Lovely clean site beautiful views if the weather is good. Recommend you take your guide ropes for your awning if windy. Not much room for awning and car on the pitches.

Toilets and shower block very clean but no private washing area. Only 4 wash basins along side each other.

Toilet block dark but very clean. Good information area. Only 2 sinks for pot washing but washing machine and dryer.

Plots on a hillside so take your leveling blocks. Nice helpful staff on arrival.

If it's windy and raining the winds hit you full on being on the hillside so go prepared.

The site is good if used as a base to get around, unless you like walking.

We stayed here for a week in July 2011, from the moment we entered the site, we felt completely at home here, Pam the owner was extremely helpful and we were shown to our pitch and even helped to unhook our caravan and move it into place.

We had a great spot and perfect for watching the evening sunset, which we were lucky enough to see for about four nights out of the week,

The site is spotless and the toilet, shower block is fantastic, there is a super dog walk area, that is perfect for exercising the dogs away from the caravan.

The site is very easily accessible, directly off the main A55, as new caravanners we are quite wary of access to sites and worry about getting stuck in a one track road, there is no chance of this here, the access is great.

We have booked to go back in October, and although the weather may not be as good, we are looking forward to seeing the site at a different time of year.

Only downside is there was no on site shop. But not far away to a local shop.

Just returned from this site, after staying for 4 nights.

Site was superbly set out and had great views with beautiful landscaped grounds. We were on G4 which had a slight slope but nothing too much. We thought the pitches were a little small, as there were 3 large tents together and you were quite close to each other, but not too close to spoil anything.

As stated many times the shower/amenity block is excellent although I agree you could probably do with extra sinks in the gents shower room.

The Gladstone Hotel at the bottom of the site is a really nice place serving a range of real ales and the food was excellent, though a little pricey. There is also a nice country pub about a 15 minute walk away called The Fairy Glen, which was really nice and again served a range of real ales and sold food although we didn't try the food.

A good base for touring North Wales as everywhere is easily accessible via the A55 which runs along the bottom of the site. The noise from this is noticeable at first but you soon get used to it and it certainly doesn't spoil the tranquillity of the site. Will be back to visit in the future.

What a lovely site. The views are superb out to sea could see Puffin Island and Anglesey on a tiered site.

Toilets very large and clean (no privacy cubicles) OH said they could have done with a couple more basins, but plenty in ladies showers good.

There is a good info room and books to borrow. Covered wash up area with laundry. There is not a shop on site but a short walk about 10 minutes to an off-licence, small general store with papers and bits you may need and Chinese take-away (did not use).

There is a pub about 2 minutes walk draught beer OH liked and food looked good but did not eat there. The bus stop is about 4 minutes walk with a service Route 5 to Caernarfon one way and Llandudno, the other the drivers are very helpful friendly and pleasant (we got a day pass showing our English OAP passes for £3. 50 each and we could get on and off any bus all day).

Will definitely be back the staff are very friendly and helpful and busy all day keeping the grounds lovely and attending the reception.

NB The reception is closed between 12 and 2 we had to wait for an hour until 2 but parked up and went to the pub.

We stayed for 4 nights and wished we had booked for longer, we had a elevated pitch which was perfect, hard standing for the van and grass for the awning, great views over looking the bay and sea beyond.

I find it hard to add to previous reviews on the facilities, only that they are excellent and worth every penny.

Great dog walk on the way to the Gladstone hotel, not the cheapest food around but very tasty along with a pint. Small shopping area around the corner for papers, milk etc.

Some of the pitches were a little tight for some of the caravans as they couldn't erect their awning and get their cars along side as well.

This will be our first stop next time we are in Wales.

What a fabulous adults only site. Do you know we never once saw a cleaner in the beautiful, modern well equipped facilities block but it was always spotless.

They have lovely shower cubicles with seat and hooks, lots of wash basins, free hairdryer, plenty of loos and a great washing up/laundry room. Lots of water points on site, plenty of hard standing and incredible views.

The owner and staff are super friendly but don't over do it and the location for visiting places is wonderful. There is a central tourist information point and books and magazines for use whilst on site.

10 minute walk gets you to the beach which is huge and sandy, 5 minutes gets you to the base of the mountain behind the site and about 10 minutes gets you to the small town centre.

There is a bit of an issue in the area of people not picking up after their dogs, the bridge that you cross to the beach (it crosses the A55 and train track) was littered with dog muck which wasn't very nice - signs up everywhere asking people to pick up (which we did - dogs are welcome on site). The beach itself is very clean as the tide comes right in.

Driving to Snowdonia, about half an hour, Anglesey about the same - the Menia Straits are beautiful and Church Island is well worth a visit. Beau Maris also very pretty and lots of space for motorhome parking on the front.

There is a local pub within skipping or staggering distance (depending on whether you are on the way there or the way back). We didn't sample it though so can't comment on what it's like inside.

The only down side for us is that we live in the middle of nowhere at home, so we found the road noise a bit of an issue at night. The A55 is very close which is great for access but it doesn't really seem to sleep. We have a pop top campervan and sleep in the roof but I am sure motorhomes and caravans wouldn't find it an issue at all. The trains didn't bother us at all.

We had a fabulous holiday and enjoyed our time in North Wales, the area is beautiful and we found the locals very friendly.

Would highly recommend this lovely site which is well kept, has some lovely flowers and plants, is surrounded by fields of sheep and horses and very friendly.

7/10 given for the location, purely because of the road.

What a fabulous site for adults only and as previously stated by others with easy access off the A55.

The park is very professionally run and stands out a mile from local competition grass short, hard standings good and toilet and shower facilities clean and fresh looking.

The park has fantastic views of the coastline with lots of things to do on the doorstep. The Gladstone pub in front is good value for money and within anybodies walking distance right outside the park entrance.

All in all a lovely stay my only criticism is the time just flew by because I enjoyed it so much. Will definitely be going back next year.

Visiting Tyddn Du Touring Park was one of the most pleasant experiences we have enjoyed since taking up caravanning a year ago.

This site is the complete package from start to finish.

On arrival you are met by friendly faces who take a minimum amount of time on the paperwork. You are guided to your pitch and there are two people to help you into position. The electric hook up is close by as is the water and whilst setting up when you look up, the views are stunning.

The washrooms are excellent, spacious and well looked after. The utility room for washing up, washing/drying/ironing clothes is spotless and the whole place has a ‘five star’ feel to it all.

Its adults only and so quiet. There is a prepared area to exercise dogs and a bin provided for dog poo. The whole park is so well looked after its a credit to the owners.

The site is heavily into recycling and the bins are by the electric barrier at reception.

We were only there two nights sadly, but it will be one of our main stop offs in 2011 and for a lot longer than two days!

The site is local for everything you need and the beach is incredibly clean.

The only drawback was finding a pub that would allow us to take our little dog. The Gladstone won’t and I went on line and found The Groes Inn, near Conwy (about five miles away). It’s a bit pricey but lovely food and very welcoming hosts.

Access? You won’t find an easier site close to a main road (A55). But whilst you can hear cars and trains they are far enough away not to cause a problem.

I now need to get my holidays organised for 2011 and book a return trip to Tyddn Du.

We loved this campsite. The peace and quiet was fantastic. All facilities were very clean, tidy and spacious. We also liked the fact that it was flat price to stay, no adding on for this and that. The pub at the bottom of the site was fab too. Best meal have had in ages. We loved Conwy, driving though Snowdonia (try the B roads there are some real hidden gems) and Llanduddno. The cable cars up the great Orm were good fun and value for money. Although the 'pub / cafe / amusements place at the summit was a bit tacky. Definitely going back again.

Spent 4 days at this site, wished we stayed longer best site we've been to so far. Only £20 per night and that includes hookup. Excellent shower block, very clean didn't have to wait for showers which are free and free use of hair dryer. Good indoor pot washing area with washer and dryer. Wi fi available. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

We got tent pitch G1 after being recommended by a previous review, and it was definitely the best pitch as it was a very large corner plot with a see view and mountains to the rear. Security on site was excellent.

Good fish and chip shop in village, but don't recommend the Chinese round the corner. Conwy has some good shops and nice places to visit- plas mawr, castle and the smallest house youve ever seen. LLandudno worth a visit lots of gift shops and places to eat also an asda. Great Orme has a tram or cable cars to take you to the top, or you can drive up there, nice views.

All in all the site is ideally situated for exploring north Wales or just relaxing. We have already booked for next year. If staying in a tent you would need to take rock pegs as the ground is quite stony.
