First camping holiday ever! We enjoyed a weekend break here at the start of the busy school summer hols. The site was very busy but full of families and we felt very secure and relaxed. There were plenty of toilets and showers all cleaned regularly and soap and toilet rolls always available. Even though site was completely full we never had to queue. Very useful little shop / shed at reception where they reserved our bacon for the following morning to keep it cool! Friendly people, let us choose our own pitch and all the hot water is free (and very hot it is too!) No complaints, a great site, only thing that could have been better would be being able to adjust the temperature on the ladies showers as the little ones found it too hot. Will definitely be back!

We stayed here in May, a last minute weekend break to check our tent was all in order ready for the summer! The campsite itself was lovely ~ clean, quiet & very helpful staff. The icecream van that comes round in the evenings was an unexpected treat! There's not a lot within walking distance, so if you are looking for any action or even a decent shop, then you're at the wrong place. But the site is a brilliant base for day trips out, or chilling out around the site. We had a lovely time.

Stayed here last weekend: a last minute decision so no time to do any research or book. But had a wonderful time. The site is superb. The upgrade to the facilities mentioned in older reviews has obviously been done and the loo block now doesn't close for cleaning - they have two blocks adjacent so they close one whilst cleaning and vice versa. The facilities are all spanking new and faultess - until campers start using them and leave a trail of mess. What a shame that not all visitors can clean up after themselves and have to leave their mess for others. But it was never very long before it was all cleaned again. We were very impressed with the whole set up - site, facilities and staff. Would definitely visit again.

Lovely place. Great, simple facilities, friendly owner. Just fields, ice block service, and a nice new shower block. Very noisy and busy at the weekend, close to Swansea and Cardiff I suppose, but still didn't feel overwhelming if you can take the singing into the wee hours.

Our first experience of camping. The site was clean, well set up, friendly and very helpful. It was within walking distance of 2 local pub/resturaunts, and nearby beaches. Would reccomend this site to anyone, singles or families alike. We will defintely be going back.

Had 8 great nights here in late August. It was our first family (mum, dad and 2 children 3 & 6 yrs old) camping trip and we would definitely come back. Flat pitches, quiet and safe for kids to go off and make friends. Staff very helpful & friendly.
Loos & free hot showers very new, kept clean and only had to queue for a couple of minutes once on Sunday morning (for comparison we used the loos at Hillend when we were on the beach one day and they were pretty unpleasant) Laundry & washing up very good too.
Lots of space during the week - plenty of room for the kids to play cricket / frisbee / ride bikes etc.
Beaches are fantastic - spent most of time at Hillend end of Rhossili bay - about 2-3 mile drive and £2 to park. PJs surf shop in Llangennith good for wet suits, body boards etc.
Any niggles? - only very minor: you can't control the temerature in the showers and it was occasionally a bit hot (I should complain!), esp for the children; it filled up with the weekenders and was fairly crowded for Saturday night (I imagine most places were); nearest milk bread was about 3 miles away at shop in Esso garage in Llanrhidian - actually a fairly well stocked little general store (if you want a real supermarket, you would need to go into Swansea)

August 2005 Arrived on spec late on a Friday after an horrendous experience at another campsite outside Swansea. After the initial surprise that the site wasn't full we pitched up and immediately felt relaxed and at home.
We were in the level family field with lots of space and a lovely 'feel' to it, everybody was warm and friendly, the excellent toilet and shower block were a short distance away and our three children loved exploring the woods (near enough to be safe, far enough so that they felt independent!)
It is an excellent site for exploring the Gower, which felt like so many beaches, so little time!
The site managed to combine having everything that was needed while still feeling unspoilt. The site could benefit from an extra water point (which would be a mixed blessing as the queuing at busy times often allowed for conversation!)It was only the Gale force winds (out of the control of the site owners!)that ended our trip early.
We will definitely be coming again

August 2005 What a Great Site for young families!
Have just returned from 5 day break at Kennexstone and it was great. Plenty of toilets and hot showers (which are closed for 2 hours every day for cleaning!) Laundry Room and washing up facilities are adjacent to the shower block and are undercover too. All facilities are included in the price and also a FREE ice pack service too!
The site itself is basically just three fields, however one of which is reserved for families and quiet guests which was where we were. Complete silence after 11pm - great for our sleeping 2yr old.
The only downside was the nearest shop which was five miles away - an esso garage actually but stocked a good selection of basic items. There are plans to build a shop onsite which would make this a great base for touring the Gower!
Overtall a great site which will only improve under the current management.

August 2004 We visited Kennextone last summer, and while admittedly it was our second choice (having hoped to go back to Hill End, which was unfortunately full!) but a wise choice nonetheless! The campsite was very quiet, very much a couples site, but there was very little in the way of facilities on site. The toilets were clean and adequate, but the queue for the showers was way too long!
We enjoyed our stay here, but as there was very little on site I doubt whether we would go back as our first choice.
The staff were friendly and helpful, which is never a bad thing. But if you want something more than a very peaceful camping break then this won't be the place for you. If you are looking to spend a few days relaxing onsite then make sure you take all your provisions or be prepared for a drive to the nearest shop!

April May 2004 I have just spent two weeks in what I think is a great site, that is on the up and up. Kennexstone Farm now has flushing toilets with hot water and washing up facilities. Still awaiting planning permision for a lot more. For those quiet get-away places you couldn't ask better. One of the friendliest families on the gower coast that will do anything to help and advise you.
The scenery, the walks are all outstanding, within a mile or two of both Llangenith & Llanmadoc beaches one couldn't ask for more. A nice stroll to the pub for a meal and a drink at the Britania. Take my advice and try it, you will be pleasantly suprised.
