Lots of positives and one or two helpful comments (I hope).
Very convenient for Oban and quite well signposted in the town but the approach is up a long narrow minor road with passing places. I found this a bit worrying when towing the van.
The site is in a pleasant rural area. It is nice and quiet. The warden is very pleasant and helpful. The little map of the site is very useful.
Everything is kept very clean. I can only speak about the ladies' toilet/shower area. The water in the showers has low pressure and the water in the dish washing area although hot in the morning is only lukewarm by evening.
As the site blog states there are no play facilities and there is no shop except for a small selection of canned soft drinks. A small lending library is available.
Overall I would recommend it and would return but with the tent rather than a tourer but that could just be me being a scaredy cat!

Roseview in Oban, if you get to the site via the very narrow (with passing places only) road then its well worth visiting.
Total silence, clean, excellent play park for the children, clean toilet & shower facilities. The site could be improved with more showers as if the site was busy then you would need to queue in the morning, 2showers & toilets each (male & female).
Overall well worth a visit. Remember to take your midge repellent with you, the west coast is known for the midges & if the weather is nice then they will have a feast on you.
A little bit of a walk for the chemical & grey water disposal if your pitched near the play park.
Play park is excellent for the kids, swings, balance beam, monkey bars & climbing frame, for the really small there is a sand pit. There is also the ducks to keep the kids amused.
Within 5min drive there is Tesco supermarket for all your supplies & requirements.
Thanks for an excellent time.

We stayed 2 nights in July 2011. Maybe because I booked for 2 adults and a child, we got offered a choice of 3 pitches beside the play park. However this was not too bad as there were few kids on site during our visit. This would not be to everyone's taste and I would recommend requesting a pitch further from the play ground at the time of booking. The toilets/showers are clean and there seemed to be enough to cope during our visit. Its a couple of miles from the town centre but there is a Tesco about a mile away using a back road.

Lovely little campsite in a valley high up behind Oban. Our children 7, 5 & 4 loved the play area and the stream running through the site. Spent a good while looking for tadpoles and the resident ducks with ducklings came over for a feed every now and again! Buzzards hovered above campsite too. Pitch was right across from park which was handy. Toilet block has everything you need ie laundry, drying room, dish wash area and info room. Toilets and showers clean but slightly dated and would benefit from new decor as presently looks old fashioned.
Oban itself was a busy town with plenty of shops. We visited Easdale Island, Sea Life Sanctuary and Cruachan Power Station which is under a mountain! No wi-fi unfortunately so we did feel a little out of touch but free Wi-fi in Leisure Centre.

It was a really nice campsite. We arrived before the 2pm book in time which the owner was a bit grumpy about, but check in between 2pm -6pm is not really practical for everyone.
The shower block a bit out dated and only two showers available no hairdryer or extras which we are used to.
Although we had a child with us we were placed in the pitches next to the play park, yeah it was nice of him to do this but we have an early sleeper and the noise from the other tents were very off putting and as parents we could not chill out as fear of making noise and waking up the other children. If we were asked if we wanted next to the other families it would have been nice.
On a lighter note it was a well kept park, owner takes well care of his site. Ducks appearing in the tent was amusing. We left the car and walked into the town centre lovely walk only 30 mins, views were great sheep were a bit loud though but that comes with the joys of camping.
Plenty to do in town. Campsite pleasant.

Visited in Sept, weather as always rained, second visit to the site and always very clean and tidy. Agree the road is somewhat hairy and potentially a little more than 1. 5 miles especially when someone comes the other way. Kids area is good and is visible from the whole site. We were lambasted on our departure as we had a visit from a member of the family (who we had asked and had been granted permission to do so the day before) as they weren't allowed on site. On the whole worth a visit.

We have just returned from a long weekend and have to be honest, this site I would recommend to anyone. The views are stunning, the site is spotless and grass well cared for. The toilet and shower blocks are superb even with radio 2 playing.
Oban is about 30mins walking distance (better going down though), it is a beautiful walk on a nice evening. The reception carries bare essentials like milk and juice for the kids. The site is well thought out with family units being on a separate area with a childrens play area so that kids can run shout and scream to their hearts content without bothering others that want to be quiet. There is a covered barbecue – cooking area and a sit in area where you can enjoy your dinners without having to be in the tent all the time. I am really impressed and am looking forward to our return visit.

Hi, went to the Roseview recently, had a lovely time. Really peaceful, scenery was gorgeous, Angus keeps the park immaculate, forget what some people write in their reviews re Angus being a bit crabby, he,s got a dry witty nature, I found him quite funny. Oban was lovely too, the only downfall was the road in and out of the site, it,s narrow and windy, not a lot of passing places, I found it a bit daunting, apart from that, I would recommend this site. We'll definitely be back

We are just back from our first camping experience! This site was excellent. We have 2 kids (1 and 3) who loved it. Our pitch was right next to the play park with plenty of safe area round it. Our younger one was a bit too fond of the stream though!
This is a very quiet campsite and perfect if you like to wake up hearing birds, ducks and sheep. It feels like you really are in the countryside.
Lovely toilet block. Nice and clean and very well maintained. Given that it is the summer holidays no queues for showers or toilets.
Would recommend this site and we will definitely go back :-)

This a small but well set out site offering great views. On arrival, as we had no children or dogs, we asked if we could have a quiet pitch and was directed to no. 6 which overlooks the children's play area! The campsite was only half full therefore this was not due to necessity.
The location is idyllic but the site is approached by a narrow 3 mile lane with passing places which made our journey a little tricky in places.
To be honest, the site is well maintained and very family orientated. I cannot understand why our request for a quiet pitch was refused. It didn't spoil our stay but it is the main reason why we will not return.
