The site if fairly new, think they said open just over a year. Already the landscaping and grass areas are becoming established but give it time and it will look even better.
The franchisees and wardens were absolutely brilliant, friendly and helpful with nothing too much trouble. There was a problem with the hot water and they could not have been more apologetic but they did keep everyone fully informed with updates posted in the facilities.
The pitches are large and spacious, we had a water tap on the ehu post right on our pitch, there is also a good motorohome service point at the entrance. As others have said the shop is fairly amazing, really well stocked.
Just a few steps from the campsite and you are on Loch Ness. There is a small pebble beach in front of the reception area and from there its possible to walks in several directions. We found the site and the area to be really peaceful with the most incredible views.
Would recommend this site - the drive over is awesome, the roads have been widened recently and its not too scary but the views are just incredible.

As per the previous reviews you really can't fault this campsite. It's well laid out, spacious pitches, very friendly wardens and an exceptionally well stocked shop. The toilet & shower facilities are brand new and kept immaculate. Most pitches have partial views of Loch Ness through the trees the better ones seemed to be the super pitches on the upper level which are more expensive ! There is a 'no arrivals before 1400 hours' rule, which is very justifiable as the approach roads are single track for 15 miles or so in both directions and very steep (but with amazing views) if approaching from the Fort William direction ! There is a small pub about 20 minutes walk up the hill in Lower Foyers ! We did keep an eye out but unfortunately did not see Nessie during our stay so we will return to try again !

We arrived at Loch Ness Shores after an extremely long and eventful drive (30ft Motorhome towing a smart car on a trailer) from Coniston Water. We were shattered and a bit frazzled when we got there but thanks to encouraging phone conversations with Collette en-route we knew our late arrival wasn't going to be a problem. We were made extremely welcome by Lyn and Donald (who commented that we had bought our house with us). Donald let us pick our pitch and when we mentioned that we had problems at Coniston with the hook up being too far away for our built in cable, Donald kindly said if it didn't reach he would lend us one. As it was, he pitched us on a pitch with hook up right behind plus a fresh water tap which was really great. He came to check on us after a little while to check we were OK. Lyn kindly got bread rolls from the freezer for me so that I didn't have to worry about cooking that night. The shower and toilet block is superb and spotlessly clean and the shop is great with good quality local produce. There are plenty of information leaflets on the area too. The views are up just stunning with fantastic walks around the lake. All in all, a fantastic stay which we increased from 4 to 6 days and we only wish we could have stayed longer. We will be visiting again in a May next year.

This is a lovely site with top class facilities. The owners are more than helpful and friendly and the pitches are well spaced and pretty much level. Shop stocked with good local produce and opening times from 8 am till 10 pm very useful. Note though that if booking through the club web site you may find that it shows the site is full. Always phone as this can not be relied upon. On my visit the site was only half full but the C&CC web site showed no vacancies. Highly recommended.

We booked on the day of arrival. As we are not ccc members it is quite expensive. The roads into the site are narrow and windy but hey ho.
The managers and owners are friendly and helpful and bend over backwards to please. The shop was amazing as far as site shops go. They had top end products and local butcher products. What an amazing shop.
The facilities were fantastic as previously mentioned.
We will go back in autumn / winter as it was too busy for us at the end of July.
I would recommend this site to anyone visiting loch ness and we will return later this year.
Ps. The male manager is one of the nicest, friendliest caravan site managers we have ever met.
Keep up the good work.

What's not to like. Lovely site, lovely people and stunning views. To me even the journey to the site worth it, due to the scenery. As said in previous reviews facilities are new so are fantastic and very very clean and I am sure will struggle to find better.
As owners of 2 large dogs we are always keen to find sites that can accommodate their needs too so we were delighted to find that not only were there ample walks for us to go on, the local pub was also very welcoming too. This is something we very rarely find unless they have a beer garden.
There is a shop for some essentials, but be mindful that it isn't perfect if you need lots as it could be expensive and limited. But there maybe other shops nearby, to be honest I didn't enquire. As we don't have kids I can only comment that the kids on site seemed to be having a ball.
But all and all, a site I will definitely be visiting again, next time with friends. Something I have ever said before as We want want to try and visit and experience many as we can.

My wife and I and our three little dogs had a week here in may this year and we found it delighful. The site is on two tiers and Mark the Warden gave us a choice of where we wanted to pitch.
We chose the upper tier with hookup and hardstanding and with a small porch awning and views of the Loch we felt it was ideal. There is a nice dog walk area which is handy. The Wardens, Donald and Lyn and Mark and Colette were superb in every way. So helpful and knowledgeable and stopped for a chat when passing. Donald and Lyn are locals so are a mine of information. The toilet block is very up to date with ground pumps, solar and the latest technology. This gives underfloor heating and warmth in the building which is kept immaculate. We use Old Oaks at Glastonbury as the standard bearer for all the sites we visit as we think it is the cleanest, friendliest and well run site and shop in the Uk. We give them 10 out of ten. Well now in our opinion Loch Ness is on a par with this. There is the Craigdarroch Hotel at the top of the hill with good value meals and excellent Ales and the Whitebridge Hotel is only a couple of miles away. A walk to Foyer Falls is a must, so picturesque and when you reach the top there is a Post office and shop and they also do very tasty meals. The place is so peaceful because it is on the quieter side of the Loch and yet Inverness is only about 16 miles up the road which is a great city and tops for shopping and visiting places of interest. Donald you are to be congratulated on the development and now that it is C AND CC site it is very inexpensive for such a treat. Yes, god willing we will be back to see this beautiful site with views to the snow capped mountains over the Loch.

What a lovely site be warned narrow windy road to site but well worth it set on the side of Loch Ness (had a wee paddle). The fantastic and helpful staff greeted us with offers of a coffee as we arrived before 2 o'clock oops. The facilities are second to none with shower rooms complete with loo and basin, or just shower rooms on their own, privacy cubicles and plenty of loos. Good laundry and hanging lines. Site on two levels we chose the lower level. Shop on site with all you need paper and morning rolls could be ordered, fridges and freezers for ice blocks etc and coffee machine (coin operated) and cakes could be purchased, tables and chairs books and games on loan, fishing and boat trips could be arranged. Uphill walk to shop, cafe, water fall and pub not for the oldies of us but a bus can take you part of the way (bus stop at gate of site to Inverness or Fort Augustus ) Great Holiday, thank you to gentleman that gave me a lift to Shops and staff that took my husband to the pub and the complete stranger that took us back to the site.

An excellent site, we initially booked in for 1 week and extended our stay for 3 weeks. Special thanks to Donald and Lynn, Mark and Colette for being the perfect hosts, well done for running such a friendly and welcoming site. We shall certainly be making a return visit.
Everything has been well thought out. Pitches are generously spaced and flat. The toilets and showers are excellent and kept very clean, with good disabled facilities, washing up areas, and laundry room. The site office has a seating area, and a shop selling the basics.
Adults will appreciate the views over the loch and the lovely walks from the site, including a dog walk, and children will enjoy the wooden fort type play area.
We did not use the WI-FI service but it is available via Highland WI-FI which requires payment direct by card or PayPal.
