Three Cliffs is a 4* campsite.
Toilets, Showers & Wash-up are well kept. At busy times there can be a queue, but not usually longer than 1 or 2 persons.
The grounds are immaculate and geared for camping. There are two fields, a sheltered field for tents only and a more exposed, cliff-top field for both campers/caravans and tents, with the latter being sited along the cliff and up the hill. It has grand views of the Three Cliffs Bay and surrounding coast-line.
It's a family friendly site and there were lots of kids around the site, but everyone sticks to the after dark rule for silence/lights out.
There's a no fire policy, but fire bricks are available for BBQs.
The beach is 20 minutes walk away, but is a fantastic place for the kids to play, although when the tide is out you can add 10 minutes to the walk.
There are other good beaches that are a drive or walk away - Oxwich Bay is serviced with cafes and drink/ice creams places although there is £3 parking charge.
Its a great place to explore the Gower from. Recommended visits include Rhosselli and the Worm's Head.
Its very close to Swansea, where the LC2 leisure centre has indoor water-world with 3 slides and wave machine.
The only downside for me was that it was a little too close to Swansea and still in the light pollution and at night parts of Swansea can be seen across the skyline. The nearest village, Southgate, is across the bay and at night, parts of the campsite are bathed in lights from traffic, not excessively but will happen a few times at night.

The Three Cliffs campsite is one of the best campsites we have ever stayed at, the main reason is that the view it is stunning! This site is easy to find and has two fields to choose from, only one though that has the magnificent views of the three cliffs in the sea. We were lucky enough to camp on the cliff edge and luckily had the perfect weather for it. This site has a clean shower block and very basic shop. You can walk down the cliff to the small beach at the front, also there are shops and a pub 'The Gower Inn' within a 30/45 minute walk from the campsite.
The Gower Peninsula is a jewel of Wales and a must visit to anyone outdoors lover, just make sure you stay at this campsite, you won't be disappointed!

Just returned from a 5 night stay at this site. The staff were warm and welcoming, friendly without being intrusive. The field at the front with the view is sloping but it's not too bad. We set our tent at the top of the slope and found no problems. There are other fields that are flat but do not share the view of the bay.
The pub is 20 minutes away if you are fit and keen to get there but if, like my wife and I, you're a little more relaxed then it's more like 30 to 35 minutes. The good news is the walk, although uneven, is so nice you won't notice the time go by. Had I not actually timed the journey I would have guessed 15 to 20 minutes.
The bay is beautiful and quite close. The path down is uneven but I managed to get down there without breaking anything or finding I couldn't look at the scenery.
The facilities were clean and tidy during the whole of our stay. The showers were hot and free and my wife informs me there was a free hair drier too. Little touches like a built in step so kids can reach the urinal show that thought has gone into making this site a good family friendly one.
Lots of nice walks from the site and a bus that stops 300m from the site entrance means there's lots to do if you don't want to drive all the time.
I don't have kids so didn't pay attention as to whether there were any specific play areas for them on site. I didn't notice any. What I did see were kids playing together, flying kites, doing roly polys down the slope and having a grand old time.
The site is active and yet quiet which is quite a feat to pull off. I tend to go to bed early and wake up early and not once was I bothered by noise.
I would definitely use this camp site again.
Edit: My star rating says no stars for child friendliness but that's because I put N/A as I didn't have kids. The kids I saw on site were happy.

Superb location for the views and walk. (. Very dog friendly). Need to get there early for best pitches as some are on a slope. The wardens very friendly and helpful and do run a tight ship. Toilets and showers spotless cleaned 4 -5 times a day when we stayed. The showers were free and hot at all times of day.
The pub and shop 20 mins walk away but easily accessible. The walk down to the beach is not for the faint hearted though. Wear trainers or walking boots and not flip flops! Very steep in places. We stayed in glorious sunny conditions but I would imagine it to be very exposed in bad weather so be prepared!
The view is really what makes this site. It truly is breathtaking :-)

A superb site. Wardens and staff were very welcoming and helpful. Had a superb pitch overlooking the sea. Facilities were very clean but poor flow of water in showers. Plenty of space. No local facilities so stock up on food. The Coalhouse on Oxwich Baeach well worth a visit. Beautiful beaches and scenery. We walked over headland to Parkmill Village and back through golf course. Well worth a visit.

We had pre-booked Three Cliffs Bay back in January in the hope of good weather and a front row pitch with a view to die for. And we were NOT disappointed.
Arrived via small country lanes, hairy but OK if you're careful, to a warm welcome in the reception/shop. We were told to follow the lane to the camping field and check in with the wardens. The lane is very small (to say the least!) - we had to bring our wing mirrors in and we still touched the hedges both sides! We were greeted by very friendly wardens, in fact probably the best wardens we've ever come across in our years of camping - they are a credit to Three Cliffs Bay. Nothing was too much trouble for them (they even got their local maps out and gave us the best directions to our next site when it was time to head off!). We were offered a choice of hardstanding or grass pitch on the front row with the most stunning views of the bay. We opted for a hardstanding pitch. It wasn't level so blocks were required.
The central shower/toilet block was spotless at all times (again down to the wardens) although a bit chilly. There's a large indoor washing up area (men only apparently!) which was again spotless.
The walks from the site are endless but some are strenuous! We walked down to the bay and up the other side to Pennard castle ruins and then back across the bay towards Oxwich Bay.
No pub or shop (other than the campsite shop) close by but who needs either when you have views to die for?! Free Wi-Fi is available from this year - just ask the warden for the password!
It's not a cheap site by any means but if you're lucky enough to get a front row pitch and some decent weather it's well worth the money.
We hope to be back at Three Cliffs Bays again one day, but in the meantime we have long lasting memories of a very special campsite.

You pay for the view, stunning, right on the cliff edge. We were fortunate to have loads of sunshine. Great walking trails in both directions.
There are few facilities nearby, small shop on site. Local shop 10 mins down hill. Modern and very clean shower block but not heated so cold in the early morning. All pitches are large and very tidy, a very open site so little shelter should you need it. All staff and wardens very pleasant and helpful. We walked over cliffs to Oxwich, 1. 5 hrs on soft sand but worth it and lunched at the local hotel, snack and beer for 2 was £20.
Bus stop at entrance to camp but check the timetable on site first as not that regular.
We would certainly visit again.

I pulled up at half 3 without a booking and I was pitched up by 4, the view was absolutely amazing. I was greeted by the warden on entering the field and he ran through the facilities and where and how to pitch my caravan. The staff are friendly and most helpful. Its the first time I've been to Three Cliffs caravanning but would recommend it to anyone. I honestly can't praise this site enough and can't wait to go back again soon. Three Cliffs Bay has definitely made my whole week. Thank you all for a pleasant stay

We were extremely lucky with the weather for our holiday in South Wales - the first week of Sept. - the only good week all year! This was our first stop and what a nice site it is. We had a front row hard standing pitch looking down over into the bay - just spectacular. The bay completely fills with water when the tide is in so time your stay for low tides at midday and you will be fine.
We walked up the river to the old castle and further on to Parkhill then another day we walked to Oxwich across the beach.
The site is very well run - two very helpful wardens look after the two fields. The toilets and showers were all very clean as were the kitchens. The shop and office was always staffed by happy helpful people. The shop section sold some very nice local produce.
It made a great base for the start of our holiday and exploring the Gower.

Very pleasant but not special. It is famous for its stunning views down over Three Cliffs Bay but only for the line of motorhomes lined up along the cliff. You would need to book these hard standings well ahead. Even then it is a bit regimented and tightly packed. Showers not very convenient and toilets only average cleanliness. Tiny shop. The advantages over the nearby site they do sell gas and the entry road is easy to negotiate.
