Plus points were the cleanliness of the toilets and showers and friendliness of the proprietors.
The site is rural and quiet -at least it was during the school term time that we were there.
Downsides were the muddy gateways to the field we stayed on and even worse the muddy entrance to the shower/toilet blocks area. The remedy is obvious, namely a couple of tons of 'crusher run' hardcore. These problems have been mentioned by at least 2 campers as long ago as August 2008 yet it is clear nothing has been done. The access road is badly potholed too.
Two campers were letting their dogs run off-lead and these were being chased around by their small children.
Grass cutting machines did not pick up the clippings and these were carried everywhere on one's footwear into the caravan and also into the shower block. The person doing the grass cutting wrapped the mains hook up cable over the barbed wire on the nearby fence.
We never saw the proprietors or their staff stroll around the site to check on compliance with the rules and to note where improvements might be made.

Just returned after 3 nights away with my husband and 2 long hair chihuahua's! Will definitely be returning!
Had an amazing time at Kennexstone, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The facilities were superb:
Well stocked shop
Plenty of toilets and showers in great condition (and hot water!)
Dish washing room with plenty of sinks
Washing machine
Tumble Dryer
Complimentary freezer to use blocks whilst our ice blocks re-froze!
Very generous sized pitches (EHU pitches were around the edge of the field we were in)
Separate gated field to take the dogs for a walk and give them time off the lead.
Can't recommend this site highly enough, superb in every way!

2nd or even 3rd time at this site, and it's no wonder we keep returning!
Excellent site layout with brilliant facilities, with separate areas to wash wetsuits and plates. The toilet block also has a separate disabled shower block, just remember to get the key the night before!
Small shop on site that provides the basic at reasonably prices.
Staff are uber helpful and there is little doubt that we'll be back again sometime this year.
The large fields provide ample play area for the kids and I have never played so many sports in one weekend before!

Simply a great site!
This is my 3rd visit, the welcome was very efficient and friendly. The pitch was easy to find and spacious enough. Very good value, only £21.
The Toilet and shower block was very clean, and never needed to queue.
Although there was no playground for the children, there was ample space as the pitches were all around the side of the field, however some campers had pitched not around the side of the field as they were not using electric, so I imagine this could be an issue when very busy.
Very easy to find the site, just follow the directions they provide on their website.
The shop was reasonably priced for ice creams and any items you might forget.

Nice, roomy site with very decent facilities. You're a mile from Llangenith (30 mins walk down the country lane) and a couple of miles from Rhosilli Bay and the beach, but Kennexstone is a great alternative to the 'camping sardines' of the criminally-overpriced Hillend site down on the dunes.
Make sure you take a hike up the old hillfort of Harding Down, for an amazing view of the bay and surrounding wilds.
Staff were very pleasant, albeit one warden paying rather too much attention to us, despite the field we were in being almost completely empty, and our not even making any noise - bit bizarre! However, can't fault a site for having diligent wardens.
We'll definitely return, really good site.

A very pleasant campsite.
We were fortunate with the weather which compliments the beautiful surroundings. The Gower is a very pretty area with some stunning beaches.
This site is spacious and well laid out. The pitches are generous and open. The toilet facilities were very good and clean, showers very hot and well looked after. The shop on this site remains open until late, very useful.
The staff are pleasant and helpful.
Good parking facilities if you wish to leave later in the day without paying the extra fee.
Very good value for money
Will return

Fantastic site with SUPER friendly owners/staff - will definitely be staying here again!
This was my first trip to the Gower and I will be back - it is very natural & rugged, like Cornwall & North Devon, but far less touristy.
The site has perfect toilet, shower & washing up facilities and I loved that the shop, which was very well stocked, was open from 8am-11pm - perfect if you run out of anything!
Llangennith beach is beautiful if the weather is sunny - parking was only £3. 00 for the day and if the weather is overcast I can recommend visiting Rhossili and Worms Head - catch the tide while it's going out & you can walk the causeway to Worms Head and if you're lucky see wild seals basking on the rocks below the island - awesome! :-)

We stayed at this site as part of a very large organised group event that filled the site for the weekend we were there. I normally avoid sites as large as this, but would not hesitate in returning again to Kennexstone. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
Despite the site being full over the weekend it was very well managed. Toilet facilities were clean, and showers nice and warm. A separate area was provided for washing wetsuits etc. Were some queues for the washing up facilities but we didn't need to use these. Ice blocks are frozen for free with a self service arrangement.
Over the weekend the site was host to a separate evening barbecue as part of the organised event on site, and it seemed that the staff managed the additional visitors onto the site well. I would recommend the site if you are looking to book a rally or group event.
There are nice views from the site and lovely surrounding area. Worms Head is worth a visit, particularly for Doctor Who fans! No shops particularly nearby but basics sold on site.
We were here just for a weekend for the event on site, but wished we had booked a week! If we ever return to Gower we'll look up this site!

Stayed for 5 nights last week in July. Campsite great, staff very friendly, small shop great for all essentials, some areas of ground not that flat but we had a spot that was nice and flat. Showers and toilets spotless and sufficient number even when the site became very busy towards the weekend. Washing up facilities fine, free freezer to freeze cool blocks. Plenty of room for kids to run about even in adjacent fields(they had a great time), lovely views, 5 minute drive to beaches, very quiet, lovely scenery. Ice Cream man that visited every evening was an instant winner! Would definitely recommend this site and would definitely return. Kids play area wouldn't go a miss if installed!

Just had very short stay at Kennexstone - left bit early because of rain - 1st time here and was very impressed.
Toilets and Showers were spotless. Useful little shop on site. Felt very safe for children. Near to some awesome beaches. Had tried to get into Hillend but having seen that site I'm glad we didn't and got in here.
Only complaint would be that if you didn't have an electric hookup pitching was random. Electric pitches were well marked and spaced but others weren't. Most people were sensible and were considerate of other people's space but some arrived as we were packing up who were obviously just concerned with their comfort without thinking how others could access their tent etc. Perhaps pitch marking would help?
