Lovely little site 5 minutes from the village centre which has plenty of facilities, corner shop/Post office, Baker, plenty of pubs to choose from. The village was busy ( we arrived on Sunday )
Plenty of space between units at the site. Lovely and clean toilet and shower block ( though showers out of bounds due to covid) plenty of hand sanitizer around the camp site to keep everything covid safe. Friendly welcome on arrival. Lots of lovely walks.
Only thing to be mindful of is the single track road leading to the site. To combat any possible congestion the owners do specify arrival After 1. 30pm and departure before 11am

Pleasant site, close to the village of Reeth.
Excellent location for walking and cycling.
Owner was very pleasant and helpful.
Very aware of how to be COVID secure. It would have been great to have one shower available

Lovely quiet site. Lovely spot within Reeth. Will definitely return. The owners very friendly and the camp was covid safe. Precautions in place.
Great communication from the site via email and messenger. Although there was no showers open due to covid, we managed and the toilets themselves were still open. Short Walk from the village of Reeth.
There's pubs, cafes, ice cream shop and plenty of areas to walk through the Dale's.

Great site. Flat pitches. The Owners are very friendly and helpful. Perfect location for walking and cycling.
Lovely village just a few minutes walk away. We stayed for 5 nights.
Would fully recommend to anyone wishing to visit the yorkshire dales. Also because of the pandemic right now the pitches are well spaced apart so there's plenty of room for everyone with hand sanitizer points everywhere.
We fully enjoyed our time here and will definitely visit again.

Just home from our trip to Reeth. Lovely location and close to the village with its pubs, cafes and couple of convenience stores.
However, all the pitches on site are grass and some rather worn and uneven. The electric is only 6amp and even to use a low amp kettle, you have to turn the fridge off.
The Elsan disposal and drinking water tap are not up to standard and the toilet block is old and only one shower, definitely ready for an upgrade!
The new owners are very nice and will obviously do work on the site as and when they can. None of the above would stop us coming but it would be nice to see improvements for our next visit.

Lovely well kept campsite in great location in reeth village.
I don't think people realise it is there as it's tucked away. 3 dog friendly pubs in reeth as well as post office, cafes, spar and ice cream parlour.
Toilets and showers fine. Reasonable price (£20 for campervan, awning, electric, 2 adults + 1 dog). Very friendly helpful owners.
Two very friendly resident hens who like to visit guests to see if there are any titbits on offer ha ha (very cute).

The site is well placed for Reeth village with its pubs, shops and cafes. It's about a 5 minute walk in and they have just about everything you need. The location is beautiful, beside the River and with views along Swaledale.
It's a flat, grassy site with plenty of shelter from trees, including apples with a mix of statics, seasonal vans and tourers. The owners turned out to be friendly and helpful. There is no shortage of interesting walks with views. We paid £15+2. 50 for EHU. All very positive.
On the debit side, the toilet and power supply need updating. Power supply has a 6amp fuse and you need a travel kettle to boil water. Toilets and showers, though clean are dated and there is only 1 in the Men's at least.
This is a lovely site though.

Quiet campsite in a lovely setting next to the River Swale in the village of Reeth. The site has a mix of static caravans, caravans, camper vans and tents. The statics are quite old.
From a tent camping perspective, the site offers the following good points:
1. It’s relatively cheap. We paid £20 per night including electric hook-up, and we brought two dogs and two cars. Considering this was June, we felt this came in at about £10-15 cheaper than most other sites
2. The site is well sheltered by trees. There were strong 50mph winds one day but the tent barely moved.
3. Pitches are flat, the grass is well cut, no stones and there’s plenty of space, despite it being a small site.
4. The village has some shops for basic provisions as well as some pubs. All within a 5-10 minute walk max.
5. It’s very quiet at night. You don’t hear traffic or village noise.
Some things which are not so great:
1. The toilet/shower block could do with modernizing. There were three toilets in the gents and one shower, right next to one of the toilets. Not great to be showering whilst someone next to you is on the loo. The shower requires 20p for five mins. Always annoying to be dealing with this kind of shower facility. No running hot water in the toilets means you have to wash your hands with cold water.
2. Could do with having a water tap near to the tent pitching area. In fact, if there are plans to build a new shower and toilet block, I’d suggest it is located nearer to where the tent pitches are, as tent campers need these facilities more than those in statics, tourers etc.
3. Only one narrow road entrance/exit from the park, and bumpy in places. Not great for vehicles nor pedestrians and dog walkers.
4. Not a criticism of the site, more the location. Whilst very pretty, getting to anywhere requires travelling down single track winding roads with lots of hills, dips and single track bridges. Crow flies distances of 10-15 miles become 45 minute journeys.
For the price, the value is ok, and i’m sure the new site owners - who were very friendly and helpful - will do their best to maintain and improve the site. As it standstill just now, i’d be inclined to look at other options for tent camping, even if it meant paying a little more per night.

Lovely location in Swaledale near Reeth. Well maintained grounds run by a pleasant husband and wife team, they are to be found around the campsite on a regular basis keeping things under control.
Mixture of statics, tents, touring caravans and motorhomes.
Electric hook up available.
Shower block is adequate, does the job but is dated. Only one shower in the mens - runs scalding hot if someone turns on a cold water tap! No hot water at the pot wash.
No play facilities for small kids - site is more suitable for campers with no kiddies and those young or fit enough to do the coast to coast.
Reeth is a picturesque town with several pubs, a convenience store, post office, bakery & ice cream parlour.
