This is a very beautiful site. Very very quiet. Lovely little stream runs through the site. Only a few pounds (£6) for a taxi into Oban to sample some of the fantastic seafood on offer! We got to choose our pitch which was great. Ground was very well drained and flat. The toilets/showers were always immaculate. Very clean. On saying that if I were to be honest, I would say there are 2 downside points to the toilets/showers. The lights are on a timer switch and if you are like myself and prefer a shower late at night (when it's dark) you can find yourself (like I did) left in complete darkness whilst in the shower and having to come out of the shower and wave your arms around to get the light back on :-( The other downside was the sheer lack of pressure in the showers. As well seasoned campers we can make a comparison and unfortunately have to say that the showers are VERY weak and dated. We found the site owners to be very pleasant but were somewhat disappointed when a fellow camper who had travelled from Germany with a very young baby was struggling to transfer funds from their bank electronically. They asked the site owner if it would be possible to do this on the site owners wifi/pc. The young couple were in a real pickle as what to do. I was dumbfounded when the site owner actually told us he did not allow the young couple to borrow his internet for just a couple of minutes. It makes me wonder what kind of message we as UK citizens are sending out to fellow foreign travellers, especially with a young baby. Luckilly we had our ipad and were only too glad to help the young couple out, by letting them use our ipad. 2 minutes on our ipad and it was sorted. Internet signal was intermittent and not reliable either. But on saying all of the above, the site is beautiful and well cared for. We did also notice that NO recycling takes place on this site which is a shame really.

Stayed on this site for 3 days. Good signage out of Oban town. 1. 5 miles. Road is sometimes single track. There are passing places. And you hope you meet traffic there. Very good site, well presented. Very quite. Very scenic. Reports of deer and golden eagle visiting site. Owner's Mike and Fiona both very helpful. Good hard standing. Lots of room. TV airel socket included. Wi-Fi £1 for duration of stay. Cost £20 night for caravan + 2 people. Toilet block adequate with hot water and free shower's. Very quite site. No shops. No pubs. Just peace and quite, loads of it. Well worth a list. If I'm in Oban this will be my first choice site.

This was the first ever campsite we have visited with a campervan. We had hired a vintage van and it was a nightmare to drive. The narrow road leading up to this site was a bit of a challenge but we made it OK. We phoned Mike the warden when we arrived and he came down to help us very quickly. He helped with organising a taxi back in to Oban and he didn't mind when I phoned him back when I couldn't work out how to work the electric hook up. The site was very quiet and peaceful but still very handy for Oban. The town centre is a 10 minute drive away.

This site has a new warden this season. Attentive but not ' in your face '. Always a friendly word and a smile, him and his wife are part of what is special about this site. He went to The trouble of throwing a cheese and wine party last week and a coffee morning this week, they both work hard at making this site a pleasure to stay at
I come here most weekends for the peace and quiet which is here in shed loads
Horses cows and deer appear on the site at regular intervals never a nuisance and keep their distance
At night the site is dark and extremely quiet it seems the world has gone away, very relaxing
Yes it's a basic site but this keeps the pub lot away along with the party throwers
Highly recommended for the right type of person as I am sure it wouldn't suit everybody
But it suits me and looking around me a lot of others too

The only advantage of this camp site is a close location to Oban. You can't have a barbecue there when you want, and better to come there with no children (even though they have a playground there) or dog (you might be too noisy for this camp site).
The camping rates are much higher than average as well even though the services are far from perfect.
Verdict is : stay away from this place unless you want to be ripped off, do not have dog or children or like being watched 24/7.

Two night stay. Excellent facilities, delightful views, helpful staff. Little difficult to find initially coming in from the town centre and the elevated access up the single track could be a bit disconcerting for larger units, but we were fine. Would not hesitate to recommend site. Loved the old-fashioned mangle in the laundry room that was very useful when doing hand washing. Only suggestion would be to have an individual washroom in the gents side, as there is in the ladies.

Just back from a 4 night stay at Roseview in our Hi-Gear Blackrock 5 tent. What a lovely site! If you want total peace and quiet, this is the place to go. On arrival I met Mike at the reception area who was very helpful, friendly and showed us a layout of the campsite. We found a nice quiet spot, but realised there was no electric hookup socket nearby. After a quick chat with the owner we found another spot which accommodated our electric hookup. Putting up our tent was not too bad, quite windy, but didn't take too long and was not too stressful. Over the four days, the weather got pretty awful (Scottish summertime). One morning we woke up - the wind and rain was pretty wild, but the tent held up well without any leaks.
The toilet / shower blocks are well looked after and are spotless - 10/10. There are plenty of shops / Oban town centre nearby, so this campsite is ideal if you want peace and quiet but things nearby if you want.
I will definitely be back.

Had used this site twice last year without any problems. Enjoyed it so much we decided to go again this year. Made welcome by the male owner on arrival, told we could reserve the BBQ for Saturday only to be told on Saturday by the female owner that we could not reserve it, were also told by female owner on Friday night that we were too noisy (after singing a chorus to a song) and that we could be asked to leave. Felt we were being watched all weekend, totally spoilt it for all of us. Not group friendly

What a friendly and very helpful couple run this lovely little site set in a sheltered hidden bowl 2 miles South West of Oban. An absolute sun-trap (when it shines!).
Plenty of spaces with hard standing pitches set around the brook that runs through the centre of this site. Top field above this is for tenters.
The site is located ¾ mile from the Sound of Kerrera with the Dive centre, ferry to the island and Oban’s other camp site. Oban itself is an easy 2 mile bike ride along a quiet lane or 3 ½ miles following the coastal road.
Slight problem with the electric as the supply is an (unsteady) 10amp supply, but it does have TV points, even an activity play area for the children. The toilet block is clean and tidy, very low water pressure so trickle of a shower. Inadequately ratio of facilities/campers when the site is busy.
Despite minor issues it is a delightful and laid backed site if you are looking for peace away from the hustle and bustle of life.

A lovely site- peaceful and sheltered from the gales we had! It took us 45 mins to walk into Oban for fish n chips so it would have been a good idea to cycle instead. Friendly and helpful owner.
Lovely clean toilet blocks- the shower cubicles could perhaps do with a few more hooks to make changing easier/quicker
There is a child play area and picnic tables and a small burn running through part if the site.
Wifi access would be useful if possible?
