Warm friendly welcome beautiful views, great place for the weekend
Wincle has lovely brewery pub and great walks.
Just needs a bit of work, facilities etc.
Would I come again, yes. But with a bit off sprucing up we'd love to come back.

Really nice friendly camp. Had a great time
The pub is brilliant too.
Might be good to check the weather though as it is a tad exposed being up near the top of the hills. But don't let that put you off just wear the right clothes

Although the weather was wet and we weren’t able to get to the field we were given space on the hard standing still with EHU. Showers and toilets were old but clean and usable.
All facilities were good and very friendly host. Cost was very reasonable. Views and sunrise fantastic, yes we saw the sun.
All in all a great weekend away.

Owner is very friendly and helpful
Only problem was the weather we had to cut our trip short due to gale force winds and rain Such a shame as we were looking forward to staying for 4 nights only managing 1

Another great weekend at the Wild Boar, camped with a bunch of friends and our dogs. Strange times with the covid, even though Val could not do food or have entertainment in the pub, as always we had a warm welcome from her and Alan.
Had a few drinks in the pub on the Friday, it's great to be made welcome with our dogs, lovely dog friendly pub, views and walks amazing, a good base for walkers.
Thanx again val and Alan see you next year.

A great location in the west of the Peak District with stunning views of the surrounding hills.
The camping field is off the main road behind the pub. It's quite a basic site and the shower block could do with updating but the water was hot so long as you're not expecting anything fancy it does the job.
The pub is only open a few evenings a week at the moment and they weren't doing food at the time we went but may have started up again so ask if they have.
If not there are a few lovely pubs to eat at (I can recommend the The Ryles Arms as an excellent and popular choice).

Had a fantastic stay. Alan and Val (the owners) were very friendly and helpful.
The Wild Boar Inn is full of character and charm and the pub and attached campsite are set in absolutely beautiful countryside with breathtaking views. No shops nearby but short drive to lovely pubs/restaurants.
Will definitely return.

Decent basic little site.
The land slopes a little bit so there isn't many flat pitches. A small toilet and shower block.
Pub wasn't open due to the 2020 shutdown
