Was using this site as a couple of night stop over to break up the journey. From the moment I booked it I regretted not adding more nights and this view didn't change whilst we were there! Easy to find. Went into reception to get checked in. Site layout and facilities explained nice and clearly so off we set to get pitched up. Location was absolutely superb. We were very lucky with the weather as it was sunny all the time so we we able to just sit and relax at the loch side whenever we felt like it.
On site the facilities included two toilet / shower blocks, motorhome point, bar and kids play area. The toilet blocks are a little old and could do with a refresh. First time use of the shower and it was cold. The light sensor in the toilets was too short and went off before completing!
The bar was well stocked with a variety of drinks. Food was ok if not a little overpriced, but not too bad. About a mile down the road is invermoriston which had very little to do but is picturesque with some nice walks about the area. The shop of note was the local craft shop making leather goods. Worth a visit.
Overall the fact that this is by Loch Ness was more than enough to outweigh the negatives and I wouldn't hesitate stopping again.

Very nice site, man at reception friendly and welcoming. Requested pitch which had TV reception, seemingly 1/2 the pitches don't get TV. Very large pitches, with electric and water supplied (no lugging water bottles). Site is beautifully kept. Toilet block is ok, no major complaints, although the shower cubicles are large, it's difficult to get dressed without your clothes getting wet. It's a very large site and wasn't too busy when we were there but I suspect there would be queues for the 3 showers in high season. Water was hot, although you couldn't regulate the temperature. There appeared to just be 2 industrial bins close to the toilets. I think it would be helpful if there were extra bins placed around the site. There is a lovely new club house, well behaved dogs are welcome. Would definitely return. I think wifi was available sometimes.

I have stayed at this site for the last 4 years when we tour on our motorbikes around Scotland. I therefore get to see a lot of other campsites and this one is probably one of the best. It has a bar and restaurant that open at 5pm each night, toilet facilities are very good, always clean and more importantly warm. This is a godsend after a sometimes cold and wet bike ride. Staff are helpful and friendly, I particularly like the older gentleman who patrols the place on his golf buggy. The views may not be great, especially after staying in Durness, but it has everything you would need for a couple of nights of hassle free camping.
For bikers, we used the site as a base in 2013, staying for 3 nights then riding to Skye or Inverness, both outstanding roads for bikes.

Second visit to this site, but this time staying in one of the 'Hobbits'
This is a great little site on the shores of Lochness, the views is stunning and the park is clean and tidy. We booked online which was easy and fast really.
When we arrived we checked in with ease at reception, then on the night we visited the on site bar which was nice and tidy also. Drinks were good priced along with the meals, which were of good quality. Good friendly staff. We had another meal on another night it was great as well.
As for the hobbit it was nice and cosy also with loads of room inside. Also they have been moved back a bit from the shore side so sitting out in front you get the sun but not the wind.
The toilets were clean and tidy and kept like that for our stay. Would say the taps are big of a pain with the push type and low water pressure, but only a small thing really.
Certainly recommended the site to others.

Fantastic site in an excellent location, the facilities are superb, the shower block is probably the best on any campsite in Scotland.
The camping field is great, flat, soft and quietly sheltered with easy access to the village amenities, when the on site bar and lounge opens this site will be very busy so book ahead and maybe see you there, I will definitely be going back

We stayed here with friends from Canada doing a tour of Scotland for a bit of 'Nessie spotting'. We stayed an extra night. It was so peaceful and the twin 7 year olds LOVED the 'hobbit houses', especially when we told them that Nessie used them like lobster pots and she emptied them during the night to eat the occupants.
Yes, it is basic but the showers were warm and efficient, the microlodges were clean, warm and comfortable, it was a convenient stop for the top leg of the tour and the management were friendly and helpful.
It felt private and looking at stars and the calm of the water was wonderful. Well worth the money.

Dropped into this site early afternoon to check it was open and found a right grumpy guy coming out to the reception to meet us.
We established it was open, but he never mentioned the bar being closed.
However we came back after visiting the other things in the area.
When booking in I went into reception to find a nice lady working, she was helpful and welcoming unlike her husband I surmise.
Anyway we got the choice of the site right on the loch front. Great spot for a site.
The facilities were quite clean and tidy, pity about the taps though as they stop instantly.
We did think twice about going back after the first encounter but glad we did. Great site and location.
Looking at the hobbit cabins on our next visit to the area.

We were on a tour with the kids and found this site by accident. Huge site but it was largely shut down because it was the end of the year.
We only stayed for one night. It all looked fairly new but must have had a pounding. The showers certainly had a wiff of damp and bad water. The shower baskets attached to the wall were just rusting off the wall.
The site is picturesque. Would be interested to how big the queue would be for a shower if the site was full. Albeit a big site there are no real areas for kids to play. Which is hard with a 10 year old who gets board easily.
Must see the lock gates of the canal in the village.

Really good, hadn't booked too much in advance, and was told if no one in reception to just pitch up anywhere until the reception was open. Which is great if you are arriving but worth bearing in mind if you are moving your van for the day. Leave something behind to show that the pitch it taken
Hard standing pitches are massive, felt lost in it! but would be great if you had an awning as you would have plenty room still even after the awning was up.
Good quality showers and toilet block.
Site easy to find.
Lovely site to see the stars.
Staff friendly and approachable
Would recommend and use again

Having just stopped at a very overcrowded site at Loch Ness, and left early, this site was a breath of fresh air. The friendly staff and freedom is what we love. Pitch anywhere you like we were told, just let us know.
The facilities were great, everything you need and all clean. We loved that you can walk in to Fort Augustus in 5 mins and watch the boat go through the locks.
We loved this site if we are back in the area we will be stopping here.
