This site is surrounded by lovely views and wildlife and is in a peaceful position. Although the child friendly aspect was lowered by the farm dog which appeared regularly on the site on its own and we had to keep picking our sons football up if he was playing as he kept sitting by it.
Also the park with swings and a slide which would be nice was again lowered by the dog using it as a toilet whilst my sons played on it. As you walked around the site there was dog mess too.
When we were packing up to leave we saw a dog going up and down the child's play tunnel and if I had seen that before I wouldn't have let my children play in it. Also the entrance to the site is quite tight for a caravan and over grown trees don't help this.
The pitch we were on was not level at all either. It was quiet the weekend we were there but had it been busy the toilet facilities wouldn't have been enough with 2 toilets and 1 shower!
It's a shame because this could be a lovely site had it been maintained better.

We visited this site and what a wonder we found, Tim and Karen welcomed us and made us feel welcome, the site is beautiful and very well kept as are the toilets and showers, the views are stunning, Tim goes all out to entertain the kids with his barrel rides and water slide, we found the guided tour of the farm very interesting and informative, the breakfast packs available for order are good value for money and are the best quality sausage, bacon and eggs(yum). This site is excellent value for money and Tim has in depth Knowledge of the local area, I would definitely recommend this site and we will definitely be going back.

Camped here from Friday to the Sunday. Would definitely go back. The farm was lovely and the owners made you feel welcome. There was a shower each for men and women and the toilet block was reasonably clean
There was a children'splay area. My 11yr old made friends from the start and she thouroghly enjoyed it. The farmer had tractor rides and also did a mini waterslide as the wweather was so hot.
We had a farm tour. I also fpund out that you could buy breakfast which if I had known before hand I would have tried. But as we had brought our own we had to miss out on fresh farm food. Maybe they should advertise this on their website.
Overall a fantastic stay would definitelyrrecommend.

What a gem.
Stayed here for over a week and the thought of going back has prompted me to write this review.
We loved every minute of it. The site is flat and small with outstanding views across the countryside. The washing facilities were good enough for me to shower our young son and they were certified good by my wife who has higher standards than most.
The owner/farmer is a lovely chap and he puts in a real effort to make sure everyone is having fun. He allows fires, he puts on farm tours and he had a quad train and water slide for the kids.
The surrounding area has lots to do within fairly easy drives - even a day out to Birmingham is easy (i know because we did it).
It is a working farm with animals and machines etc and dogs and chickens roaming about, but doesn't that make it even better?
This is no sterile holiday space - this is a real place and its fantastic for it.
Come the evening and the fire is lit; a cold beer beckons. Marvellous.

Fantastic site. First outing as a family in our new tent. Owners very helpful and friendly. Lots of fun for the children, slide and play area. Also the barrel train ride around the farm they loved. Very interesting farm tour. Free wifi an added bonus! Would highly recommend this site for families and also older people when it's not term time to visit the views are magnificent.

I left my tourer caravan for 3 months during the summer at Nicholson farm.
I would pop over to stay on my days off so was during the week.
Tim and Karen are hospitable and very helpful.
The shower block and facilities are good and the views are lovely.
I would certainly recommend this farm for camping and tourers anytime.

We have just returned from Nicholson Farm and all of us agree its one of the best camp sites we have ever been to! There were four adults, five children and a dog! The farmer was so welcoming and made us feel part of the farm. He planned activities for the kids, a farm tour and even rang the local to book us in for dinner when we asked about somewhere to eat! Tim and Karen clearly work so hard on the working farm and still make time for the campers! It is a quiet, clean site. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a great weekend!

We used to frequent Farmer Tim's but a change in family circumstances has prevented us from visiting for two years so we were particularly looking forward to this trip. We were not disappointed! The campsite is bigger than we remember but still compact enough to offer a small, quiet and relaxing long weekend with splendid views of the rolling hills of Herefordshire. I'd recommend this campsite to anyone; and do.
Farmer Tim and his wife Karen went out of their way to ensure our pleasure including a fire pit, farm tour, egg hunt and water slide. Their hospitality is better than most commercial sites we've been to.
This is a working farm so farm muck, smells, dogs and noise is expected. They all add to the ambiance of the site as far as we're concerned. Fantastic; looking forward to returning :)

I have just returned from a weekend stay at this working farm campsite and my family and I (two children aged 6 and 21 months)have had a fabulous time and will be returning in the future. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome by the owner Tim. The pitches were very well kept although a slight negative was that ours was on a bit of a slope however in hindsight had we not of been rushing so much to put the tent up this could have been minimised. The owner went over and above for the entire stay, checking that campers were ok, conducting a tour of the farm which the children loved and on a hot Saturday afternoon setting up a water slide down the banking! The fire pit in the evening was a real bonus to sit out watch the sunset with the flickering flames and toasting marshmallows. The playground was ideal from the wooden tree house and slide, swings for both baby and older children and also a tunnel that my two loved climbing up and down.
There were only two toilets and one shower in the ladies and the same for the gents, however we only had to wait on a few occasions. Also the bonus of the pond/lake was lovely for the kids to try out their nets.

Just returned from fantastic trip to Nicholson farm. Stayed extra nights enjoyed it that much! Owners very welcoming. He was fantastic with our 3 children who enjoyed the cows and new calves, feeding the chickens and collecting the eggs. The tours were good for children and adults alike. We were there when noisy group were sent home by the owner per earlier review. This was dealt with swiftly restoring the site to the peaceful family site it is. Facilities are kept clean with plenty of hot water. Lots of space and good play area for children. Beautiful views and never seen such densely star filled sky. Sunsets stunning too. Site is well located for visiting surrounding area and we loved the firebaskets and wood available to hire. Cars parked in adjacent field but were still very close by. Hope to return soon.
