Excellent site, staff so friendly & helpful. Really well laid out and stunning views over Loch Ness, would definitely visit again and stay longer. Facilities are 5*, very clean and everything has been thought of.
We walked up to the pub on top of the hill, great views and good beer, didn't eat there though. Did a boat trip from the bottom of the Loch, well worth it and lovely little village.

Lovely site. Lovely welcome. Very relaxed. Toilets and showers were all excellent. Site shop good with free wi fi. Views from the loch shore are stunning. It is said that the pub is a 20 minute walk but it is a very steep hill(as is the walk up to the falls) so be prepared to take your time. My only slight disappointment is that there are very few pitches where you have a view of the loch due to the trees along the shore.

We were met by members of the staff at reception who were most helpful and pleasant. This camp is a nice camp, as they say, one of the few who has access to the waterside of Loch Ness. The reception area is very good, the shop is ok and provides most immediate needs. The shower and toilet facilities are excellent and there is a dog walk behind reception down on the shores of Loch Ness. From here you can catch a bus 10 minutes walk away to inverness, if you have a car Fort Augustus is approx. 15 miles away and Castle Urquhart is another 15 miles the other side of the Loch. Foyers Falls is well worth a visit and is approx 1 mile from the camp. Ask for directions at reception. Wi Fi is free in the reception area or you can purchase independently from a local provider should you wish to access in the privacy of your own caravan/camper. Shower and toilet block is exceptional and the whole feel of the camp is very good, something a bit extra special. The road down to the camp is a bit windy and narrow if you have a large caravan or r. V. , but we had a 25 foot long and 7ft wide r. V. And coped with it fine. Views from here are indescribable and well worth the journey. I booked this camp from pictures on the internet, and I have not been disappointed, and I don't think you will be either !

This was one of the best campsites I have been to and I've been to many over the years! The pitch was level and we managed fine with normal pegs. There was also plenty of room for our huge family tent and our party of six people. There weren't too many midges around and the site location is really good, just a couple of mins from the loch shore. The site shop is also really good, the most popular items we bought were the sausages and the Selkirk bannoch cake which is to die for! Addicted to it now! Once again, thanks for ensuring we had a great holiday!

Great new campsite with helpful staff. Being on the Loch is fabulous and unique as had a great time out on a hired Karak (first time in a decade). Reception area very welcoming and spacious. Free WiFi at Reception a little flakey and external service expensive. Water pressure in toilet block adequate probably due to the Eco side of things. Site and amenities blocks excellent. Great Hotel, Craigdarrach at top of hill friendly, inexpensive and serves great food and beer a surprise as captive audience. Access route narrow by by no means difficult. Site quite open and aching demarcation on the upper section but this should improve in time. No opinion on local shop and playground looks fine. Reception shop has lots of smart refrigerated units. Nearby trailer tenter complained of boggy pitch which we found a surprise. Would definitely go back

Excellent site and location. On the south shore of the loch. Very good facilities, modern and kept very clean. There is a small shop on site where they can also order fresh bread rolls and newspapers for the following morning. One of the best sites we have stayed on. As mentioned in another review, the walk to the falls is well worth it and there is a shop and cafe up at the top of the falls. We stayed here two nights on a tour and will stay here again on the next trip in this area.

Stayed here for 1 night ( had we known how fabulous it was would had stayed longer but our travel plans didn't allow us to) met on reception by Donald and Lynn who made us feel at home, did the paperwork and Donald showed us to our pitch, putting us at an angle which gave us an amazing view of Loch Ness. The showers and toilets were immaculate as were the grounds ( Donald was busy on his sit on mower whilst we were there) in the morning whilst getting ready to go, Donald came over to say goodbye and that he hoped to see us again, would thoroughly recommend.

We have just returned from a two night stay at this site, and have to say its absolutely stunning, the journey for us totalled over 700miles, but it was so worth it.
We were met by Donald the owner of the site along with Lyn, with a shake of the hand and a pleasant welcome, the initial view of the site was very nice, well kept and tidy, and a good mix of Campervans, motorhomes and tents. The reception area was again, very clean and tidy, with a seating area with plenty of books and flyers for things to do, and a lovely view of Loch Ness. Now at this point I mentioned, that I was the person who had emailed before our arrival, to ask them for a little favour.
It was our second wedding anniversary on the saturday of our visit, and I emailed to ask if they wouldn't mind organising a bunch of flowers for my wife, and I would pay for them when I arrived, they couldn't have been more delighted to assits, and they had a lovely bunch of flowers made up.
After paying, Donald showed me where we could park, and escorted us to the location, and gave us tips on the best vantage points, offered us assistance and left us to set up.
Facilities are fantastic, cleaned daily, and have showers with a tap, rather than fumbling, with soap filled eyes, for the push button.
Dog walking area, was lovely to walk along, absolutley no mess anywhere, and it runs along one of the Lochs feeder rivers, this then opens out to a lovely view point of the Loch, with an area to have a fire pit.
The walk along the Loch edge was a highlight for us, plenty of places for controlled fire pits, and a lovely area to sit if doing the canoe trail, with toilet, safe canoe storage and waterside camping.
All in all cant rate this site enough, Good Job Loch Ness Shores. 10/10
