Great site with very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff, Facilities were excellent, clean and hard to fault. Used hook up. Great site for Loch Ness, cycling on the N78 cycle route. Arrived late but staff were great and helped loan me a hook up extension lead. Site on loch side at bottom of a hill. Camerons Tea Rooms well worth a visit along with local waterfall

We stayed here for 1 night, but we wish it could have been longer! We absolutely loved this campsite. All the facilities are extremely modern and the bathrooms and showers were immaculate.
We met Donald who greeted us with a warm welcome and made us feel at home straight away. He was so kind and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.
We can't recommend this place enough. Admittedly we were here in the winter but can imagine that it is even more magical in the summer. The views are stunning, and we were lucky enough to have had a clear night so got to see more stars than we ever have before!
An absolutely perfect stay, we hope to stay again someday!

Although listed as a C&CC site this is privately owned associated site. We first realised this when visiting the toilets and showers - not only spotlessly clean but modern and to a very high equipment standard compared with all other C&CC sites we’ve visited. The reception area is very good, with a supply of basics and local produce as well as maps, tourist information etc. A coffee shop facility is also included and for hot meals there’s a take-away caravan serving burgers, kebabs and breakfasts amongst other things. The C&CC wi-fi system isn’t accepted here.
The pitches are well-spaced but lack any shrubbery or trees to divide up the site. There are two levels, with the lower one closer to the Loch and facilities whereas the upper area may have slightly better views. The whole campsite is, however, beautifully located. The dog-walk is basically a track through the loch-side shrubbery and is not fenced so free-spirited dogs need to be kept on the lead to prevent them running off into the site or diving into the Loch. Midges weren’t a problem during our stay here (Loch Lomond had been terrible).
There are plenty of good walks along and away from the loch, with a pub, a café and shop uphill in Foyers. It’s on the ‘wrong’ side of Loch Ness for some of the sightseeing opportunities in this part of the Highlands but we were aware of this and enjoyed our stay here for what it is and highly recommend the site. A huge benefit of the location is peace and quiet, with no road of any significance nearby.

All in all a nice campsite.
If your after seclusion/remoteness then this is the site for you.
Although the Loch can be reached from the campsite, It is only a small pebbly beach with a small jetty for the hire boats which I never saw been used once (many enquiries but the cost was very restrictive)
Clean and modern.
Nice staff.
We would visit again but probably only for a few days as its a good 35 mile round trip to the nearest town.
But if your after remoteness/peace and quite to get away from it all, then this could be a very good choice.

First visit to a Camping and Caravan site. Very impressed, site looked very busy as we drew in but due to the lay out did not feel so.
Staff were very helpful and made sure that we were settled on our plot. Pointed out all the facilities and advised us of things to do in the location.
Toilet block, laundry, chemical loo disposal and motor home service point were all clean. Lovely showers loads of hot water and plenty of room.
Play area and field for kids to play on.
Only downside, which was beyond the site's control, was an outbreak of blue-green algae on the dog walk. However there were signs warning of the danger and the area was taped off.
Beautiful location with views across Loch Ness (no signs of Nessie).
Wished we'd stayed for longer.

My wife and I have been touring for about 8 years, we have often asked which is the best site we have been to but have struggled to answer, till now! What a gem of a site cannot fault any part of it. From arriving to leaving nothing to complain about. Lynn & Donald the most helpful and friendly wardens you could wish to meet Site spotless, facilities excellent, views incredible. Ideal for those who like walking or those who just enjoy relaxing. Don't hesitate you won't be disappointed. We will certainly return.

Lovely site, lovely spot, very helpful and friendly staff.
Facilities are as others have stated, modern, clean and spacious. Reception / shop /café area great too, coffee machine with sitting areas inside and out. The Airstream is now up and running. Fabulous kebabs, served with lots of trimmings, very tasty. Wished we'd been staying longer to work our way through the menu!. Also does breakfast rolls, a wee treat for us.
Village is a very steep walk up, which is great on the way back. Café, shop and pub all good, everyone here was very friendly.

We had two nights at this large and well organised site. It is on two levels, the lower is more sheltered, the upper has good views of the loch and can be more windy. (An understatement!) Although I think grass non ehu pitches we booked were sited quite a way from the facilities, as the site was not full we were allowed what was technically an ehu, which was closer to the excellent facilities block. Clean, warm, more than adequate and no coins needed! Very friendly reception area with small but remarkably well stocked shop, ice cream and coffees. Plenty to do without moving the van, lovely walks, village pub and shop and waterfalls.

Donald and Lyn are excellent hosts. When we arrived on Christmas Eve they immediately invited us to a party they had arranged for their guests, family and friends. They did the same on Boxing Day and both were lovely ways of meeting people and enjoying some bonhomie away from home. Unfortunately we missed the Ceilidh they had organised for Hogmanay as we had to head off.
The site is well organised, with level hardstanding pitches (with hook up) lower down (more sheltered) and higher up (even better views of the loch but more exposed in windy weather), excellent facilities - toilets, shower rooms (and no clingy, whiffy shower curtains!), very clean, plenty of hot water (no push buttons on showers), 3 types of energy for eco-friendliness.
We went on just one of several walks around the area and were blown away by the beauty and tranquillity. We would have done more if we were staying for longer. A beautiful location with a nearby village (including shop).
This site is genuinely fully open all year round, with an excellent shop stocking a wide range of locally-sourced fresh and store cupboard produce including milk, eggs, meat and prepared foods.

Our 2nd visit to this wonderful site. We would not normally stay in large sites such as this but Loch Ness Shores is in such a great place and has its own access to Loch Ness - a real bonus, especially with the motor boats for hire. The reception and shower block are very high quality and kept nicely. The site has everything you would expect to find at a C&CC site but has the added benefit of location, location, location. The South Loch Ness trail is nearby, the Craigdarroch pub is warm and welcoming (although we didn't rate the food particularly highly), the Waterfall Cafe is great value. We didn't get round to trying Camerons farm shop and cafe but heard good reports. The owners intend to have an on-site airstream cafe up and running some time 2016 so there's quite a bit of choice for a small village. Fort Augustus well worth a visit. Only an hour to drive to Fort William. The owners can't do enough to help, all-in-all a great place to spend time. Don't use SatNav, it can't cope. The road is a little narrow but there are loads of passing places.
