This was our first visit to this site. It was very quiet when we were there - the week before Easter but the Scottish schools break up a week later than the English schools which was great for us! The site is very open and pitches are well spaced. We were shown to our pitch by very friendly wardens. We had been able to change to a serviced pitch which had great views of the Loch. The site is actually situated right on Loch Ness
The toilet and shower block was very clean and there were adequate numbers of both. There is also a children's play area.
There were lovely walks right from the site. Great if you are there with dogs as we were. Directions and maps are available to buy for a small charge in the shop/reception.
The Falls of Foyer are certainly worth the 30 minute walk up to them. Close to the Falls is the village shop and a lovely cafe.
This is a site that we would be very happy to visit again in the future

Should have written this long time ago but !
One of the best sites we have been on over many years of touring Welcome so warm and knowledgeable about everything about the area and its history. Early in season but a number of units on site. People have obviously heard of site !
Will be back ! Cannot praise the place and the hosts enough.

Arrived Wednesday afternoon, about 1200. As the site did not allow access until 1400, we left the tourer at the sire and drove to Inverness for a while.
At the correct time we were escorted to our pitch and were offered assistance if required.
Serviced site for us (by choice) at the top of the raised area of the site area, next to children's play park so that child had easy access.
The site is extremely well maintained, the staff helpful and friendly and the location is stunning. Right on the shores of the Loch first. Local walks abound and a great little trip to the local village store can be achieved by a walk up past Foyers Falls, should you so desire. The Falls are stunning.
Fort Augustus and Inverness are about 20-30 mins drive away along single track roads. So be careful.
Ablutions were first rate for cleanliness, modernity, quantity and access. Small adequate laundry area, which may lead to queueing during busy summer period. Plate was areas were great.
The on-site-shop was a tad of a let down. No washing liquid, alcohol, ice-creams. Lots of jams/preserves etc. I presume this is due to the time of year, however it was over the school Easter break, so.
Overall we had a great stay and would recommend this to all our friends. We will be returning very soon.

Having visited many sites over the last few years this has to be one of the best. The facilities were superb. The site is well laid out with plenty of room between the pitches. The views were stunning. We have a very energetic cocker spaniel so are always looking for sites with plenty of decent walks and this site provides these in abundance. Another bonus is the local pub allowing dogs into the bar although the weather was great so we sat out in the beer garden.
The owners and staff very pleasant and made us very welcome.
We're already planning our next trip back to this site and weather permitting intend to spend our new year here as well.

We stayed at Foyers for 2 nights just after xmas we had a great time, Foyers is a interesting place not over run by tourists the roads are quiet ideal for running, walking or cycling. The camp site was excellent with great showers & toilets they were very clean, the owners were also very nice & helpful, its also good for canoeists with its own landing & pebble beach on the site.

Spent a night at this lovely site in September and returned for Xmas. Quiet location with great views. Spacious pitches. Picnic tables and shelters scattered round site. Warm, spotless toilet block. Good washing up facilities and laundry. Small well stocked shop in main building. Village shop uphill from the site. Main reception building also has an information area with tables and chairs. Coffee machine and also a small kitchen. Staff really helpful and welcoming. Pub serving good bar food also uphill from site.
Recommend and will be back

This is my third visit and I will return for Christmas and New Year.
It is by far the best site I have stayed in Scotland.
The toilets are immaculate.
The scenery is amazing with superb picturesque walks in all directions.
Lyn and Donald who own the site can't do enough for you. Nothing is too much trouble.
There is wildlife in abundance. There are otters in the river, wild goats in the area, roe deer roaming and a wide selection of birds.
Anyone visiting Scotland must make a visit.

Excellent site. All facilities in excellent order. Trees growing well. Local pub very good. Shop nearby up steep hill and coffee shop with food attached. Excellent walks level and hilly. Right on Loch Ness. You can swim too and lots of paddling. Open site with friendly Managers. There is a shop with local produce on site. We have been twice now and really like this site. There is also a super children's play area. Hard standing and also grass sites available. The dog walk is close by and wooded so sheltered if wet.

My other half and I visited for, unfortunately, one night only. We arrived late and were quite lost on the way. We were saved however by the really helpful directions from donald & lyn(these guys seem to have extensive local knowledge) given to us during a panicy phone call. When we finally arrived we were met by donald, who immediately got us in and settled for the evening. Wow! we didn't see the previous night how beautiful the surrounding area was. Magnificent!we met lyn the following day, who proved to be a lovely and very helpful lady. I was pleased to see a fairly well stocked shop, for the time of year, considering our previous stop stocked nothing at all. The facilities were second to none and hygiene and cleanliness is obviously at the forefront of the running of the site. Only 20 yards behind the shop are the shores of the loch. Amazing! we would stay there again at the drop of a hat. Nothing is too much trouble to make your stay enjoyable. A real gem. A real pleasure.

Our third visit here in six weeks. I am not quite sure how Donald does it but the weather gets better each time.
Always a warm welcome at Loch Ness Shores and I feel relaxed as soon as I get there. There are no 'you must not' signs anywhere and Donald, Lynn and the staff are always ready to help and have a chat.
The facilities are as always first class. This weekend a water heating problem caused a few murmurs from some people who would not be happy no matter what. Prominent notices explained the issues and advised on the best time to ensure hot water. Not a problem in my book. The fact that the site was two thirds full at this time of year tells it's own story. I suspect we will manage a few more visits this year yet.
