Lovely peaceful site on the canal side great pub food
Good if not a little small facilities
Grass was a little long
Level hard standing with electric, we were furthest away from the pub so quite a walk to get water etc

Very laid back site, great for touring the area. The Pub grub is excellent and always a good selection of real ales.
The facilities are a bit basic, but they are clean so not a problem.
The site is pretty big with plenty of space. Close to the canal so good for walking. No Hook ups on the field, I think they do a few in a separate area.
Cost us £12. 50 per night which is fantastic value for money. If you like just parking up and getting on with it yourself this is a great location.

We tried to book via email, but no reply, turned up anyway and got on, the grass field was spacious but massively overgrown over ankle height,
Went for pub food told that they were too busy for food and drinks, a wait of 30 minutes +, and do with that what you want! Thankfully there was a chip shop !
We only went for 1 night, it almost like they Decided the night before to open, seemed totally unprepared 😐

Spent 1 night at this site. It was £20 on a grass pitch with EHU. The hard standing pitches were taken when we arrived, It's in a nice part of the world and we intend to visit again in the spring to get the full benefit of the area.
The pub is traditional medium sizedbuilding with wooden floors, connecting rooms a welcoming wood burning stove. There is a good selection of draught beers and lager.
Staff were helpful and attentive. We enjoyed our meals: a madras curry and the turkey roast dinner. A cheesboard had a good selection of lesser known and established offerings. We didn't use the facilities as we were only there for 1 night.
Because of torrential rain we did get our van stuck on the grass pitch, however, everyone was really helpful and got us towed out pretty quickly.
A special mention should be made for Chloe - she is a fantastic worker and a lovely person.

Stayed here to meet boating friends for a meal in the pub.
I tried booking online through the website and Facebook but never got a reply! Our friends went in person in the end to the pub and managed to book us a pitch.
The pub staff were very friendly and helpful.
We didn’t, but be aware you have to pay for the showers.

Midweek break to meet friends in motorhome we hadn’t seen for some time. Stayed on field so plenty of room to distancing. Bar staff etc very helpful and friendly. Bar Covid arrangements good.
Site Facilities not really up to Covid standards but weren’t using so not a huge worry for us. Cleaning only appeared to be once a day. Piles of weekend rubbish in field still there on Wednesday.
Pleasant place to stay. Canal fishing but care required re pandemic otherwise ok. Value : quite reasonable.
Been before and in other circumstances Nantwich handy, local bus.
A good spot if you want a little break and don’t want to mix ! Which was fine with us !
