Stayed here for 4 nights. Had beautiful weather, beautiful surrounding countryside and views. Owners were very welcoming and made the time to talk and answer any questions. The children loved the farm animals and enjoyed feeding the chickens and pigs their left over meals. If your willing to get up at 3am in the morning like my kids! Tim will let you watch him milk the cows. They also had the wonderful opportunity to make the new born calfs beds. 2 toilets and 1 shower but was clean.
There is a lovely pub called the kings head which did lovely meals and a nice little playground with a bunny called Flopsey. All in all a lovely start to the camping season.

We stayed for 10 nights and had a great time. The children loved playing with the farm dogs and seeing the calves. The little playground was a great meeting place for all the children on the site and they all made friends. The sausages were yummy!
It did get very busy over the August Bank Holiday weekend. With only 2 showers and 3-4 toilets there were queues. It also got a bit noisy with lots of little children being allowed to run around and scream before 7am. If you plan to go on a Bank Holiday then be prepared.
The location is spectacular with amazing views across the countryside and my son loved seeing the stars out at night as the skies were so clear! The site is down a track so you don't get any road noise.
Definitely a great little site which is very reasonably priced. I only wish we were close enough to use it for weekends.

Colin And June visted for three days in August, had a wonderful time. Toilets and showers were
Spotlessly clean. Tim and Karen very friendly and made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble for them and always willing to help. The sausages we bought were the best we have ever tasted.
A very big thank you to Tim for helping us to put up the awning, without it we will probably still be struggling.
A small and very friendly site for those looking for a spot of fishing or just a quiet break to get away from it all. Everything very reasonably priced from the site fees to the full english breakfast available.
Thank you for making our stay such a warm and welcoming one and we most certainly will be visiting again

Tim was a helpful chap, saw him helping a couple with their awning on their van. Didn't try the sausages but I dare say they're great. We ate at the pub down the road (Kings Arms) which was fantastic value.
The site is rather compact and would be a bit crowded if it was full. The pitches are VERY small and VERY close together. It's as well that we were with a group of friends! The views are to die for and there's plenty to see and do in the area. Showers/WC are of the adequate variety - no complaints from me. (the 6/10 is to do with the tight pitches)
It was just that damned Bull, bawling it's head off every morning at 5:30 that might put me off going back. Yes it's a working farm but this thing was doing 130db about 3 foot from our tent.

Small farm site with good facilities (free showers). Agree with the recent reviews - the site has fantastic views across open countryside. Recommend the home-produced bacon, sausages and eggs.
Good local pubs, together with a number of local cider producers nearby, for example seek out Butford Organics at Bowley. We will be returning to visit Tim and Karen again very soon.

My husband and I and 2 kids stayed here for 5 nights in June. We enjoyed the warm weather and the georgeous scenic views in every direction. Our cityborn children were privileged to learn about country life eg. Where milk and eggs come from.
We did several interesting daytrips, the best one was the Black and White trail. Ask Tim or Karen for directions. The kids favourite church was at Much Marcle with the 1500 yr old yew tree.
If you have the energy you can walk or ride bikes to the closest church at Hatfield (about one mile) Hay-on-Wye is another good daytrip! We certainly didn't run out of things to do. We hope to camp there again soon.

Me and a small group of friends stayed at Nicholson Farm last weekend. The site is lovely - small but has a showers, toilets and washing up area.
There are lovely views over the fields, and we saw a hare one day! You can feed your food scraps to the chickens, it's fun watching them squabble over them!
You can buy fresh eggs and sausages from the farm too.
The King's Head pub down the road is a great pub - it has an outside pool table, which was fun! Its a very busy road to walk down though - we did fear for our lives!
All in all a great site and one I would definitely return to.

Second time we have been here and it is fantastic. Only spent 2 nights but what a lovely place. Me and the wife love it and the kids just happy as can be, even our 12 week old pup was really settled. We live in the sticks but it is just nice to come here and chill out.
Had some good fishing and a few good chats with tim and karen who are the nicest people you can wish to meet. Very well recommended and the sausages were great.

We would endorse the other reviews, but:
You need to like dogs
You need to like children running around a small camp site
You need to like small cramped not too clean toilets and showers.
On the other hand, Tim is great, the view is great, the sausages and eggs are brilliant.
Worth chancing it to see if you like it, but we'll not return.

Although weather was very wet and windy, we had a fantastic time. Our five children loved the space to run round in and loved playing ball with the farmers' dogs.
My children went and found freshly laid chicken eggs with the farmers supervision - they loved it!
The farm's own sausages and eggs are great, lovely taste (bought some to come home with too)
Plan to go again, but when the weather is a little warmer and dryer. Looking forward to some fishing too - fishing area is really eye catching to look at.
Toilet/shower blocks newly done = nice
Big sink with hot water to wash up in.
Recycling facilities for plastics etc.
Roads nice when driving in area - not narrow or too bendy. Shops are a short drive away, looks like nice pubs in area too but we didn't go in any though.
