We've just spent two nights here with some glorious weather and the views out from the terraced pitches were gorgeous. Our welcome was very friendly and we were guided to our pitch, which although hard-standing, the gravel was only just wide enough for our small 'van.
The shower block is the most spacious I've seen (you could hold a dance in there) and was really clean and fresh.
A handy info page and map was supplied too, so making it a good location for various activities.

This was our first time out with a touring caravan, it was one big learning curve for us. From the start we found our Hosts very friendly, helpful and attentive. We would have been satisfied on any of the pitches as they were all well maintained. As it was we were given a front row seat to the Welsh Coast, very nice indeed.
The facilities were great [I did not have an issue with the showers, no problem pushing button after several seconds]
So from us a thumbs up, we hope to return.

Just returned today from a week of glorious views both of the sea and the mountains, the fact that the weather was hot probably helped. This was our first visit and can't wait to book for next year. What can I say this is one fantastic site, Pam and the team are always friendly and the site is a credit to them. It's absolutely spotless. The grounds are a ray of colour even though it's getting near the end of season and the shower block looked as thought it had just been cleaned no matter what of day you went. There see washing machines and a dryer and a spinner, there is even a place for hand washing and one for washing the dishes. I thought it was a nice little of touch of siting you van for you you. It is a very quiet site and you come home feeling relaxed. There is nothing I would change and I strongly recommend this site.

This is our third visit to this site, takings advantage of their 7 day off peak discount in June. Our pitch was higher up the site with all round panoramic views out to sea and the hills to the rear.
Showers and toilets were spotless, only moan here was the push bottom timer on the shower, beautiful landscaped gardens and terraces.
Local convenience store a ten minute walk away, large supermarkets in nearby Llandudno and a Shell filling station just before you turn of up, to the site.
This is a lovely peaceful site and the owners and staff go out of their way to help, we haven't booked for 2015 yet, as we maybe changing vans.

The thing that makes this site is the views, as all reviews say its set out well with nearly every pitch having a sea view. We did find the pitch sizes varied, some very large but others a bit tight especially on the lower levels.
Facilities are immaculate, despite site being full the toilets and showers were spotless at all times. Dreaded push buttons on the showers were the only slight downside, if they were set to a couple of minutes they would be more user friendly.
The site is kept beautifully with plants and flowers between tiers. Grass well mowed has rubber matting under it so you wont get bogged down. The road noise was not really noticeable, we really didn't hear anything. There is a motorhome waste point but we found it really difficult to use, on a small hill and quite tight to reverse onto.
So much to see and do in the area, Conwy and Llanduno are less than 10 minutes drive, alternatively you can be in the Snowdonia Park in minutes.
The National Cycle Route 5 runs along the sea front, almost traffic free cycling right down the coast to Mostyn or in the other direction traffic free of tiny quiet lanes into Bangor.
Overall we were very impressed with the site, its very busy which speaks for its popularity. Would have no hesitation in recommending, at £23 per night its not cheap but the views alone are worth the expense.

Where do I start, wonderful, amazing views from our serviced pitch. Status aerial picked up all the tv channels we needed and more. Weather at the beginning of our stay was not brilliant but picked up, was a bit windy when we arrived so opted not to erect the awning. All facilities spotless if a little chilly when showering and pressing the dreaded button endlessly. Some reviewers complain of the road noise from the A55 - yes it is there although we found it just a hum of traffic, in fact the bird song in the bushes behind was louder! Gladstone just in front of the site good beer and good food. Lots of help pitching the caravan, they just took over and by the time we were out of the car we were in place overlooking the brilliant sea view. Pam never, ever stops, she is either weed killing, preening the site or chatting with her guests. To sum everything up we will definitely be back, nice to be adult's only - we have had our children and have grandchildren and it is nice to be away from all the wizzing bikes, scooters, etc. Thank you Pam and the team.

Approach - just off the A55, follow directions off the site's website and you can't go wrong, its says not to use a sat nav, once there you will see why this is the case. Very easy to find and exceptionally good access.
Staff on arrival - Amazing - showed us to our pitch and had the van unhitched before we were out of the car, turned our van around for us so we could enjoy the fabulous views.
Pitch - we had a hard standing pitch with electric hookup, we needed a few levelling blocks, we have our own but there are plenty on site if you need some, it looked like most pitches needed some amount of levelling. You will need rock pegs if you put an awning up.
Facilities- Excellent, extremely clean, there are plenty of showers and toilets. There is also a laundry. Lots of information available about the local area.
Local area - There is a pub at the bottom of the road and another just a short walk away, (just under a mile) both serve food. We preferred the food in the pub further away from the site. There is a local shop and take away, and a spar a short drive away. You can walk to the beach and there is a path from the site which links to the welsh coastal path. The site is on the edge of snowdonia, so no shortage of great walks. There is a small golf course within walking distance and Conwy and Llandudno are a short drive away.
Summary - This adults only site has everything. Fantastic facilities, great sea views, friendly helpful staff, and a perfect location. Our pitch was one of the smaller ones, now we know the site I would choose a different pitch, but getting a pitch at all could prove difficult as everyone we talked to had returned time and time again and book their next stay as they leave the site. There isn't anything negative that can be said about this site.

This is a very nice site with superb sea views from all pitches
The toilet block and showers were kept very clean, I did notice though that the squeeze mops that are in the showers for you to clean your own shower smelled a bit, they could do with changing, also toilet brushes were a little grubby, that said the place is in excellent order and the gardens etc were kept very nicely. The pitch size for us was great we have a four berth van and a large awning and we had no problems with the size of the pitch
There is a road noise issue especially at night when there seemed to be cars driven very fast in low gears constantly around ten thirty every night but it's not for very long, during the day the noise isn't noticeable.
There is a nice small dog walk on the site and a fabulous beach a ten minute walk away for dogs to run around on.
The owners were helpful with getting you on and off the site
There is no shop on site but the nearest one is a ten fifteen minute walk away in the local village or there are larger shops a car ride away.
The position of the site is perfect for holidays.
We would go again without hesitation. There is a good pub just strides away too, good food etc.

We have just returned from a week on this site. The grounds are layered, so many pitches have a good view of the sea. Wardens helped us pitch, promptly swinging the van round so we could enjoy the view. Our hardstanding comprised small pieces of Welsh slate - which provides an excellent smooth base in the awning.
There is the busy A55 road - dual carriageway - and a railway line running between the site and the beach. Beach access is via the local village, through a housing estate and over a bridge - this also gives access to the cycle track. We found the beach unappealing - but obviously popular to walk dogs. Noise is constant from the road, but this was not too much of a problem.
We did not use the facilities, so cannot comment.
The views are lovely, but can only give 8/10 for Site Location for reasons given.

I have been camping in a various caravans (1990 to 2003) and 5 different motorhomes for the last 10 years. I have been all over the UK and Ireland as well as abroad to the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France Austria, Italy etc.
I have stayed in the area of Tyddyn Du in the past when I first began camping. When booking the pitch I requested the necessary pitch and awning space with electric etc and then paid a deposit. So far so good. On arrival at the site in Monday 5th August I was politely greeted by a member of staff who invited my father and me into the little hut outside the entrance barrier. Upon walking into the hut there were a line of staff sitting around the perimeter along with two dogs who made me feel a little 'on show'. Everything seemed pleasant and organised and following payment for the pitch and payment and signature for the barrier card we were directed to our pitch. What an experience. Our motorhome is 7. 2 metres in length and the steep tight driveways we were beckoned up were tight to say the least. Not to worry as we have traction control so I duly followed the member of staff to our designated pitch. This was at the very top of the campsite which enabled us to have magnificent uninterrupted views through our sitting room window. After being moved three times to position ourselves in the correct place by the member of staff we parked in position. We spent a couple of hours erecting the awning and setting up everything else. As far as we were concerned we were settled for the duration of the holiday. Apart from the steep distant incline to the toilet block we were happy. I have chronic fatigue and both my parents have knee injuries but we didn't make a fuss as it was a small inconvenience for only a week. We had our car to drive up and down in either way.
The next morning we had been getting ready for our first day out when there was a knock at the motorhome door. Another member of staff approached us to tell us that we would have to move our vehicle as we were parked the wrong way around. We explained how we had struggled to set up the awning and that turning round would be an extreme effort. Rather than cause a fuss we requested a refund as the awning move etc was a lot to undertake so soon after setting everything up. We were refused with the member of staff saying that 'Pam doesn't do refunds'. What a position we had found ourselves in.
When we checked the pitch we were on it would not have been suitable for us to turn the other way round as our motorhome would then have been sticking out too far in the way of other campers as the ground was so uneven the wheels would have been in a dip the other way around, more than levelling ramps could have coped with. We put this to another member of staff and requested an alternative pitch. Some time later it was agreed that we could move which we agreed to. The new pitch was a little short and still sloping but we persisted so as not to cause any further upset during our holiday. The bonus was that we were much lower down the site.
Generally the site is well kept and pleasant with shrubs and decorative walls etc. There are far too many signs and notices which do become a little overwhelming after a while, so much so that you tend to ignore them. As an adults only site should there really be a need for such direction?
All in all without our dreadful experience it would have been an alright site, but following our experience we shall not be returning or recommending to our friends.
