We have just returned home from this site it is the best site we have been to exceptionally clean and very well maintained we will be returning.
The lady who owns it was very friendly and always around if you needed anything. The toilet block was very modern and spotless. The site is central for BANGOR Colwyn bay Llandudno. There is even a book swap on the book case just inside the toilet block. The landscape is beautiful and the gardens are immaculate. If you are thinking of staying in the area try it you wont be disappointed

We spent a week at this site and had a lovely time. We chose the site because of the easy access from the motorway and A road - it was our first time out in a caravan and, having never towed before, my other half wanted to avoid any trips down narrow roads and up steep hills! The sites location was ideal in this case.
The site itself was lovely. Being adults only was a plus for us as it meant the site was pretty tame and quiet. The toilet and shower facilities were excellent - modern and clean (spotless!).
There was only ever one or two other people using the facilities at one time, so never a problem with having to wait to use the showers. The showers were also very roomy, with a separate area to change before and after showering. The sponge mop in each shower was great!
The only thing that we would say is that the showers work by push button - my other half likes a cool shower and found the water a bit too hot for his liking. As a woman though I didn't have a problem with the hot water!
We would recommend the Gladstone pub, especially on a Saturday night! They have a live band every Saturday - the 'Misfits' were playing when we went and they were excellent - covers of the Police, Tina Turner and the Sterophonics went down a treat (as well as a few bottles of wine!). The prices are on the high side, but then again if you drove to or got a taxi to another pub, the extra cost would mean it would work out about the same anyway.
The beach is over the road but be warned, you do need to cross the busy A road to get to it. There's a bridge which allows you to do this easily, but my youngest dog is scared of traffic so he found this quite daunting.
Conwy is lovely - we'd recommend a visit to the castle and Fish & Chips by the marina! Anglesey is also worth a visit - the countryside is beautiful and the beaches are lovely here. Overall we had a lovely stay here and would recommend this site.

Myself misses and small dog.Ex site. Lovely facilities, very well kept everywhere, ample hot water for showers and washing up.
Tent pitches G4/G5/G6 are on a slight slope, does get a bit annoying when your bottle of beer is sliding down the table, best pitches are, G1/G2/G3 and G7/G8/G9. These are fairly level, plenty of room between pitches for tent and car.
Shower and washing up facilities are very near, friendly staff we got shown to a choice of tent pitches that we could choose, from G6 was ours, on a slight slope, but we managed
Nice not to have noisy children running amok, a quiet site, mainly older folk on it, stunning views from touring pitches, trees in way of views from tent field, but still not too bad
We would def go back again to this site, plenty of people with dogs on site, but no facilities to wash them down, after a walk on the beach etc. Apart from that very pleased with site,

Our first time staying at an adult only site. We found it strangely quiet at first, but soon got used to it!
I know its been said before, but the toilet / showers and all the other facilities were really good. Always clean no matter the time of day.
We only stayed 3 nights, but liked it so much we have booked for 2 weeks in summer.
We never noticed the road noise, even though I thought it might have been a problem. Thought the pub down the road was quite expensive, won't be going there much for a drink.
There are lots of walks both in the hills and on the beach, and the cycle path isn't too far and is safe.
Pam and staff were really friendly, helping us to site caravan when we got there.
Lots of information for car boots, local markets etc which would be useful.
Couldn't fault it, can't wait to go back!

We stayed on the site for 3 nights. Don't think we've ever got on the pitch so quickly! 3 members of staff followed us up to the pitch had us unhitched and swung round in no time. Barrier to the site is always closed access is by a plastic card which cost £5.00 refundable at the end of the stay as you leave, one of the site wardens was actually waiting at the side of the barrier with the refund in her hand as we were leaving. We arrived at 1.10pm while the office was shut, not allowed to go onto site before 2pm so we parked up on the grass on the left hand side until the office opened, have to be off site on day of departure by 12.
Toilet and showers clean and tidy, mops provided in the showers to take away excess water was a nice touch as the dressing area is within the shower cubicle so makes it difficult to get dry and dressed without getting clothes wet in the process through contact with the floor. 4 shower cubicles / sinks, 8 toilets which were never busy while we were there but only one hairdryer and one hand dryer so think use of these would probably get busy when the site is full. Washing machine available, £2.00 wash and big enough to take a king size bed cover, dryer 50p for each 10mins, wash was done in 20 mins which was good as they like you to keep an eye on things while the machine is on.
Site is very exposed and got very windy on the second night, we were warned about keeping an eye on the awning when we arrived by one of the staff, woken up several times in the night to check the awning was still there, should maybe have realised when we looked around the site to see no other awnings up. Dog walk on the left hand side as you drive onto the site which isn't fenced in was very dark at night so if your dog prefers a late night walk you will definitely need to take a decent torch with you.
Beach only a 10-15 mins walk away, via a walk bridge over the dual carriage way, we got directions from the office lovely sandy beach with loads of room for the dog to run mad, if you're car (like ours) runs off LPG the Shell garage just before juntion 16 on the dual carriage way had LPG available. All in all we had a wonderful break, quiet and restful would definitely recommend.

We have just spent a fabulous 10 days at Tydynn Du,and what a fantastic time was had,so good was the site we booked an extra 2 nights. Pam and her staff are fantastic, they are so helpful and friendly. The site facilities are top class ample showers with lots of hot water always clean and tidy.Fantastic views, lovely and tidy and although many people had dogs, there wasn't any dog mess anywhere (my pet hate as a dog owner)
And all though the site was fully booked it was total peace and quiet just as we wanted it to be.We will be booking again,
So its a big well done to Pam for having a fantastic site, there is absolutely nothing I could whinge about.

Just got back from this lovely adults only site and would highly recommend to one and all. Pam and her staff offer you a warm welcome and even show you to your pitch.
The site has many levels and areas so feels quite small. Most pitches (grass and hardstanding available) have wonderful views of the sea, Puffin Island, Angelsey and The Great Orme, Llandudno - especially when the sun shines. The toilet block is very well kept and has plenty of toilets, sinks and 3 or 4 showers. The one thing it would benefit from is privacy cubicles but that is just my personal thought. Useful information room too. There are strict re-cycle rules on site, which is good.
A short walk from the site entrance takes you to the Gladstone pub. We did not use the pub because it's not doggie friendly but have heard good things about it from friends. In the opposite direction is a bus stop. Buses run infrequently but on time. We caught the bus to Conwy on the Sunday for £7.60 return for 2 adults and our dog was free! The little village of Penmaenmawr is about 3/4 of a mile walk from the site but doesn't offer much!
All in all, a lovely quiet site run by lovely people - what more could we want?!

Just returned from a two week stay at Tyddyn Du and would definitely return if in the area again. Pam and her team are a real friendly bunch who escort all the tourers to their pitches and even help to position the caravan - I suppose this is to their benefit as well as that way it can be managed how the tourers are spaced etc.
The park itself is ideally located for touring Snowdonia (some of the most spectacular scenery we have ever seen!) a few miles from Llandudno and Conway and Bangor in the other direction so lots to do without travelling too far. If you enjoy walking this site is paradise with walks into the mountains accessible without taking the car if you are energetic enough and if not a short drive will give direct access at higher levels.
The beach is a ten minute stroll and is deserted even in August - that said you have to cross a major road bridge and railway bridge to get to the beach and the bridge is far from pleasant with dog pooh everywhere! The village is a walk or short drive away (1.5 miles) and has the usual amenities, Spar, takeaways, library and chippies etc. Further afield you have all of the Snowdonia attractions / pursuits imaginable and something to suit all tastes and budgets.
The Gladstone pub at the end of the drive is lovely, very busy with good food but a bit pricey, they serve real ales and good size portions and have live music every Saturday.
The amenities on the site are very well cared for and very clean and even though only four showers in male and female block we never had to queue for one, the water was always hot but a minor niggle was the button you had to press every few seconds to keep the water flowing - a pet hate of mine and very difficult when trying to wash your hair - but hey who said life was perfect?
The views from the site are lovely and I think that virtually everyone gets a sea view, not sure about the camping field though I think the view may have been obstructed by the trees, however this may be a bit of a windbreak because the site is notoriously windy! a fact we found out from the many regulars who were more than happy to share their tales of horror about awnings blowing away and people taking shelter in each others vans in the middle of the night, probably slight exaggerations but I would say that all weather tie down kits are absolutely essential, we only had two days out of the whole fortnight without wind and ended up taking our awning down after the first week because we were sick of hearing it blowing all night and feeling the tug on the van. Another essential if taking an awning are rock pegs our pitch was slate shingle and we didn't have enough rock pegs, obviously we weren't the only ones as none to be found for miles around had to go all the way to Towyn to get some ! so make sure you take some !
Made a really pleasant change to go to a site that wasn't hell bent on getting more cash out of you all the time you are there - no over priced shop on site, no bar, no horrible amusement arcades - just peace and quiet - perfect, thoroughly enjoyed !

Just got back from a weeks stay here, and barring the horrendous weather, enjoyed every minute of it.
The site mainly caters for motorhomes and touring vans, and from what I can tell, the vast majority are on hardstandings along the terraces laid out along the hill, with good views for all.
I was a bit disappointed at first with the grass tent pitches, as the trees blocked the view out to sea. But in reality, the view up the hill isn't too bad, and with the exposed position of the site to the Welsh wind and rain, those trees were a blessing in disguise.
Pam and her staff have a fantastic site here, spotlessly clean and well looked after, with top-notch facilities, and the Gladstone pub 2mins walk away, it's definitely worth a return visit.

Visited this site after two recommendations.
Location lovely, we pitched at the bottom where all the tents are on pitch one and had a view of the sea and the hill behind - very impressive whatever the weather. Road noise is a pain but prob worth it for location.
Facilities very clean - toilet block well maintained although showers a bit too hot and the type you have to keep turning on! Would have welcomed a couple of private wash rooms as many sites have these days. Gents only has two sinks which bothered my other half as two men shaving at sinks meant he couldn't wash his hands - would recommend a little separate sink for hand washing! Hair dryer broke when we were visiting although Pam (site owner - lovely lady) opened the disabled loo so I could use that.
Freezer to freeze ice packs etc up at top of site (I imagine this was the old entrance and old facilities - vast improvement with new ones!) - free to use. Excellent washing up facilities, laundry etc in main toilet block.
Went to The Gladstone at the bottom of the hill for dinner twice - good food if a bit pricey.
Bought calor gas on site - pretty expensive.
Local village full of undesirables so didn't stop there however Conwy v nice.
Perfect location to get around north wales.
