Lovely location, in picturesque valley, clean well kept campsite. Very quiet and peaceful. Well laid out. Grass kept tidy. Warden very helpful and polite. Site appears to no longer cater for divers. Dive shop closed most of the time but is very depleted with old stock. Air Compressor for air fills looked a bit questionable. Nearby Puffin dive centre 1/2 ml away a safer option for air fills and well stocked shop. Also launching facilities.

Just returned from a week at Roseview. The site is perfect - 5 minutes drive from Oban and the location is idyllic. We had 4 dogs with us and there was a good walk just outside the site for them.
The site was quiet and there was never a problem with getting a shower. The facilities were spotless. Handy that there is a plug in the ladies shower block. The owner could not have been more helpful, from lending a TV cable to pointing out best places to park in Oban.
Owner's office has a small fridge selling milk and cola. There is a warm laudry room which we found very useful for hanging washed clothing.
Very much hope to visit again.

What can I say that hasn't already been said.
Showers now run constantly so no button pushing every 5 seconds although you do have to run them for quite a while to get warm/ hot water no radio 2 ( probably on in high season) I am here in September
Friendly greeting my silly enquiry sorted with a smile ( probably saying silly campers under his breath)
Motorhome pitches a bit regimental but flat, (so no half cups of tea)
Very quiet highly recommended site found it by accident on my way to other site but having been here I won't be going to the other one again
Don't be put off by the narrow lane it's worth the anxiety and isn't that bad when you get along a bit not sure how many miles it is probably 2 could be country miles which are always longer
Highly recommended

With a family of 5 we would have needed two tents. The site offered a wooden cabin with 6 bunks (2 x triple bunks) for £40 a night.
The cabin had electricity, hot and cold water, heating (not needed) and table with bench seating, a refrigerator and lots of nice wee touches eg tea bags and bin bags. Lots of storage too.
A well established site, nice and quiet. Ian the owner/manager is a very pleasant man with a smile, and lots of helpful things to say.
The cabin was a practical alternative, and offered really good value for money. Hope to use again.

Just spent 2 nights camping at this site. It is in a nice location and kept clean and tidy. Toilet block is also clean, internal dish washing area and laundry.
As mentioned in other reviews, there is a covered bbq area with seating and a separate snug sort of shed. These are in the upper tier area, where the ground can be quite slopping as we found out.
Mind you we had only booked three days before arriving and tent pitches appeared to be at a premium but spent two uncomfortable nights sliding off the air mattress due to the slope on our pitch. Next time I will book earlier and ask for pitch in the lower areas, they looked quite level.
The showers have very low pressure and get warmer as you shower, even at 06. 30 when no one else in showers. To be fair it is out in the country so can't really expect a power shower.

Great site I have visited this site for the third time. Good location approx 2 mile walk to town.
The warden was friendly and helpful, the toilet blocks were clean.
There is a shelter for campers to cook and sit.
Oban is a good town with lots of things to do such as boat trips, shopping and great eating places.
The boat trip to see the seals was only £10 which lasted approx 1 hour is very good.
Supermarket 2 miles from site.
Will be visiting site again

Just back from our 2nd stay at Roseview, although this visit was just an over night stay. Have to say its one for our favourite campsites. Friendly help and advice from Ian when booking in, as he tries his best to give you the best pitch he can.
The toilets, showers and washing up facilities are always spotless. Although there is only 2 showers in each toilet block, we've have never had a problem with queues in the morning.
The Park is very well kept and has beautiful surroundings. Very quiet and peaceful.
Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quiet relaxing site.
The road upto the site is single track with passing places. Nice play park for the kids, which you can always keep an eye on them. The site also has a covered BBQ area which can be used at all times. (you just supply the coals and the food) :)
There is no store on site but VERY basics can be purchased from the reception.
Cost are £6 per adult per night
Pitch £5 per night with hook-up.
Children cheaper.
All round a fab wee site, and even better when the weather is sunny :)

What a lovely campsite! Nicely situated up what appeared to be the side of a mountain, yet only a couple of minutes drive from Oban.
Probably the friendliest wardens we met on our tour of Scotland. When I booked the site we didn't have an electric hookup, but when we turned up asking for one they couldn't have been more helpful.
The gentleman made sure he found us a spot, albeit in a field right by the gate, which didn't matter because only about one car an hour passed along the road.
When considering our spot he ensured that my children were too big to need the play area too much and checked that we didn't mind being a bit of a walk from the toilets/taps etc.
The site is less than five minutes from a big Tesco, and I believe there was also a Netto right just there as well.
The site was clean, tidy and welcoming. Would definitely use again.

A lovely site. Our party of five adults and one child stayed at this site for four nights. The warden took great care to ensure we had a pitch large enough to keep our three tents together, with acceptable space between them.
The site is very well looked after with well trimmed grass and well drained gravel paths and hardstanding for motorhomes and caravans. The toilets/showers are very clean and well lit- one small criticism here is that there are only two showers and toilet cubicles each in the ladies & gents, not a problem when we were there but must surely lead to queuing at busier times. A sizeable drying room is located in the facility block, we found this very useful in the unpredictable weather!
I was extremely impressed with the disabled toilet/ shower room after being directed there when the main toilets were being cleaned. I work with disabled people and have to say the provision at roseview is top notch- well done guys!
From a tent users point of view the site has an interesting terrain, with terraced pitches cut into the hillside and includes some nice secluded areas. The motorhome and caravan area is on good flat gravelled areas. Although house building is underway in the lower part of the valley it is well hidden and the campsite has a lovely 'out in the sticks' feel to it.
Oban itself is about a mile and a half away with decent shops, supermarkets and restaurants. You can get spectacular sunsets across Oban Bay, I'd recommend a trip up Pulpit Hill at sunset to photographers (or anyone else for that matter) for superb views across the town and highlands & islands (Pulpit hill is at the ferry terminal end of town).
To summarise, a lovely secluded and very scenic site with friendly efficient wardens who take great care of it. Highly recommended.

Oban is a fantastic location especially if you like water based activities.
We originally booked for three nights which became five and then ten. This was due to the location and the fact that my six year old daughter was happy playing in the park, feeding the ducks who resided near the flowing stream and exploring.
The toilets and showers were very clean of which it was possible to use the disabled facility which helped a great deal when sorting the girl out.
There is also a on site bbq area in the form of a snug. A great place to have a bbq with friends and is sheltered from the elements.
In terms of location, the site is semi rural with both a dive centre (Puffin), Tesco and Oban centre no too far away. Albeit the site is surrounded by hills and sheep.
No doubt we will be back in the future.
