Access while on a narrow road was not a problem for our motorhome. You do need transport to town. While it is small and was not busy when we were there it was acceptable.
The ladies facilities had a sarcastic note from Angus responding to a campers request for a heater. He suggested they go to a 5 star hotel! And aren't shower buttons that need pressing each 2 seconds annoying!
One gets the impression that you should not cross Angus! and don't ask for anything 'extra' It wasn't cheap and we have 4 months around Scotland to compare with.

The location is a bit of an oddity. Cycling up there at the end of a long day as it was getting dark, it seemed like a lot longer than the 1.5 miles out of the town centre signposted--though I believe other reviewers who confirmed the distance by actually measuring it. It felt enough of a trek that I wouldn't want to be going back & forth into town if I was staying several days. On the other hand, the brief view of the scenery (I only stayed 1 night, and it was dark/raining most of the time) I got from the site was of a pretty good setting.
I chose a spot on top of a slight bank to pitch, so no waterlogging. Facilities were clean, nice to have piped music. Ideally I'd maybe increase the no. Of handbasins--there only seemed to be 1 in the women's sanitary block--a bit awkward when several people wanted to brush teeth, wash hands etc.; and rethink the hairdrying location as other campers had to be careful not to bash into people.
However, what made this site for me was (as others have mentioned) the cooking shelter. Given how windy & rainy it was on my visit, it was great to have (I just wish more campsites would follow suit). I even managed to dry my shoes--wet for over a day--out under the eaves!

We stayed at this site for 10 nights and would highly recommend it. The site was in a stunning location and beautifully kept. The shower and toilet block was very clean and, even though the site was full for most of the time we were there, there were no, if any, queues for the showers. There is also a dish washing area, laundry room and drying room and undercover picnic and bbq areas. Our son (9) had a great time in the play area and stream running through the site, leaving us to enjoy the peace and quiet of the site (we were on the ridge above the play area and couldn't hear a thing!).
The site was in a great location for touring the area - we could have stayed longer there was that much to do. Oban itself is a very busy town and has all the facilities you could need, including cinema, leisure centre with pool and bowling alley (not that we used any of them but could come in handy in the event of really bad weather!). Also plenty of choice of supermarkets and restaurants, all within a couple of minutes drive of the site.
Would definitely visit again.

The oh and myself stayed here for a week just got back home angus and ian couldn't have been more helpful as the pitch we had near the tree our car couldn't reverse the short incline so I unhitched and angus used his motor.
The drive to the site can I imagine be a bit daunting to a first timer but once on site the peace and quite is brilliant not to far to travel to tescos and a short walk into town toilet blocks fine not the annoying showers that you have to keep pushing the dial in that always stops just as you are washing your hair lol
Luckily our sat nav took us straight there but angus did say that's not always the case
Will definitely be going there again when I have saved from all the oh spending lol

This site is quiet and peaceful being situated higher up on the outskirts of the busy Oban centre. There was not a great deal of level ground for tents but motorhomes and caravans are well catered for. We decided to extend our 2 night stay to 4 nights as the site was ideal for our needs. The facilities were very clean and tidy with plenty of free hot water, and showers. The site was full when we arrived but we had booked, but Angus and Ian did allow 2 hikers who were dropped off after 10 one night a pitch. Ian gave out information about Oban centre which included free parking, shops, ferries etc.
We never had a midge problem because the weather was breezy most of the time.
Will return again.

A beautiful campsite, very quiet location, while being close to the town of Oban, also close to a Tescos, Lidl and Aldi!
We found it a great location place for visiting Oban, which is a seaside town with a variety of shops and of course the ferry port to the Islands.
Tha campsite wasn't full on arrival and we got to chose our own pitch, only when we did arrive we felt Angus was not pleased to see us, as we had arrived too early for reception, which started at 1pm (we didn't realise this) and we did offer to go away and come back later.
The campsite was spotless, showers and toilet area very clean and there were loads of them, never a queue!
Angus has tried to think of everything - the radio in the toilet/shower block a great idea, outside eating areas - for all weathers and also bbq area to cook on.
We booked on a day to day basis, as we were watching the weather and this worked well for us.
All in all a site we would recommend!

Arrived unplanned and quite late (9.30pm) at this site following an eleven hour drive from London after the site we had been heading to was flooded.
Very friendly staff on arrival, especially given the time, and they found us a pitch quickly which was much appreciated. Not a great deal of flat ground for tents and our pitch was up high on a hill so a bit windy (which had advantages as it kept the midges away!)
Nice clean facilities, but perhaps not quite enough of them for the size of the site and the very springy ‘cowboy saloon’ style swinging doors were deadly to get through without injuring yourself or the person behind you!
Basically, only stayed here for the night and were up and out early next day, also leaving the Oban area so can’t really comment on that. The town looked quite busy and a little bit ‘identikit’ high street when we drove through it on the evening we arrived but wouldn’t like to judge it solely on that, especially when everyone else says how nice it is.
All in all, a nice site; more geared towards tourers and vans than tents and perhaps in need of a little rethink on the facilities front but a good solid place to stay.

Agree with everything said here this site is a total gem the nicest I have ever visited. It was fairly busy when I visited so I struggle to find a level pitch near the toilets but what a view in the mornings. Its a short drive into Oban where you can park for free and there is Coop, Tesco, Aldi and Lidl all next to each other. The shops are ok and there is plenty to do in the area.
My daughter was happy just to stay on the campsite playing by the stream and park but loved the trips out as well. There is picnic benches dotted about all over toilets are lovely and clean with radio 2 piped into them. The barbecue area is great if there is going to be rain or just to meet other campers. A lot of people use this site as a stop over but it would be lovely for a long stay with so much to do in the area.
I will definitely be back to this site. I did find it hard to find at first but once found is very easy to locate. I went to the other site first which looked ok but Roseview would be pretty hard to beat, a total gem of a site.

Our first ever trip in our motorhome. Angus very helpful and gave us nice pitch easy to park in. Road not nearly as bad as I feared from review, managed fine and policy of arrival departure times helped. Very clean toilets lovely area very well maintained site. Town easily reached by bike or good taxis.
Oban is a good lively cosmopolitan town - great ceilidh with Vatersay boys. Good ferry links.

Fantastic site. Beautifully kept, pleasure to stay. We used this site as a one night stopover as we were taking the ferry to the Isle of Mull, but could have stayed longer.
Ideally located for the ferry, close to Oban which has lots of shopping including a Tesco. The site is a credit to its' owner, very clean and well kept. Would highly recommend that if you use this site stay more than one night. It is worth staying to enjoy the peace and quiet.
There is a play area for the children. And the pitches are well spaced out and in small sections so very pleasant and not squeezed in.
Toilets etc are clean, overall the site is very well maintained to a high standard.
The access road to the site put us off slightly wondering where we had come to, but don't let that fool you, the site is a little gem.
