Had a lovely four nights here in early July. The pitch was on quite a slope, which was inevitable so that as many people as possible had a pitch on the edge of the site, and a small price to pay for the amazing view - getting out of the tent each morning to see Three Cliffs Bay spread out below, and to see the mooon over it at night. The site was very quiet, and people friendly. The on site shop provided essentials and newspaper ordering, but might have offered a weather forecast as well for those without smart phones! Showers were hot and clean, ditto washing up facilities. The nearest pub seemed further away than indicated so we cooked/ate in every night looking at the view. Three Cliffs Bay itself was an easy short walk down the hill. Lovely area to spend a few days in - some very unspoilt beaches and cliff walks.

We stayed here for one night in June. As the other reviewer has siad there are 2 fields - one flat with no view and the other rather hilly with great views over the coast and sea. We were situated up the top and to the rear of the field which was probably a blessing as it was very windy when we stayed and we were slightly sheltered by the other tents. Toilets and showers were great and the shop stocked all of the essentials plus had a coffee shop on site too. Ventured down to the beach which was great. The tide was out when we went down which means you can see the river meandering across it. Lots of rocks and caves to explore. We then walked the long way back along the river which is a bit of a trek but worth it! We also ventured out to the King Arthur Hotel for dinner which was fab and then walked from the campsite to The Gower Inn. I think it takes longer than the stated 20 minutes and also make sure you wear sensible footwear and take a torch if your coming back when the suns going down. It was lovely but we thought the charge per night was a bit too much

We visited the Three Cliffs Bay with friends and though we were warned that an adjacent pitch couldn't be guaranteed we did get one.
The site has two camping areas, one on a flat field with not a lot of view, this is the one we wanted as we aren't seasoned campers and wanted a 'flat' night, and the other on a sloping field (some would call it a hill!) which is the one we got.
Thank you to the site warden who directed us up to the top of the slope as this was a great choice - the views are spectacular and I managed to work off a few pounds walking back and forth to the very clean toilet/shower block at the foot of the slope.
We found the walk down to the beach a little challenging but once we landed we were presented with a near-empty golden beach where we walked for a couple of hours before the water forced us back up the hill.
Access to this beach is much easier at the other end of the bay at Oxwitch, however the parking charge is a little expensive.
All in all the site was great and we will definitely return.

We stopped here for a couple of nights shortly after Easter and it's a lovely site.
We pitched up right on the edge overlooking the bay and it's just a fantastic place to sit and watch the world from. It can get a bit blowy up there though so worth considering if you want to pitch right on the edge or somewhere else in the field where you won't get quite so knocked about if the weather turns (as it did for us).
Facilities are great. Toilets and showers were warm and dry and always clean and well stocked. The newly built shop and reception was a very useful and the staff were excellent. They seem to be almost as avid users of Twitter as we are and were clearly following our stay from the comfort of their shop!
All in all it's a fantastic site with good clean facilities. It's a little pricey but, in good weather at least, tbe view is worth it

Chose this site because of the famous view and was not disappointed-it was stunning. Everything else about my early season stay was perfect; a brand new reception and shop, lovely clean and spacious facilities, extremely helpful, friendly wardens, ( who were ready to help with anything and seemed to work from dawn to dusk and even on their supposed day off), a dedicated dog exercise area with a lovely view and all in a beautiful area with wonderful walks and nearby beaches. It is worth noting that the camping field is on quite a slope so be prepared to sleep 'head up, feet down' and though with plenty of space for free play I saw no special facilities for children.

Feel thoroughly recharged after a days stopover here. Arrived to a pitch with an awe inspiring view. One of the best if not the best of any campsite we have been to over years of camping. Staff helpful and friendly from the off we took a trek down to the beach below to work up an appetite before undertaking the walk to the dog friendly local pub the gower inn for a cheap n cheerful meal.
The majority of the walk to the pub is through woods and fine but the last stretch is along main rd with no footpaths. Hairy in the dark on our walk back even with torches.
Great facilities all clean and immaculate but nowhere to put your clothes once in the shower.
Worth visiting for the view alone just a shame its not open in the winter.

We were lucky and were given a pitch with the most amazing view of the bay, making it worth the relatively high price.
The staff were friendly and the wardens do run a tight ship. It was very quiet at night and the grass was mown regularly (they unplug the power cables and plug in again afterwards).
Shower water was a good temperature but feeble in power and you did have to keep pressing the button. Showers and toilets were kept clean.
There was quite a good stock of basics in the shop and delicious ice cream.
There is a dog walk area which also has the splendid view. You can walk down to the beach via the steep slope at the edge of the camping area of the site but you need to be agile, or you can take a longer but more gentle route just outside the site.
The bay is perfect with clean sand, rock pools, cliff walks to neighbouring beaches or the Three Cliffs themselves, and a lagoon at high tide.
We dined outside twice at The Oxwich Bay Hotel which was quite expensive for drinks and essentially 'pub grub' but has a wonderful view of that bay.

This is a professionally run site which is clean and well kept. The shop has plenty but is small. The site itself is nearly all on a slope, so beware. Some tents were on a hill with a steep slope - we wondered how they slept without falling out their tents! There is a flatter field for campers though, so I recommend you ask to go in that. The toilet blocks were always being cleaned which was good. The showers weren't great but did the job (Irritating push buttons which didn't work well). The views down on to the bay are wonderful and also to the fields inland too. Walking down to the beach is fine for the fit. Anyone with a disability or with pushchairs would find it a struggle. The beach is lovely (lots of small jellyfish this summer though) but is not manned by lifeguards (don't be put off - the air ambulance landed there one day with no trouble, which means if you really need them, they can help you). That said, we were all in the sea most days and had a wonderful time. I would recommend going here if you are fully fit and enjoy the great outdoors, completely unspoilt.

This site is quite simply in a superb setting, on the edge of a cliff looking down to a really spectacular bay. That in itself is a good reason to come here. However the site is also lovely and well run, with friendly office/shop staff, and really great wardens who are helpful and watchful.
The fields are a little sloping in places and in busy times, you will be told where to pitch, so there is not really any choice about where you will be positioned. However, there is plenty of space left between tents and it never felt over crowded, even though it was fully booked when we were there.
The site is very family friendly, with plenty of children and dogs running around, plus numerous overseas campers. Overall a good atmosphere and quiet at night, apart from one particularly large and thoughtless group making lots of noise one night, but the wardens made sure this did not happen night after night.
Showers and washing up water is free, and there is one hairdryer in the ladies, plus a power point if you want to use your own (although this was usually hogged by teenagers charging up their iphones!). There is a laundry room too with two washers and two dryers.
The walk down to the bay/beach is well worth it but very steep and uneven - you will need sturdy shoes and plenty of energy for the return journey. But when you get down there, it is rarely crowded, as most of the lazier or less mobile people will go to Oxwich bay where you can park just behind the beach.
Otherwise you can walk to the Heritage Centre nearby or possibly to a pub or two if you are feeling energetic.
This is a really lovely site - perfect in the sunshine, and I look forward to returning next year.

I am from this area (Swansea) and love the Gower. Don't live there now, so decided to visit with new caravan and visit our Swansea based family during our holiday break.
Views are the best in the country, however the site is basic and has poor access for caravans.
Access via Park Mill, past the Gower Inn. Very tight with a caravan and would advise to avoid or use alternative route via Reynoldstone. This will save a few grey hairs, its a simple route with good views of the Gower at the top just before Reynoldstone, then you take the first left and follow to main road, and then left again. Pass Oxwich turn (on Right) until you see the Three Cliffs site on your right.
Entering and leaving with a Caravan is a little bit tricky, especially if another caravan is exiting whilst you are trying to enter or leave. We used our kids walkie talkies to negotiate this hazard. Mrs went up front to see if the way was clear then she would call me forward. Worked especially well on our exit to avoid running into others coming in.
Site has fantastic views and great walks. Beach access from the site is uneven and only the fit and able should really attempt this walk. My Wife of 46 struggled but we did it, and only completed it once with the kids, very much worth it to swim in the warm river.
Shop and staff very friendly. Wardens very friendly but a little obstructive about awning, however not worthy to mention.
Toilets very average but clean. Showers very basic with poor flow with those push button systems which only last 20 seconds. Family room used and we found it very good.
Drawn Fresh water tasted very chemically and we had to buy water from town to get a nice cuppa.
Price of site is expensive compared to other sites with far more facilities but not the view of 3 Cliffs, that's what you pay for.
Site was clean and tidy, pitches are uneven and in areas have hardstanding which are uneven and difficult to peg an awning on.
I would say great time, hairy access to enter and leave, showers are basic, views to die for, location great and worth at least one trip to see for yourself.
