Having just come back from a 10 night stay all we can say about this site is that it is wonderful. We had a very relaxing time, helped immensely by the friendly staff.
We camped in a separate field to the caravans but still felt a part of the site. This field does have electric hook up. Even if you have to borrow an extension cable to use it. The fishing lake looked excellent and the many fishermen seemed very happy.I even felt sorry that I don't fish.
The facilities were good overall. The shop was wonderful with excellent food on offer. (You must try the bacon!) Wash up sinks were great (and at a good height which isn't the case in many sites!) The only slight let down was the toilet block. They were always clean but there needs to be more loos. Especially in the gents. More showers would also be good. I know that this is an area that will be addressed in the future.
Don't let this comment put you off though. This only really became an issue over the weekend when the site was full and even then it didn't spoil the site.
Overall I couldn't recommend this site hghly enough and we will be back!

Friendy welcome and very helpful assistant warden.
Had a great pitch right on the side of the lake, but no awning allowed in this row as pipes run in ground near surface.
Main field mixed caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents and tents all with EHU. Second field just tents.
One toilet block with separate disabled facilities. When we were there it rained every day so difficult to keep clean but closed for cleaning every moring from mid-morning to lunchtime so no late risers!
Fishing good,(charge) and assistant warden willing to help novices. Lots of information on local area and pubs \ resurants available. Will book a table for you. Eat a local put, is walkable but I drove!, friendly welcome and good food.
Had a good time despite the weather, would go back.

Without doubt this site is an example of what all sites should aspire to. It is a credit to the camping and caravanning club, and stands out as an example of what a franchise, or managed club site, should aim for.
It is a beautiful site, well located, and for those who prefer public transport whilst on their stay, the bus stop to Hereford and beyond, is located a short distance away. The whole site is meticulously maintained, the fishing lakes, for those wishing to partake, are beautifully set within the site, and the wildlife is abundant.
We were on a pitch, as close as you can get to the railway line which runs along side the site. The noise intrusion from the railway was almost none exsistent even in such close proximity. The most outstanding thing about this site is the extremely high standard of customer service. The facilities are spotless, the welcome is warm, but above all else the dedication, pride and enthusiasm of the site owners, is five step beyond the call of duty. What a shining example to anyone wishing to find out how it should be done. We will without doubt be back whenever we get the chance.

The Millpond, was the location for our first trip with a touring caravan 9 - 12 May, What a great place it is, quiet, yes & we like that, there were a number of people with young families, all well behaved, as were their dogs, another trial for us, was to see how our sometimes difficult dog liked it, no problems, two dog walks in secluded woodland, the aerial photo on the club site/google maps, is well out of date.
Also there is a large grassed area where the dogs can let off steam.
The site is very, very clean, we stayed three nights on a sold out weekend & there was never any litter, the toilets and showers were spotless, we were met by the friendliest of people & offered any assistance needed if we had any problems, it is fair to say that nothing was too much trouble, the reception stocks quite a few food items, though we tended to head for nearby shops or farms.
There is a good mix of grass & hard standing pitches, with a good road network around the site, power is also plentiful as are water points
There are many pubs around the area, most seemed very quiet but also welcoming, we did try a few as the weather was very hot (that's my excuse anyway)
There is a fantastic Fairtrade shop just 100m from the site gates & they had a coffee morning on the Saturday serving the most amazing lemon drizzle cake ever
I would go back just for that!
The whole area is very laid back & relaxed & we would heartily recommend this site to others.
The fishing (we don't partake) is excellent, in fact you could see the fish clearly just beneath the surface & many of the people fishing had full nets
All in all a great place for us to start our caravan career
Though I would warn that if approaching from the M42, our sat nav sent us along a couple of winding single track lanes that may deter some people, but you can easily avoid these by double checking with an atlas
We aim to be back there very soon

We stayed here for one night on Easter BH Monday.
The site owners are very welcoming and are obviously proud of their well kept site. Site very peaceful, fishing area looked good. There is a train track at the end of the site, but you wouldnt notice the noise from it. Toilets are immaculate. Would recommend it, only wish we could have stayed longer.

Stayed here to enjoy the fishing lake and wonderful surrounding areas. The toilet block is spotless as is the large reception/information room. However we awoke one morning to find parts of the site flooded, as everywhere was last june. We were fine where we were pitched but others with caravans were not so lucky. I must praise the site wardens/owners who did everything they could to help those who needed it. The reception room became the biggest drying room I have seen! The site had never flooded before. We finished our weeks stay in sunshine, fishing very good and we will return in the future.

We visited this site last weekend and had a wonderful time. Altogether there were 4 tents and 1 caravan - 17 people in all. The kids loved the conker trees all around the main field. They played football on the tent field. Showers were clean and very warm. Toilets were clean and fresh too.
The new owners made us very welcome and complimented us on the childrens behaviour which was very nice to hear. The ducks paid us a visit morning and evening which was lovely for the younger two children.
We will definitely visit again - nice, peaceful, quiet and serene. Ideal for chilling out.

Visited Millpond on a whim last Saturday, meeting up with some friends who were already there.
Arrived late, so no-one to check us in on the night; pitched ok, had a great night eating, drinking and enjoying the ambient-light free view of the night sky - are there really always that many stars?!?!?
Checked in on Sunday morning by a very friendly guy (presumably the owner, didn't catch his name); even raided his stock of eggs and croissants, which he gladly warmed in his own oven and brought over to our tent! Service above and beyond, really - top bloke!
Showers, toilets and kitchen facilities all in excellent condition; great maps and leaflets available in the main office/reception.
Great location, great site, great people - what more can you ask for?!

We were greeted by not the owners but Bob and his lovely wife who were very helpful and made us feel at home. We stayed in the tent field where there was loads of room and an area was roped off for dog exercise. The Millpond is mainly for fishermen but can also be enjoyed by campers, but I wouldn't say it was a family site unless they were all fishermen as there is no play area and obviously children are not allowed around the pools unsupervised. The facilities were spotless with the men's having urinals and 2 toilets, 3 showers and 2 washing up sinks. There is also a nice information room with all you need to know about the surrounding area. We didn't venture out much as the fishing was excellent but we did visit the local store which had everything you need, and there was a nice looking pub within walking distance. The only negative points are the fact that where we were pitched if you looked to the left you could see a row of council houses and there is a railway line close by which is in use but doesn't make enough noise to be annoying, also there is some road noise which you can hear if pitched in the tent field but not enough to stop me from staying at this excellent site again.

What a super site! Great location, loads of room round 'van, super friendly and helpful owners/staff. Superb for the fisher-kind, twitchers or lovers of beautiful countryside. Quite and peaceful. The "Millpond" is stacked with decent sized fish, and lots of ducks (catch them at your peril!). Facilities are modern, spotless and very user friendly, although no shop on site. Local pub ("The Inn") is 10 mins stroll, or a short trip in the car. Food and drink very good, nice local with frills and a decent play area for the kids. Will certainly return
