Visited this site for 2 nights from May bank holiday Monday. What a wonderful place to stay. Were made so welcome and just stayed on the site for three days. We just wandered the fields and caught some lovely fish in the lake including 2 carp over 10 pounds. Kids thought it was wonderful and spent most of the time playing with the farm dogs and training other peoples dogs to jump the fence. Will be going back many times we hope.

We stayed here over the may bank holiday weekend. The site owners were really accommodating as we were a last min booking. The site was in a beautiful and peaceful location, with a local pub just up the road which served great food / beer.
If I had any criticism to make it would be the fact that there is only one shower and two toilets, they were really well kept and clean, but there were quite a few people on the site (although its only very small)this particular weekend and that meant a bit of a queue.
On the whole a great little site and would definitely visit again. We took our two dogs and they were made very welcome too :)

We stayed at this site over the Spring bank Holiday. We tried different campsites all were more expensive and they wanted you to stay a minimum of 3 nights. We were not disappointed.
The pitch itself would accommodate any size tent. The owners were really friendly, always came for a chat to make sure everything was fine.
The site is a field that's about the size of a football pitch on 2 tiers looking down on the fishing lake. Hook up on top (tents and caravans) with non-hook up on lower tier. The view was fantastic.
I feel that I have to point this out by saying that dogs are welcome, even though it does not mention this on the front page. We had a couple of dogs, so did nearly everyone else. A doggy haven.
There were only 2 toilets and 1 shower. Only one toilet had a sink to wash your hands and that was only with cold water. I personally would like to see a couple of extra sinks with hot water made available. Electric shower was fine.
There are a couple of pubs either side of the campsite, but then again the owners did say they could arrange a lift for you to the pub.
Queenswood Country Park is around 6 miles away (15 mins drive) and The Malvern Hills around 20-30 mins drive.
I personally would go there again, but would like hot water.

We visited Nicholson Farm and had a lovely time.
Beautiful countryside very peaceful and a very friendly owner in Tim who was very helpful.
If you have children who are interested in farming and all that goes with it you wont find much better.
The pub up the road does excellent food.
A great blend of camping as it should be with the luxury of electric hook up ,a shower, and proper toilets.
I would highly recommend this site, and will definitely be back again.

Good site friendly people would definitely go again.
Good local cider trail!
Pub up the road recommended --owners mentioned they could arrange transport --its not far away but its too dangerous to walk along A44 especially on the way back!
Nice new barbecue on good strong free site shower(1) and wc(2) adequate clean and freshly painted
Tranquil setting well off main road
Access to Caravan pitches would benefit from some hardcore/gravel but should be OK in the summer-no prob with 4x4
The tent pitches are slightly lower down the field.
Unfortunately one little toddlers staying in a tent zapped himself on the electric fence around the chicken enclosure. There are some swings on site for the kids too but unless your kids are outdoor types there may not be enough to keep them interested. Bring some fishing rods!

We had a fantastic Easter family weekend at Nicholson farm. The site is part of a working farm and the pitches overlook beautiful views of the area. The welcome from Karen was warm and friendly showing us to our pitch.
As it is a working farm it has lots of animals, we were taken to see the cows being milked and the boys got to stroke them which they loved and are still talking about! There are the friendly farm dogs who love the attention and playing with a football. We even got to go egg collecting which was a special request of our eldest son.
The site is lovely and quiet perfect for young kids who want to run free and get mucky! Watch out for the electric fence though. Well worth pointing out to the kids!
Whilst there Tim built swings for our boys which were great. I cannot fault the 'customer service'. Tim has even provided a communal bbq which was christen whilst we were there.
The facilities were / are basic with only two toilets (one with a sink) and one shower, this was fine when we were there however it wasn't busy and could be an issue if it is busy.
That said that we will be returning during the late May bank hol and we have our fingers firmly crossed for good weather.

A lovely farm site, with peaceful views from the camping area. Facilities are more than adequate for the price, and farmer Tim responded quickly to our suggestions for more hooks in the shower. Good pub food at The King's Head in Docklow, although it's 1.5 miles away along the A44; take lights if you are going to walk it at night. A very enjoyable stay

This is a lovely, small camp site, and in a great location from which to explore the many delights of Herefordshire. The views from the camping field are fantastic, and the farmer is very friendly and chatty. He even got a BBQ going for us all on two of the nights. It’s nice for the kids to be on a real farm: to see the pigs, cows, chickens and dogs. Obviously there is the downside of being on a farm, too - the noise at 3am when the cockerel crows, the dogs bark and the milking starts – but this bothered us less than we thought it would. The facilities are basic, but perfectly adequate, with a good hot shower; and it’s a reasonable price, so you don’t expect luxury. The field was rather muddy, but there had been particularly heavy rain recently; we’ve been on much muddier sites! We had booked this for the bank holiday weekend at very short notice, and were delighted to have found such a restful place to be: much nicer than crammed in on a ‘holiday park’! I am sure we will go again.

We stayed at Nicholson Farm over the bank holiday weekend. The campsite is small with fantastic views over the Herefordshire countryside. Children and dog friendly. Farmer Tim is welcoming and helpful, building a communal BBQ in the evening and giving us some fresh milk when we ran out! Fishing lake on site.
There is a shower, two toilets and hot and cold running water. Facilities are basic but met our needs. Campsite extension and improvements are promised for 2009.
There is a great pub in nearby Leominster, 'The Chequers' is well worth a visit with Wye Valley beer, great food and friendly staff and locals. We will definitely be returning next year!

My wife and I had an enjoyable week at Nicholson farm although the weather was terrible. Its well placed to visit Worcestershire and Herefordshire (black and white village tour recommended!) although to stay here, a car is a must. Its very reasonably priced and the host was most generous with his milk and eggs! It might have been a little crowded in the ablution block if the campsite had been full of families. We'd definitely go back again. Many thanks to tim (the owner) who made us most welcome and and ensured our rain soaked stay was at least a warm one with his cleverly designed tractor wheel barbecue cum firepit and plentiful supply of firewood. We found Herefordshire a beautiful county full of interesting people and places. Plenty to do and see although if you do the cider trail beware of the perry, its sweet and moreish with a powerful after effect.(Sallie, where are those headache pills?)
