Facilities for our purpose were perfect. The owner was a gent to offer the spare caravan for the group [but I hardened it out in tent!]
The value for money was great.
The mountain biking in the rain and wind and cold. Sorts a weary head from previous nights beverage from local drinking holes! Three to amble around. No problem for food.
Shame it appears that the site closes after October. We will be back in new season.
Thankyou.

Arrived at this site over the bank holiday weekend.
Lovely well kept site with lovely apple trees everywhere.
The camp site owner Peter couldn't have been more helpful, showing us to our pitch, telling us where everything was and the local facilities.
Reeth is a lovely village with 3 pubs and a few cafe and shops.
We came to Reeth to cycle as it is a good area having quiet country lanes but killer hills. We had a very enjoyable time.
There was only 1 shower( 1 in the ladies and 1 in the gents)but even though it was a busy bank holiday we never had to queue. The toilet block was a little bit dated but very clean.
There was a lot of coast to coast walkers arriving each day on the site and Peter had a few caravans for them to stay in instead of them having to camp which was a nice touch.
Would definitely come back to this site due to the friendliness of the owner, beautiful site and lovely village with all the dales has to offer.
Richmond and Leyburn only a short drive away.

Spent 3 nights here whilst walking in the area and found it to be a very good site with a most helpful owner. The pitches were level, the facilities good and overall it was a very reasonable package.
Reeth is a nice village, if very busy at the weekend, and all along Swaledale there are interesting small villages and hamlets. The walking is excellent and with the old lead mines and smelters etc very interesting; it is easy to imagine the hard, and probably short, life the workers had.

A lovely little site hidden at the bottom of Reeth village. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and his wife, who took time to have a chat and were very friendly. Only a 2 minute walk to the village which is well stocked with pubs and adequate shopping. Ideally placed for day trips to Richmond to the east, and Kirkby Stephen at the far western end. Placed at the southern end of the Swaledale valley you can easily take a trip via Grinton to Leyburn, or over Redmire to Wensleydale, where there are a few different choices as to which route to take back over int Swaledale We will definitely be back.

Used the static caravan on this site and although it is basic it was modestly priced. The little village of Reeth is an ideal spot from which to explore the beautiful surrounding area of Arkengarthdale, Gunnerside, Muker, Keld and Richmond to name but a few.
The campsite is small, level and well maintained and only 5 minutes walk into Reeth where there are 3 pubs from which to select for enjoyable meals. There is also a Post Office/General store and bakery in the village.
For those that require it, there is a Dales bus service, with information on times to be found in the very helpful Tourist Information Office in the village which, also has local maps of the many beautiful walks in the area.
Just go and enjoy, you'll not be disappointed. Thank you Peter and Pam for warm welcome and kind help during our wonderful experience. William & Margaret (N. Ireland)

Walking Herriot way with WET WET tents in our packs, not looking forward to pitching them again. Arrived at Orchard to be greeted by the owner. He enthusiastically led us straight to our free upgrade. A static caravan! if he had sported a halo it would have been so appropriate, want a saint! The showers were free too! (Because of a malfunction in the coin slot, but who cares!) not the easiest showers to control or the newest, but FREE sort of negates this. Met the owner again in pub, really friendly, get the feeling nothing would be too much trouble.

We stayed here in June and so glad we did! It is a beautiful small friendly site, surrounded by the most breathtaking scenery. The village is really quaint, and the pubs are very dog friendly.
The campsite is maintained to a high standard and is kept beautiful, it's very pretty and the toilet/shower blocks are spotlessly clean all the time.
Pam and Peter are a great couple, Peter has a fab sense of humor and can't do enough for you to make your stay a happy one.
We have booked again for August and I'm sure this is going to be our No1 Campsite.
Job well done x x

Had a lovely stay at Orchard caravan park at Reeth. Peter the site owner could not have been more helpful or hospitable. The site is very well maintained. It is within walking distance of Reeth village where there is a choice of 3 pubs. We were on a walking course and the countryside around reeth is lovely and offers excellent walking country. The only problem for us was that the site only has 6 amp electric, which meant occasionally we had to reset the electric as we blew it. The toilet block was clean but a bit old fashioned. Overall well worth a visit and we will be going again!

Very enjoyable stay on a quiet, peaceful site. The site manager finds the time to make visitors feel welcome and was especially kind and thoughtful to our grandchildren. The ground was very wet due to the weather that had been experienced but he guided us to the driest part of the site which unfortunately only had a 5amp electric supply. However, he also provided us with a key to enable us to reset the power when we tripped the switch. Toilet block was perfectly adequate although we used our own facilities. The waste emptying point was fine, water supply was fine. Everything was fine!

This site is run by a lovely bloke called Peter, who is very friendly and helpful and makes very nice quiches and apple pies which he sells on a table with an honesty box.
If you are doing the Coast to Coast, as we were, you will probably be offered one of two static caravans for the same price as camping. This is great for bad weather days, is very thoughtful of the owners, and at such a bargain price is extremely welcome!
The bathroom facilities are nothing out of the ordinary, but are adequate. The site itself is quiet and set amongst fruit trees, so is very pleasant. And only five minutes from village shops and pubs, so also a great location. Will return.
