This was our third year running that we have stayed there for the bank holiday weekend, only live a few miles away but we like to make this our first camping trip of the year. Staff very friendly and helpful. Pitch with electric was adequate size for us. Toilets and showers clean and plenty of hot water. Handy to have the shop and cafe on site not that we got round to using them. Found having the bus stop right outside very useful, used it everyday to go into Newquay. Hope to go back again next May.

Great Site. Toilets very clean, small shop with the basics, take away/cafe. Heated outdoor pool was lovely, large recreational field for ball games etc. Good children's playground. Close to Newquay, Padstow, Wadebridge. We had the biggest hard standing pitch ever. All in all a really good site.

It was our first family camping trip, the weather wasn't great, but we found the campsite very good, our pitch was opposite the toilet / shower / washing up block.
The site was very popular, the staff were lovely, the entertainment was very good, something for the children early evening, then something for everyone later on.
We used the laundry room a few times, it was quite easy to use! Although it is an independent site it has everything you could need (even a small shop and cafe / takeaway).
It is not far from Newquay or other towns such as Padstow. Fantastic value for money, 100% recommend Treloy tourist park, will hopefully go back next year!

We spent a week at Treloy from the 6th to the 13th August. Due to rain alot of the pitches seemed to be water logged, ours was on a slite slope and seemed to drain well. Our Motorhome is a 6 wheeler and we had no trouble getting to the site, although roads are narrow. Good site for visiting surrounding areas.
Toilets and showers very clean, laundry room well equipped, pool was warm and the boys loved it, not much to do on site for young teenagers, games room rather small. The bar was very busy most nights, staff were friendly and entertainment was good.
Shop and cafe basic, but there is a Co-op less that 10 minutes away and you are only 3 miles from Newquay. Good for dog owners, the site is very dog friendly (our reason for booking). It is near an RAF base but there was no noise and only the 'odd' plane or helicopter were seen all week! Because the site is dog friendly - yes I would go again.

My wife and myself visited Treloy at the end of May along with the rest of my family for a wedding in Newquay. I really cant fault this site as everyone was very friendly and the facilities were spotless. A very well laid out site with plenty of room. Nice to get discount on the Golf course next door but as we were following their 36 hole club championship the pins were placed in the worst place possible! A very nice 9 hole course though. I would recommend this site without hesitation and would definitely visit again.

My self and my fiancee spent 2 weeks at Treloy during July and August 2007 (the only 2 dry weeks of the summer!)
This was the first holiday that we have been on together and I have today sent off our booking for this year.

I cant speak highly enough of Treloy, the site is clean and tidy, the showers and toilets are cleaned twice a day and are modern. I believe these are being expanded for the 2008 season.
The staff are always friendly and keen to help. The site is near an RAF base but the noise is minimal.
The site is couple and family oriantated so noise on the site was minimal, after 11pm.
Only on one occasion did we have a problem when a new couple on the pitch next to us decided to hold a drunken party at 2am and this was dealt with quickly by the manager in the morning and they were very quite from then on.

The site has a small shop which stocks all the everyday basics you'll need, but there is a co-op about 10 mins away by car which has an excellent range of supplies and an ATM, the nearest superstore is Tesco's which is in Truro. There is also a BP just down the road from the co-op. The site is well located, away from all the crowds of Newquay but close enough that anything you could want to visit is within a short drive. We would highly recomend Treloy to anyone looking for a quite break in cornwall!

Had a 'wet' time in August - this is the second time we have been to Treloy.

We liked Treloy, as it has very large pitch sizes, and we all have large tents (Sunncamp Horizon & Antigua), which most sites won't let on (plus gazebos etc.).

They have moved things around a bit this year, and the previous large field at the top (which we had almost on our own last year) has now been divided up. We asked to go up there, but were advised against it. We insisted. We were given a pitch up there. Didn't like it. And were shown the original pitch that they had allocated for us (perhaps we should have listened in the first place!).

Facilities were good as usual. Clean as usual. We tend not to use the club, as it gets very packed and there is nowhere to sit, but with 11 kids between us we'd rather get them off to bed early so we can start off the next morning (security on the site is generally very good, and there isn't much noise after 22:00. The one night there were noisy kids playing footie in the night they were dealt with fairly promptly).

Newquay is great for the beaches, and the kids usually love it. Unfortunately the weather was against us this year and we found it difficult to entertain them 'indoors'.

Will probably go back next year, unless I come to my senses and venture abroad for some sunshine.

Spent 10 days on this site over the last week in August / first week September.

On arrival at 9am in the morning was shown straight to our pitch even though we shouldn't have arrived till lunchtime, and when we found that the pitch was horribly un-level, asked for another pitch and was immediately moved to one directly opposite which was level, so first impressions very good due to flexibility shown by owner.

The site is quite large, but has a cosy feel to it due to the areas being separated by shrubs / trees / fences.

The facilities are ample for the size of the site and are centrally located, the only downside being that they do look a little dated and are in need of a spruce up. The dated look gives the feel of the showers/toilets being dirty, but in fact they are kept clean and tidy.

Site shop is small and very basic, so don't expect to pick up everything you need to knock up a meal. The pool area is clean, pool cold at first as is only slightly heated, and is always surprisingly quiet, although this may be due to the fact that any kids under 15 have to be accompanied.

The surrounding area is packed with things to do, and some of the best beaches that this country has to offer. Of the places we visited, I would especially recommend the Eden project and the Cornish birds of prey centre, both great days out.

In and around Newquay itself, be prepared to pay out loads in parking fees if you use the car.

Eating out around the area is as varied as you can imagine with every type of restaurant that you could ever want or need.

All in all the site may not be the most glamorous in the world, but neither is it the most expensive. Its in a nice area, has all the facilities that you may need, and even the fact that the RAF base is right next door doesn't put me off wanting to return (the little bit of noise that does come from the base isn't in the least bit offensive).

Having spent two weeks here in August I have the following comments:
Site owners very friendly and helpful, bit of a problem with drainage, (the site is on quite a slope, and the owners have done their best to address this). We had no problem with aircraft noise, except for the rescue helicopter, and as far as I am concerned if it is needed it has to operate! one day we might need it.
OK the showers might need some updating, but there was a planning application posted for an extension to the Ladies shower block, and having spoken to the owner, there are plans to build a shower block at the top of the tent field.
It would appear that there has been a new electric and water ring main put in, so I would feel that the owners have looked at previous comments.
The clubhouse is friendly and easy going (as is the rest of the site), OK teenagers have a habbit of being quite loud, but we would do well to remember we were that age once, overall they were not a problem, and the site security guard was very good.
The local area was very nice, the only problem was that the local pub was a long way away, and the take away doesnt deliver, but the site take away was very good.
I would suggest a trip to Mawgan Porth beach during the day and the Mermaid at Porth at night.
We will come back here again, and would not hesitate to come with friends.

The site was virtually full, the pitch was very good although a little short on space once the caravan, awning and car were all in place.
We felt the toilet block was too small for this site, both the smaller block ( toilets only ) and the main block ( toilets in one building, shower block in the front building ). If you want either a shower or the loo and do not want to wait in a queue, go either at 7.30 am or 10.00 pm at night. The cubicles are dark and small with no hooks to hang your clothes on.
The shop is small but nice
The clubhouse is welcoming, and there are acts on most nights, but this site is not near to any other pubs etc, so it's got to be the car for meals out / beaches etc. The local beaches are fantastic, but be ready to spend £70 - 100 over a 2 week holiday on car park charges, you cannot park anywhere at all without paying.
The site roads are tatty, the grass verges next to the roads are bare, the shower block building wants some tlc. Not up to the standard it portrays, and with the air force base next door flying helicopters until 11.00 pm.
