A lovely site perched on the shore of Loch Ness as promised by it's name.
Warm welcome despite our lateish arrival, and as you expect from a well managed site a great description of the facilities and where to find everything.
The facilities block was clean, warm and well maintained.
All the essentials were available in the shop, and a great on site coffee van, who also did tasty takeaway treats of higher quality than you would normally get in these vans.
Directed to nice walks.
Reception also has table and chairs where you could browse using the free wifi.

We were made very welcome at this lovely site when we stayed for two nights. Very clean, and Lynn and Donald were very helpful.
Although there were a lot of other campers, it was very peaceful. The access roads are narrow, but have plenty of passing places.

Returned at the weekend from an exceptionally enjoyable 10 days here. The site is on two levels and we were on the upper level which gave us stunning views of the Loch sides and the weather rolling in and passing by. Sigh - miss looking out the ‘van windows at those vistas! Got a little windy on the upper level, but added to the ambiane!
Site is extremely well maintained and the staff are just lovely and very very friendly.
They can always be found out and about the site but never too busy to chat or help. The shop has some frozen ‘ready meals’ from the local butchers - we had the chilli which was delicious - as well as local and Scottish provisions, coffee and ice cream that is to die for (recommend the lemon meringue).
You can sit and watch the birds on the feeding stations or the activities on the Loch at the reception as well as using the free WiFi. The diner has tasty food especially good when you just can’t be bothered to cook yourself.
Already planning a return trip next year.

Stayed 2 nights, friendly and helpful staff, best campsite we have ever stayed at. Absolutely spotless, can't recommend highly enough. Run by Donald and his wife lynn, from short conversations with Donald he grew up here and it certainly shows how much he loves this place by the extreme efforts they put into the site to make it a perfect and tranquil place to stay. Thanks for all your help during our short stay and will be back next year
This site and location is quite simply amazing.

Stayed here two nights. Beautiful scenery, good shop and on site diner (we didn't try it). Facilities are immaculate and plenty of room. Great walks from site and easy access to beach. Warden very helpful. Pub one mile walk uphill - not overly friendly but we just had a drink.
Previous comments about access to site. We have a 7. 5mt motorhome. No issues, plenty of passing places and great view to enjoy the ride.

We arrived at this site having booked through our Camping and Caravanning Club membership. We arrived from Spean Bridge end in our large Motorhome with little trouble, there is about 5 miles of single track road but plenty of passing places.
On arrival there was a queue of caravans and Motorhomes waiting to get in, but we were met by one of the staff with a clipboard who checked we had booked and pointed us to reception where the staff although busy were very friendly and efficient. We were then told we would be shown the available pitches and were met outside by a pleasant lad who escorted us on his bike to the available pitches then pointed out all the facilities. We opted for a pitch on the upper level with better views. There was a small camping pod style toilet on the upper level with the main toilet shower block on the lower level. A few more showers would have been better. The toilets were clean and very new looking despite the site being very busy. The reception had a small shop and a nice seating area inside and out with free WI FI. There was also Kayak and boat hire available, although we had our own Kayak and the river and Loch adjacent to the site was excellent for this. The site was very dog friendly with plenty of good walks in the area. The Village of Foyers was up from the site which was a steep walk and the falls of Foyers was nearby which was beautiful and well worth a visit. We had lunch at the Waterfall Cafe which was very nice and good value. There was a small shop next to the cafe for provisions. Also nearby is Camerons farm shop and cafe. We had a bar meal at the Craigdarroch Inn nearby the site which was good. The site also had 2 playgrounds for children. There is a bus stop outside the site for buses every 2 hours to Inverness which took 50 minutes. I would highly recommend this site and would certainly return.

Really lovely site. Gorgeous views with its own little bay to launch a kayak from. Staff were brilliant and very friendly. Showers were nice and clean with modern toilets. Also had a couple of hair dryers if you need to dry your hair. Great location with some great walks from the camp site. The site allows dogs though and we found dog poo on our pitch - this is not the campsites fault but dog owners responsibility so just watch out.
You can also get a discount off food at the Lovat hotel (ask the camp staff for a voucher before you go). We took advantage of this offer one night and it was delicious! They also make food on site which is locally sourced which is also good.
Would definitely camp at this site again.

This is probably the best campsite we have ever been on in the UK.
The location is stunning, set actually on the Loch shore and with its own beach and landing area.
Access, despite being along B roads is not too bad. (Just take your time, you're on holiday!)
The reception is VERY friendly and professional. We were given a tour of the site and picked the pitch we wanted. Generally there is a choice of the lower field which is close to the reception/ shop and the amenity block, or the upper field with much better views over the loch.
The Amenity block is OUTSTANDING. It is very hard to believe that it is 5 years old. The whole block is immaculate and is cleaned twice daily, and the attention to detail is superb.
The shop and reception is well stocked with ice-cream and hot drinks also available along with numerous books, games, dvds etc to browse through and borrow. The staff are superb have a very definite 'CAN DO' attitude and nothing is too much trouble for them.
As a bonus there is a caravan diner adjacent to the reception which is open for breakfast (The bacon rolls are well worth the wait) and in the evening.
Finally, this is a brand new campsite in the middle of the beautiful highlands, and the environment is very important to the owners.
ALL the hot water on site and the underfloor heating in the amenities block is derived from ground water heat recovery. All water comes from the on-site borehole and solar panels do there best in the North of Scotland!

Fantastic, welcoming, quiet site with excellent local produce shop, catering Airstream for breakfasts/evenings and great scenery.
What a well run franchised site in magnificent surroundings with a range of activities available. Don't rush the access from Fort Augustus and you'll have no problem - just look for passing places.
On site the welcome is knowledgeable, helpful and enthusiastic with flexibility to choose your pitch. Sheltered lower level near the modern facilities block or on an upper level with views over the Loch.
We didn't see a monster but there were authoritative reports of its existence! Access is available to the water with various hire options and there is a good variety of walking trails locally with the possibility of seeing some rare wildlife.
The journey is well worth it and we will be returning for future visits. 10/10.

We were a bit worried about visiting this site due to the B Roads up the 'quiet' side of Loch Ness. However the roads are actually very good and did not represent any problem whatsoever for our 7. 15 m Motorhome. Believe me it is well worth it! The site itself is spacious and as it says on the tin it IS on the shores of Loch Ness with direct access to the Loch. We were warmly welcomed ( I don't know why as we had booked, cancelled, re booked and turned up on another day without prior notice. No problem). We were offered a choice of pitches and helped in the set up by Donald.
The reception area is modern and welcoming with a seating area, coffee machine, shop and free wi-fi access (fibre optic is on its way). There are also electric bicycles for hire and boats and fishing in the summer.
All the above are as good as any we have seen in 40 odd years of caravanning / motorhoming but the toilet/shower/wash up block IS the BEST we have ever seen. We do not usually use the site facilities but normally have a 'butchers' all the same. We were so impressed with the the clean, modern, stylish easy to use facilities that we actually used them!
The best site we have ever been on.
