Lovely campsite. Was welcomed and taken by a manager to our pitch. The pitch had EHU and the night light was on our pitch. We were told we could pitch either in front or behind the light which was great when the sun went down, but it also meant we had a very big pitch.
The showers were individual proper “glass walled” showers inside a cubicle which were nice and water was always hot and plentiful and spotlessly clean. Had to press the button for water every so often, but I quite like that so you can “scrub down” in-between. Toilets were spotless (closed for 2 hours every day) but got use of the disabled toilet. Most of the ladies toilets had a small wash basin (although there were none in the mens according to OH) this made up for no individual private units for washing (as I have a shower and a wash every day) Nice little touches with cotton pads, tissues etc and free use of hairdryer.
The shop seemed full of various foods and speciality local foods and sausages. We were also asked if we needed a daily paper when we arrived. There was also a local fish and chip van that came twice in the eight days we were there.
There is a laundry room that has 2 washers and 2 dryers and holds all the local tourist information. Outside there’s a rotary dryer together with pegs and undercover dishwashing facilities including a cloth per sink to wipe down after.
There’s a fishing lake which is all kitted out for the fisherman but is also a nice walk
Although in the countryside, there is some noise from the train that passes but it wasn’t really a problem. The rooks on the other hand were. I know, not the fault of the campsite, but rooks were nesting in nearby trees and all their squawking caused a real old racket so much so I couldn’t hear OH across the table – this happened at various times through the day, and evening (until about 9:00pm)– then they went quiet until 5:00a. M. , but got used to them a bit – when they were quiet it was nice to hear all the other birds nicely chirping.
Hereford and surrounding area is a really beautiful area – so much to do and see whether you like walking, exploring or shopping and there’s some magnificent views. RSPB were at Symonds Rock and had their microscope on a Perigrin nest with 2 babies.
We went at the very beginning of the good weather (shorts all the way) and it was a nice, relaxing place with homely touches.
All in all, a lovely, really friendly campsite (fellow campers would stop and chat and everyone looked relaxed). I would not hesitate to recommend (just a shame about the b. Y rooks – but not, as I said, the campsites fault)

Lovely peaceful site. We had a hardstanding pitch just near the entrance which backed onto a nice grass area great for the kids to play on.
Staff very friendly, and they run a nice little shop. Try the local sausages on sale in the shop, really good!
Only stayed for the weekend, so didn't venture out, just relaxed and played with the kids. Nice lake. Plenty of people go to this site to fish, but you don't need to in order to appreciate the lovely lake. It's just nice to walk around.

We selected this site as we wanted to visit the Food Fair and this site is one of the closest to Hereford.
On arrival we were given a very warm welcome by the wardens and shown to a pitch. It was hardstanding close to railway line but we were warned and the noise didn't bother us.
Facilities:
- pitch was fairly level but we did need levelling blocks on one side.
- There is a motorhome service point close to the entrance although there is only a small strip of drainage rather than the usual manhole and it couldn't really cope with emptying a full tank.
- The toilet block is very clean and I liked having a proper shower cubicle (no clinging shower curtain). Unfortunately they are push button which isn't my preference but temperature was ok. Toilet block could have been warmer first thing.
- the shop was winding down as it was the last week before they close so they didn't really have any stock. Hopefully it would be better in the main season.
- the road around the site got extremely slippery after the rain and I nearly slipped on a couple of occasions. I believe there are plans to replace the gravel top surface which had been washed away by this years heavy rains.
There are buses that run from the end of the road into ledbury in one direction and Hereford in the other. It is 5 mins walk and path is unlit so take a torch if if you plan to be back late. There isn't a defined bus stop but they do stop on request. Be aware that buses may come earlier than timetabled so be there a bit earlier. They also only run every 2 hours on a Sunday out of season.
We walked into Tarrington on Sunday and had a lovely sunday roast at the Tarrington arms pub. The landlord and landlady were very friendly and the food was great. The local cider is also worth sampling!. It's only 10 mins walk from the site.
As we were only here for a weekend we didn't venture too far but do plan to return, probably in the summer.

Lovely site in a good location. Fishing nice if you are into it (plenty come here just for that). Good welcome from the manager/wardens.
The downsides were the mens showers which leaked dreadfully. Apparently a fault in the fitting and there was a note posted that they were to be re-fitted over the winter.
The other one, which really does need sorting out is the road through the site. It is a clay type surface which in wet turns to a sludgy mess that you slip on and get completely filthy. I am told that in the dry (would have been nice to experience some !) that the opposite occurs and you get a fine white dust covering everything when vehicles go by. This really needs resurfacing and would not return unless this was sorted out

This was our second visit. As before very helpful staff who will go the extra mile to help. Clean tidy and well kept. Facilities very good; small problem with showers which will be attended to over winter. It was a pre-order Curry night when we arrived, did not partake but other campers said it was OK. Lake was popular with fishermen. Good walks in the area and regular bus service to Ledbury and Hereford about 15min walk from site. Shop well stocked with all kinds of local goodies. Noise from both road and rail but did not really affect us. Wifi - you get a free hour then it is chargeable. Fully recommend this site.

I arrived without booking (non member), and was met with a warm welcome from both the campsite manager and other holiday makers, all very helpful and friendly. This is a truly friendly site with excellent facilities which were very clean with additional personal touches in the ladies toilets and showers. The shop was well stocked and the night I arrived there was a curry night (you have to pre book for this at the site).
The trains or cars did not bother me and I was almost next to the line.
If you are wanting a home from home experience, with luxuries this is definitely the site for you.

What a great beautiful site with nice flat pitches a very tidy looking fishing pond though I don't fish myself.
A very warm welcome and very tidy and clean throughout.
No need to drive to Hereford or Ledbury as the bus service is excellent with nice clean buses on time and cheap £4 return for one to Hereford or Ledbury a bargain. The bus stop is about 10 minute walk from the site on the main road and technically isn't a bus stop but they will anyway to pick you up or drop you off.
Both Hereford and Ledbury are historic, charming places to visit with Hereford Cathedral a must.
There is a small amount of traffic noise from the main road and the Worcester to Hereford main line is on the north border of the site behind trees but it didn't bother us.
We walked to the Tarrington Arms along main road with a footpath from the site which is about 15 mins and got a very warm welcome and great local pint of beer with happy hour 17. 00 to 19. 00 at £2 a pint yet another bargain.
You are handed rules when you arrive which I fully agree with but they are not enforced with a yapping dog all through the day light hours every day, and one night a radio was being played all though the night other than that it was great and I would again without reservation.

One of our favourite sites, mainly because of the excellent fishing lake with some good sized carp (but don't tell anyone we don't want it getting too busy). Always enjoy an evening walk around the lake and watching the sun set over the water.
Good bus service outside the entrance running to Hereford and Ledbury. Surrounded by beautiful countryside with walking & some cycling from the site.
Facilities excellent. Staff always friendly. Shop well stocked with basics & a small range of essential fishing tackle & some bait.
Many regulars who are usually friendly. Quiet site - railway passes site but never bothered us. Not really a family site with deep water requiring supervision of children.

A truly lovely site. Beautifully kept with great flower displays. Staff are so very pleasant and are always working on the site, grass cutting and cleaning etc.
The showers are a delight, spotless and ---in the ladies anyway-- lovely touches with tissues, cotton wool pads for make up removal---the sorts of things that one can so easily forget to bring.
We loved the siting of the camp surrounded as it is by country including cows in the next field.
The only downside when we were there was that we couldn't get a good signal for our laptop which of course is not in their control and this I believe may have improved since we were there.

Lovely site with an excellent fishing lake. The facilities are very good; the toilets and showers are spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water. There is also an area for washing up.
The campsite has a small shop which stocks all basics, milk, bread, sugar etc. You can order a daily paper for a small charge. It also orders Indian takeaway food on Mondays and a fish & chip van visits the site on Saturdays. The owners are very friendly but do ensure that rules are followed.
On the negative side there are no fully serviced pitches and although there are hookups it is expensive. There are no particular facilities for children but then it is primarily for fishing.
The local pub 'Tarrington Arms' is only 10 minutes walk and beer there is very good. The meals are standard 'pub grub' at reasonable prices. Landlady is a character!
