This site is in a really great location. Spectacular views and the bay just keep on giving. There's an old ruined castle, the cows come out on the the beach a couple of times a day. There is a stepping stone bridge, an archway through the cliffs, more sand that anyone could build in to a castle and little bays that get cut off by the tide (watch out for that!). The site it's self if fairly run of the mill clean, reasonable showers and wash facilities, but the location really make this site. A short walk down a bridle way takes you to a local shop with most essentials. Watch out for the weather though. The front field is very exposed, everyone clamorous for the view, but when the weather turns it gets a battering from the sea breeze.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this campsite and have to say it was wonderful. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff who were more than happy to find us the pitch that suited us best. We were initially offered a space on the sloping front field which overlooked the stunning bay but seeing as this was our first camping trip in 20 years we chose a pitch in the lower field which provided more shelter and was flat.
The toilet block is located at the centre of the site so is within easy reach of the entire campsite. The facilities were kept immaculately clean and there were plenty of toilets, sinks and showers. We did have to queue for a very short time for both showers and washing up facilities at peak times of the day but considering it was peak season this was completely understandable and expected. The showers were free to use and always warm.
The campsite shop was well stocked and they provided an ice block rental service (a returnable £1 deposit per block and 30p per block rental). There was no facility to freeze your own ice blocks however.
The beach at Three Cliffs Bay was simply stunning and worth the trip to the Gower alone. The path down to the beach is not for the timid; quite steep and rather rocky, but worth it. Getting back up was tiring, but certainly good exercise!
The nearest pub, the Gower Inn, is 1. 3 miles away and offers no-frills good value food, Sky Sports and the staff are very friendly. If you are after a more refined dining experience perhaps try the King Arthur about 4 miles away but you may need to book as it is extremely popular.
All in all we had a fantastic stay at the site and would definitely return again.

Just been to this campsite and had a great time, despite the weather not being brilliant.
There are two areas you can camp, we ended up in the lower field as this was less exposed to the winds. The field was in great condition for putting in tent pegs and wasn't stoney. The other field was located on a hill, which overlooked the bay - it was mainly caravans in this field partly I think because the weather was stormy and the gradient on the hill was fairly steep.
The showers, toilets and facilities were in brilliant order, despite it being a fairly large site. The showers were always hot and there were enough showers that there was never a queue. Freezer blocks were available from the shop, you needed to buy frozen ones rather than put your own in a freezer. They also had a place you could do your washing if you needed.
It was located really close to the beach which was perfect, with spectacular views and walks. Its also near to some nice pubs, the Gower inn had lots of screens up to watch football which was good for sports fans.
We were disappointed by one of the wardens who was rude to us after we had misunderstood his fire guidance for how far apart tents needed to be. It was a busy period, but I would have expected better customer service. Perhaps some customer service training is required. However, all of the other staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful, with a well stocked shop and advice about the best walks and local facilities.

Really lovely views of the coast.
Pitches are pretty level although the field does slope.
The showers are 20p and are clean and warm.
Small shop and fresh produce in the reception area, also pick your own fruit when we visited.
Really good location too for visiting the gower with pubs and chip shops a short drive away.
The only down side is the entrance and exit to the site as its really steep and onto a busy country road.
I would highly recommend this site and hope to visit again soon.

Spent 3 nights at this site. Its great and cant wait to go again. Its the location that is the best. What a view and after a 15 min walk you are on one of the best locations in Britain! The walk is a bit of a trek but well worth it.
Showers (hot), and facilities clean tidy no problems. We didn't need to move from the site. Kids played around tent and went to the beach. The site has its sloped areas but for the EHU these are flat(ish) and OK. Wardens were great and happy. Water for the shower was not hot the once. Informed the warden and this all was sorted, piping hot!

My girlfriend and I have just returned after 4 nights on this site and what can I say - what a fantastic place!
The views are out of this world, the site is spotlessly clean, and there is so much to do around and about!
Ian & Elly the wardens are really friendly and helpful, providing daily weather forecasts on request and passing on info about the local area.
The tent pitches overlooking the bay are on a slope, but it's a price worth paying, and for those wanting a flatter pitch there is a field at the back of the site.
The showers are also now free so no messing about with tokens.
There is a friendly pub nearby offering good value pub food and it also has sky sports in the back room so you can keep up on the games!
Although a near 5 hour drive from our home we will definitely be returning!

Great location, was pitched with a lovely view of three cliffs bay. Was only a ten minute walk down to the beach, plenty of places to explore in the surrounding area.
The campsite is a short distance from a newsagents/cafe and the gower inn pub. The on-site shop is very handy for basic groceries and all members of staff were helpful.
The shower and toilet blocks were kept clean and tidy. A lot of grassland for children to play on besides the pitch.
Overall we didn't have any problems during our stay over the bank holiday and would definitely recommend to others.

I initially came to this campsite on my own with 2 dogs and a trailer tent and Ian the warden helped me put my awning up because I was struggling in blustery winds and rain, and he and Elly checked on me (and the rest of the campers) when worse weather was coming in, (bad weather is really bad here, its exposed!)
I've returned several times - the last time with my Eriba instead of trailer tent. Always receive a welcome, and help if needed (A local electrician was called for me to mend a minor caravan problem for example)
The site is beautiful -spectacular views and surrounding countryside and beaches-
It's spotlessly clean. Pitches are spacious. Showers are tokens, but fine.
It has to be one of my favourite places and I will go back

The most beautiful view imaginable, even in thunder and wind, rainbows and sun.
The site is very clean, the warden is friendly. The toilet block could perhaps use a little updating, although everything works and is clean. Hairdryer access is there. Showers - 30p for what felt like 5mins and no warning it cut off, (although the temperature was warm and nice. ) and very cramped to change in.
The fields are great for children to run and play in and the animals all round us were quiet and just scenic really. Night times were quiet and we were treated to shooting stars!
The location although stunning in views and beach has a big issue - the walk between them is not for the faint hearted or those carrying small children and everything needed for a day on the beach, it is probably 20mins of rocky path, the walk back up to site is 5mins up what feels like sheer cliff face and some parts require climbing on all 4s.
Would I go again - definitely, would I go with an under 2 and a 2yr old - maybe not!

Well we were lucky with the weather, but this site was great. The view from the cliff of the beautiful, unspoilt beach made it perfect.
Wardens were helpful and the staff in the shop exceptional. The laundry was good, it cost about £4 for us to wash and dry a big load of washing.
I was not keen on the token system for the showers, only because you have to get undressed and then come out and put in the token which is outside of the shower.
The shower starts immediately. Which is great unless you are drying yourself (as my 8 year old pointed out) and someone else accidentally puts the token in the wrong box, then you would probably not be too happy!
Also on two occasions we had to wait for the shower to warm up which wastes a minute of your precious token time!
Otherwise I cannot fault this site and the camping field was perfect, tents all around the outside meant the area in the middle was used for children to play and the odd game of football/badminton.
