A lovely, quiet site, although the railway runs alongside this did not cause any problems. The wardens were extremely friendly and helpful and the shop sold basic items. The pitches are level and I am sure the pond is beautiful on a nice day, unfortunately it rained most of the time we were there, with a massive thunderstorm thrown in for good measure. We visited the little market town of Ledbury, which is very old fashioned and had a look round the church. My only criticism of this site is that the road is very rough, although there were people there tarmaccing when we left. All in all a very nice site which we will definitely visit again if we go that way.

On arrival we were met by smiling helpful staff who explained everything about the site and showed us to our pitch. He even offered to reverse the caravan onto the pitch.
The facilities are first class and kept spotlessly clean.
The shop is well stocked with the basic essentials. You can also order a newspaper for the following morning.
As stated in other reviews, there is a railway line to the north of the site but you really do not notice the noise albeit our pitch was 100m away.
This is one of the best sites we have been on and the only negative comment is it rained a lot whilst we were on site and the roadway around the site is constructed of a slate like material which is dusty when its dry and muddy when its wet. The surface becomes very slippery when wet.
We will be returning soon.

Lovely, friendly staff, showed us to our pitch, a jumbo sized one on grass.
Quiet location, the trains not a problem and wasn't aware of any traffic noise. Good dog walk, around the perimeter of the site and around the Millpond.
However, due to there being free range hens and ducks wandering around, dogs have to be kept on leads for most of it. I would suggest fencing off part of the playing field to enable dogs to have a good run.
The Trumpet pub 5 minutes' drive away serves excellent food at a reasonable price and the Starchip Enterprise van serves excellent fish and chips if you are prepared to wait.
A good site to visit if you don't mind not having shops and restaurants within easy walking distance.

I've used this site several times, the last time on a hardstanding pitch with EHU on the main field (which has a mix of hardstanding & grass pitches, with & without EHU) despite the best efforts of the C&CC website booking system which continues to frustrate. I chose a spot at the back near the small duck pond but had forgotten about the railway track; fortunately the trains seem to stop between about 11pm and 7am.
This pitch also meant I had a fair walk to the toilet/shower block which is a bit restricted on facilities during busier times and there are no cubicles for wash basins. There is a laundry & information room next door and a covered dishwashing area around the back. The reception also stocks some basic items.
A second field with all grass pitches has some EHUs. Free wi-fi is a new bonus; mobile (O2) and 3G ('3') reception are good; radio reception OK.
The chip shop van visited 17:30 - 18:30 on Friday and served a reasonable fish & chips.
The wardens have always been friendly and helpful.
The fishing lake is always popular and there are paths for dog walking; as well as ducks and chickens there are plenty of noisy crows presumably nest building March/April.
The Trumpet Inn is about a 5 minute drive away and serves good food. Hereford is about 10 minutes away in the opposite direction, with Hay-on-Wye, Great Malvern, Ledbury all a short drive away. The Weir and Brockhampton NT sites are also nearby.
A good site that I will definitely use again.

My husband doesn't want to say anything as he doesn't want it to be too popular! Absolutely love it here. This was our first visit and we can't wait to come back. The facilities are exceptional and the staff were very helpful as soon as we arrived. We look forward to our next visit and so does Rosie our dog! Good dog walking areas but keep them on a lead as there are a lot of ducks running around! This is a terrific area to explore. Hereford is a beautiful place with a very interesting cathedral. For walkers the Malvern Hills are spectacular and although steep in places are user friendly with tarmac paths. Also worth a look are the black and white villages with their 15th and 16th century houses. These villages have a timeless quality to them and if the cars weren't there you would feel like you had stepped back in time.

I am spoilt for anywhere else now! Beautiful campsite, the cleanest toilets and showers I have ever seen, lovely and friendly staff, I can't find anything to complain about!
We were in a minority being in a tent but we had a lovely spot with a great view of the hills and not too far from the facilities. The tent was constantly surrounded by ducks, free range chickens were wandering around and we had cows in the field next door.
There was a lovely dog walk all around the outside of the campsite and it was just a short walk to The Tarrington Arms in the next village which was a great dog-friendly pub serving good bar food and cheap cider! We had fish and chips from the visiting van on the Friday night and they were the nicest fish and chips I've had in years!
We had a lovely weekend and are definitely going back again. It was quiet and chilled out and perfect

Had a nice couple of days here, it was our 1st visit. Easy to find and not much traffic noise.
Good choice of pitch warden did point out that one we had chosen had trains at back, only 2 an hour. Reasonable toilet block personally we don't like push button showers, we don't waste water but I expect some do. Large site and 4 showers in the ladies so expect to wait. A bit of a walk from some areas of the site. Only 1 block and only 1 chemical waste point.
Fishing lake is nice for a walk round, 5/7 min walk to road to bus, on time and runs into evenings which is useful. Fish and chip van on Wednesday, with a very long queue, did'nt use so no idea if any good.
Worth another visit I think.

We spent five days at this site and loved it. The staff are very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The site is clean and very well kept with excellent facilities and a great dog walk. The fishing lake attached to the site also makes for a peaceful and relaxing area to watch fishermen and wildlife.
The site is in the perfect location for visiting the 'black and white' villages, and properties such as Eastnor Castle.
We had a lovely time and will definitely be back to visit The Millpond soon.

This is a lovely site. It was busy, but units are well spaced, with the majority flat and a few with slight slope.
The site is surrounded by trees, with the extensive dog walk going through many of them. This is one of the best dog walks we've encountered - important for us and Charley the Jack Russell.
Many campers/caravanners go to the site for fishing in the large (and very attractive) lake.
I was concerned when I realised we were right next to the railway line but can honestly say it didn't disturb us. The trains are modern and quiet and don't run through the night.
The toilet block is a pleasure to use, very modern. 4 out of 6 toilets with their own basin (ladies). Neither of us (male and female) had to queue for a shower despite the site being almost full.
The staff are a wonderful bunch; unfailingly cheerful and always ready to help. The shop is open long hours - longer than other Camping and Caravan Club sites we've encountered.
The surrounding area is beautiful. The nearest small town, Ledbury, has a Tesco. The town itself is charming; full of independent shops and lots of timber framed buildings. Masses to do in the area - lots of historical places/buildings, walking, water activities on the Wye. Huge collection of leaflets in the laundry room/info room.
We had a very nice lunch at the Trumpet - on the way to Ledbury.
Oh! and there are ducks, moorhens and chickens. There is a clean, well kept recycling area.
