to spill over pitches to ensure we were not on any 'worn' areas.
There are three toilet blocks all we found to be kept clean, the shower block was separate and again was always clean with plenty of hot water. We all used the pool most days in the late afternoon which was never crowded, campers were allowed to take alcohol to the pool side which we thought was not a good policy, the pool was heated but is not attended, children under 13 are not allowed in on there own.
Next to the pool was the surf rider bar which had good entertainment most nights which always finished by 11. 00pm. The site shop was reasonable priced but stocks were limited, that may be because we were there at the end of august.
There is a park diner on site we didn't use it, although many did, there was a reasonable menu on display but with no prices shown so were unable to give a veiw on value.
There is a good children's play area in the middle of the site which was enjoyed by many.
The site is out of Newquay and you do have to take the car where ever you go but there is a bus stop just outside the site gate.
Others have mentioned noise from the airport but we didn't find it a problem with only the odd plane taking off and landing the noise was minimal.
Overall this is a good site, we would definitely use Treloy again and recommend to others.
